It's been months since Write Holliday has written anything. Not that he doesn't want to, but in the past months he has allowed himself to take a long vacation across the nicest parts of Equestria. This vacation, however, has come to a close and he is now more determined than ever to get back in the saddle and start a new story, one that many across all of Equestria can read and love, one that he knows will be the one to take his fame from local writer with some groups of avid followers, to that second-only to Daring Do!
There is one issue, however... he doesnt know where to start. It's been so long since his last book that he has lost all previous ideas and needs to start anew, start something that is way out of his comfort zone.
Rolling out of bed, he lands on all fours and walks to the window in his room, petting his cat on the way. "I need to find insperation, find something that will get me back in the saddle... but where?" He asks his cat to, unsurprisingly, a happy pur and a calm yawn. "You seem to have plenty of inspiration." Looking back out the window, he decides to put the book on hold and just simply enjoy the day after the vacation. "I'll be back Chowder, I'm going to the park."
As he walks outside he feels his head clear, a moment of serenity coming from the crystal-blue sky and the cool breeze over his coat. "Such a perfect day." He reaches the park and notices it's empty. Considering the time, 9 in the morning, he isn't too surprised. Then again, some company wouldn't exactly be the worst thing in the world. He moves under a tree and looks up, the leaves still bright green and the bark a beautiful deep-brown. "Maybe... maybe a story where the leaves all turn red, and the pegasi have to paint them all! Or, then again, maybe not. After all, wouldn't everyone pitch in? And besides, wouldn't everypony be more interested as to why it happened as supposed to how to fix it? Yeah, I'll pass on that."
Wondering around again, he notices a pond. Nothing special, just a small pond with clear blue water. "How about..." he begins to pitch to himself, "A story where all water in Ponyville is suddenly gone and the next day, it begins to downpour in the Everfree, so the princesses must visit and find out why the water was moved from Ponyville and into the Everfreee!"
A smile disappears from his face when he realizes the difficulties in making a realistic event where all water is moved from one location to another. Come on Write, forget about writing. Just, relax and enjoy this perfect day in this perfect and quiet park, he thinks to himself.
He smiles and sits on a soft patch of grass overlooking a calming stream. The still-quiet park is steady and calming, a serene setting for a story. "Maybe a story where the streams fill with juice and... I'm doing it again, come on, relax."
