Write feels a slightly-embarrassed, though thankful smile come on while listening to Ejaz. "Thanks Ejaz, that means a lot." He says, gratitude filling his voice and a blush appearing. "Uh, but that sounds like an awesome idea Slide, it's up to you and Ejaz whether you want to hit Sugar Cube first or the library. I have no preference, and I'm free for the rest of the day anyway. But first Slide," he says, "crank it up!"
And thus the tune played. A tune Write had never heard before, and one that Slide took clear, and deserved, pride in. Write began swaying to the music as it picked up, feeling lighter and happier with every note change. As the tune got faster and more pronounced, he began to notice the crowd taking shape. Ponies of all kinds coming to this little area just for Slide and his trombone.
The music then got less hyper and more happy, having a mellow tune to it. The crowd was now a formidable one, and those listening were all different ages and sizes, banding together to hear this happy, up-beat solo. Write looked to his right and saw a snail slowly making his way over. He let it crawl to his hoof and they both sat there, with Ejaz, and listened to the rest of the performance.
As this dancing and high-energy star of a pony was finished, the crowd dispersed and the snail nodded to Write before leaving the area. "Well then," Write stated, taking a breath after a breath taking performance, "that must have been the best non-scheduled performance I have ever heard. That was exquisite Slide, excellent job."
