Yeah.. the bit everyone hates. Site rules. But we need some order in this place, to keep everything fair and safe, okay?

That's pretty much it. When I think of more to add, I'll update the list. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Main Site Rules
1.) No swearing.
Dumb rule I know, but let's try and keep it clean since it is a kid's show. xD
2.) You can claim three official characters from the show to play on the boards, however, you can only claim one of the Mane Six. But you are free to make up to 15 OC's As long as you use all of them. If you don't, we have a right to hold some from you until your activity goes up. To claim a canon character you must first make an OC and be active for a period of time.
3.) When roleplaying, please use at least 250 words, and make your posts well detailed with proper grammar. As a courtesy to others make sure you give them something to react to as well as reacting to the previous post. Roleplay is about equal give and take after all.
4.) Be nice and respect other members. No discussions of religion, politics.. or anything else that doesn't belong on a freaking My Little Pony site. Try to get along with everyone, please.
5.) No spamming.
This means no useless posts or double-posting (if you want to add more to a post, just edit it. If you did it by accident, hit that helpful 'Delete' button in the corner) and keep on topic. Don't post OOC messages in roleplay threads unless you need to.
6.) Your character can be in Liquid Time - which means they can be in more than one roleplay area at a time. Just try not to get confused.
7.) No godmodding or powerplaying.
This means controlling someone else's character. It's very annoying, just don't do it.
8.) You're not allowed to roleplay with a character until it's been accepted, obviously.
9.) If you're going to be absent for a period of time for reasons you cannot help, please post it in the Absences board so we know. If you play an official character, we can put it and any roleplays it's in on pause by your request.
10.) If you play an official character (particularly one from the Mane Cast) and are away for one month without explanation, a pm will be sent to you. If we get no reply or sign of you after two months, your official character will be put on open for another player, unless the same cycle happens again.
11.) Signature sizes.
Any images or banners under posts must be under 750 pixels long and under 250 pixels high. To save the boards being stretched, of course.
12.) Respect post orders! Most roleplays involve taking turns. If you're in a roleplay that does this, WAIT FOR YOUR TURN BEFORE POSTING.
13.) Respect private roleplays. If a roleplay is marked "closed", "private", "semi-open" or "complete" then you MAY NOT POST until the creator or a member has said you are allowed to.
14.) As your character(s) and their relationships change and develop, don't forget to keep your bios and logs up-to-date!
15.) Any threads that haven't been active or replied to for two months will be assumed as dead and thus moved to the archive board.
16.) If you want to revive a dead thread, then ask a member of staff if they can move it back to its respective location, and make sure to keep it active.
17.) This is a canon board. meaning that this site sticks to what is on the show with exceptions granted to those with a true factor of plausibility to be determined by a mod. Don't randomly bring up any unapproved fanon, whether self made or is popular in the fandom.
18.) Please try and have a username you plan on keeping. It gets annoying and confusing when people suddenly change their names.
19.) If someone has not seen any new episode, please do not spoil it for them. This goes for chat and threads, mark clearly that a thread has spoilers in the title and do not mention spoilers in chat.
20.) Before applying for another OC, we ask that members first reach at least 2 full pages of an rp with their previous character. That's around 15 posts, so its not much at all.
Shoutbox Rules
The Shoutbox at the bottom of the main page has certain rules that must be followed as well.
1.) The box is merely a privilege and thus you must be a member of the forum and active RPer to use it.
2.) NO SWEARING. If you can't say it on basic television, you can't say it in the chat.
3.) No spamming. If you are talking rapidly, saying random and pointless things, or just being generally annoying, you're breaking this rule.
4.) If an admin or mod demands silence, YOU WILL BE SILENT. Stop typing, sit back, and listen.
5.) NO ROLE-PLAYING IN THE CHAT. Emoting is fine, but don't go into a wild epic with someone in the chat. That's not what it's there for.
6.) Don't break the law. No violence, stealing, insulting, or otherwise harming another member in the chat. This rule is coupled with the No RP rule, and you will receive a warning for both if you break this one.
7.) The admins and mods have FINAL JUDGEMENT. If we say something needs to stop, a player needs to leave, or lay down some other ruling, it WILL be followed.
8.) No discussing politics, religion, sex, violent matters or anything else that could bring up an argument with someone else or could be offensive.
9.) BE NICE TO EVERYONE. If someone's being rude or mean to you, tell a member of staff so we can deal with it. It's what we're here for.
