It was mid-day as the train pulled up to the station. Steam bellowed from the sides as the individual car doors opened up one after another. A plethora of different ponies walked out of the cars, sometimes stopping to converse with friends or family members that were awaiting their arrival. Others simply got off and started heading towards the town. The sun Celestia had raised that morning shone beautifully as one individual in particular stepped off the train. A tall, white stallion with a gold-colored mane and brilliant yellow eyes confidently strolled out of the car and took in a deep breath. "So this is the town I've heard so much about, Ponyville" he said in a mildly deep voice. He looked around and began to walk forward, taking in the sights as he excitedly thought about his new life in town.
'I wonder who I can help first?' he wondered to himself as he was walking through the streets. So many other ponies were active today, many of which seemed to glance at him from the corners of their eyes. 'I suppose I do stand out a little...' he thought to himself. He continued walking through the market street, thinking that he should probably find a job to start things out on. It didn't have to be anything spectacular, just something that would keep him busy in his spare time. He stopped and looked all around, seeing a multitude of different options for one such as himself. He thought about it for a bit and then decided he would find out later; right now, he needed a place to live, and there didn't look as though there would be many opening for real estate anytime soon, so he headed for the hotel.
He stepped out moments later, now having secured a place to live for the next few weeks while he saved up enough to purchase a house of his own. 'I wonder if should make some friends while I'm at it?' he wondered. Having a few friends would certainly better the outlook of moving to a new location. With that in mind, he headed towards the park, since many ponies talked about going there to spend time with others. He smiled warmly and sprinted over to the park, eager to make some new friends and start his new life on the right hoof.
