Fast Food: Who doesn't want a few tasty treats here and there? It may be a slight bit unhealthy, but it would be nothing for Cal to worry about. Specifically donuts, hay-fries, cupcakes, he couldn't decide!
Warmth: Being a guy that just darn right hates the cold, it wouldn't make sense if being warm would be part of his dislikes. Wrapped inside a cozy blanket, sipping a mug of hot cocoa, watching his favorite show as he sits on his couch filled with pillows and heat pads? Yeah, he does that every day.
Playful accompanies: Calvin is very social, so hanging out with a friend on every single weekend wouldn't be so bad for him. Although he can be annoying, once you warm up to him and get to the point where you can just let yourself go without worrying that you look good around him, he'll be very calm. He might even hug you, and that's basically a blessing.
Nature: Forests, trees, bushes, flowers, squirrels, I guess hanging out with Fluttershy wouldn't be so bad. He was raised on a farm in the middle of nowhere (specifically on the outskirts of Los Pegasus, [look at a map if you need to]) where endless fields felt... Well, endless. There were no trees, the same creatures roamed around, oh look, a bird.... Oh look, it's the same bird. Being immersed in such a busy area loaded with wildlife (he would even prefer the Everfree Forest) would sound the most exciting for him.
Blue: Blue, the color of his mane, eyes, fur, the sky, his father, all looked so appealing to him. He never really knew why, golden was often seen in the wheat crops, as well as the brilliant sunshine he soaked in everyday. Blue just seemed so vibrant, so different, just like him.
Dislikes
Cloudy Days: Dull. Done and done. He hated it so much, he loved the rainbow, whether it be green or brown, he enjoyed it. But gray? Black? White? Those weren't even colors, as well as happy shades, at least. During those days where the other pegasi wouldn't hit all of those pesky fluffs, or if they intentionally spread them around to soak the soil for crops, it still wasn't very pleasant for him.
Dark Rooms/Darkness in General: He hated feeling blind, as if he couldn't see other people's smiles, or maybe even his own if it were dark enough. He never felt safe without a nightlight, or the light from the moon that always shined through his window at night. (I know, it's childish, but he's adorable so that's a plus and minus.)
Silence: This goes along with the dark rooms as well. Without the happy cheers of citizens walking around town, or his own squeaky voice that broke the silence, he felt alone, even if he was to be sleeping next to somebody during a visit. You can already say that he hates being/feeling alone.
Motivation
Cake: Notice I didn't mention cake in his likes? That's right, I saved the best for last. Every single time he sees even a fork-full of the cake, that delicious, sugary frosting, and the spongy cake itself taste like heaven. He wouldn't be able to live without the beauty and taste of cake, so using that as an advantage would be pretty useful.
Love: Actually, when he was just a foal, he never really got any attention from his parents. They treated him like he were older, making him do work, homework, and chores around the house. He never got a "goodnight" or "sweet dreams" kind of thing. So love is very important to him that he cherishes very much and will not waste or take advantage of. It's something that he requires to stay happy, and he's running out of that fuel to feel important. Giving him some of affection would definitely mean he'd owe something to you.
(I begin to realize my sentences are rather long, but I'm not going to delete my effort in creating this, so I'll shorten this up for you a bit after Motivation, just to save you time. ┏(^0^)┛┗(^0^) ┓)
Strengths
Happiness: Staying in a positive attitude was quite easy for Cal, and made him seem different, which makes him even happier. Sometimes, you just need an emotional encouragement to keep yourself going.
Loyalty: Abandoning his friends is not something he likes to do, neither does he himself like to be abandoned or betrayed. Keeping himself fixed on the job at hand (sorta) and willing to stay by a ponies' side for as long as he can, he's quite the use if you have no one left to help.
Weaknesses/Flaws
Cowardliness: Courage is not a trait he inherits from his father or mother, he's rather quite a skittish dude, and that can lead to NOT getting the job done right.
Nervousness: Almost alike of being a coward, but having different side-effects. People have doubts that he is a strong and worthy stallion to follow as a leader, or just a helpful person in general.
Confusion: Most people would react harshly to the hiss of a changeling, or maybe a sinister laugh that follows behind them. Instead, Calvin would jump right in and greet oneself with a big smile, and maybe a cute giggle. That will definitely end well, won't it?
Fears
Loneliness: It's a clear sign with his personality, he's a social butterfly, and energetic being. Being alone without a friend to hug or a mare to nuzzle is something he constantly thinks about.
Overall Persona:
A cute, lovable and huggable stallion. No awkwardness involved in affection with him (unless you've never seen the adorable guy). If you were to be his neighbor, you're in for a ride. He will be annoying most times (unless you've got the same energy as him.) He tries to help, and ends up failing miserably. Traveling with the mane-six won't be so fun for him, knowing that he won't be helpful. Another thing, actually, he hates feeling useless. And useless he might be when it comes to helping or saving a pony, to be frank.
Cal loves to stay in small areas, specifically tiny towns with familiar faces. He'd visit the coffee shop every morning to just say hello to somepony, or even share a few dollars to the poor. It's very easy to get to know him, even if you see his face only a few times a day. As he takes role as a waiter in a fancy restaurant, everyone sighs as their stomachs grumble for the need for food. He doesn't do bad at his job, it's just the way he's so friendly and open. (This is getting too obvious, even I'm being annoying for clearing this out all the time.)
When it comes to being an enemy towards Cal, it's much more annoying when you realize it. He'd ignore the obvious sneers on your face, or behavior you'd give him. It's not that he's dumb, he's just unaccepting and determined. He'd be willing to hang out with you, and maybe ask you a few questions. (when I mean a few, I mean a lot. And they're all gonna be obvious.)
History/Background
(PREPARE FOR LOTS OF TEXT (•⊙ω⊙•).)
Calvin Bloom, the single child bore of Silver and Sky, had never had access to social life anywhere, he had lived in the countryside where his parents lived in a plain field of wheat and barley. He lived around the barn, helping pile up haystacks and pulling weeds. Though, he had not complained about how he hated doing messy jobs, and was ordinarily a very clean colt, once his parents had noticed his dissatisfaction, they took action. The family set on the trail to find a very big population of ponies, they were all excited and stress-free, (as their mother was a silversmith and had been earning good money, and their father was a Pegasus racer, not participating with the Wonder Bolts, of course.) their decision for living in the countryside to raise a kid in a quiet area was not required for sweet Calvin. As the family explored the streets of Manehattan, Cloudsdale, and the Crystal Empire, they found one in particular that suited them most, Canterlot. As Calvin grew up to be in his official teenage years, he began to cause trouble around in the city. From the causes of turning serious problems in fair relationships, his reputation increased as the Saint of Canterlot. He earned a job being a waiter, cleaning up tables, being a friendly stallion to start up conversations with his customers even when he wasn't supposed to, his life went well. He finally realized something: He was alone. The stallion felt like he was not special to anybody, just a friendly guy to pull a smile out of you as he walked by, not being seen as a special some-pony. He felt unimportant, unneeded, and very much lonely. Whenever he enter his house, he frowns, and wishes for someone to be at his side to smile at him.
