Pixel Note liked music, but she really disliked those corny musicals. There was a musical play coming up, and Pixel didn't want anything to do with it. But her mother, or rather, her caretaker, Stereo Night, was itching her to participate. The play was just a random event and didn't have anything big in particular, it was only for the opportunity for ponies to gather, work together, and for discovering some inner skills. And Stereo wanted Pixel to do all that. So Pixel ended up signing up for the play.
Pixel rehearsed all day. Every day. Until the end of the week. Pix didn't really want to participate, but she wanted to get at least a good and useful character. The next day was the rehearsal, so Pixel went to bed earlier than she usually would.
But of course, she was late the next day. The rehearsal was at 7:00 AM, and Pixel didn't even wake up yet. Her caretaker woke Pixel up right at 7:15, when she noticed that Pixel hasn't left the house yet. Pixel sprang up and got ready as fast as she could and flew to the Town Square right afterwards.
Pixel looked around. "How in Equestria did I forget where that theater is!?" She thought to herself, pacing around. "Oh, there it is." Pix said out loud as she stopped trotting. She hastily ran up to the wooden red door and knocked on it. "H-hello!?"
Seconds later, the door swung open and it was thankfully not the director. The stallion let Pixel in without saying a word, much to her relief. Pixel quickly ran inside the theater that had a bunch of ponies wanting to audition. She quietly trotted in and sat next to some other ponies without a single sound. Note looked around, and she was surrounded by all kinds of ponies who also wanted to act. There were so many of them, from foals who were new to acting to very talented ponies.
Pixel asked the filly in front of her, and it seemed like she didn't hear the director shout out the name Pixel Note yet, so Note was all clear. Thinking that it would be a waste if she was here without anyone to talk to, Pixel cleared her throat and tried to start a conversation with the pony next to her. "Hey, which role are you aiming to get?"
