Overall Persona: A protective son over his mother but his pain blinds him to the pain he causes what he cares for. As such he had taken to trying to remove any source of pain and suffering both his mother and himself might experience. Which inevitably lead to a clash with his own sister though in his pain clouded state caused him to lash out and attack her. His defensiveness was the major cause of the fighting between sister and brother though his mind was marred in a fog like state which kept him from seeing whom or what he was attacking. Currently he slumbers, his mind finally freed from the grasp of the pain that gripped him for so long and maybe he will have a real chance at seeing what has been created in his absence. It will take some time for his body to awaken and the chains to be shattered to allow himself freedom from the prison that is Atlantis which continues its work high above him even if the ponies that once called it home are no more.
History/Background: It began as most stories involving such a titanic creature is to be expected to start. With a mighty flash, only this was not from some weapon. This was from the planet itself. In the beginning, Equis was a raging ball of ash and poison clogged air. Volcanoes belched mighty plums into the sky and the planet seemed destined to forever be shrouded in a miasma of choking gases till. Though there was one event that changed all of this, and that being the rise of the planet's own conscious. For her first moments of life, she was wracked with endless suffering from the chaotic nature of her surface as the plant formed and rebelled against any attempt to properly contain the destruction that was reaped upon herself. For what might have been millions of years she pushed and thrashed against the elements that worked to shape her, the planet locked in a seemingly endless conflict with her very creation till it gave rise to two entities. She herself putting forth as much power as she could muster to try and heal her damaged surface to breath life into the First, the original. The Alicorn of Life: Faust, to whom she implanted all the knowledge she had gained in her endless struggle with the pain and the raw power that crafted her existence. Equis as she was called tasked her with one objective, bring peace to her war ravaged body and allow her to finally cool.
This would ultimately lead to the second creation that was a mixture of both the energies that Equis was releasing and the very chaotic nature that made her birth and existence possible. A being arose from the ground and the mire, magma flowing from his scale covered body and as he rose into the sky he shattered any pre-conceived notion by Faust that her task was going to be simple in any way. From creation the rise of a new creature gave rise to the life of a Destroyer to counteract and act as a balance between Life and Destruction. Unlike Faust this creature held no name, its mind was clouded by the pain its mother and father had reaped upon themselves as well as its endless thirst to destroy all that stood around it to vent the pain it felt. Even as Faust worked to calm and ease the world into a peaceful existence, her sibling merely watched on with confusion, confusion turning to anger, anger turned to fighting. The two clashed over a small pond which Faust had discovered to house the first signs of life. Her brother wanted nothing more then to live in solitude and be freed from the pain that was his existence and in his pain shrouded mind he knew that any form of addition life would bring ruin to that dream and so he set himself upon his own sister. Sadly his might was outmatched with cunning and his own hesitation. Four hundred years of near endless fighting would have resulted in the creation of such locations as Canterlot Mountain. But with one final blow, Faust cast her brother back into the sea. The scaled Leviathan sinking beneath the waves before Faust crafted what would become the Proto-type to Tartarus and sealed him within it. Later to erect the oceanic city of Atlantis to study her brother and fell to corruption and was forced to be purged by her descendent, Celestia.
As the wounds began to take their toll upon Faust she was forced to resign herself to a location beneath the ground so that she may keep her brother from ever truly awakening and to try and sooth his pain stricken existence. With her last death cries she slowly transformed, her wings erupting into mighty limbs as an element that made the Alicorn took form upon the slowly blossoming Tree of Harmony. With her death Faust began to sooth the world and the battle seemingly had stripped the elements of their powers so as to allow Equis and her daughter to work in tandem to properly heal from millions of years of damage. Yet the battle gave rise to new creatures, the dragons being born of the Leviathan's rage and Faust's Want. Beings like Discord created from the very stuff of Chaos. Ponies given rise from the Leviathan's tenacity to survive and Faust's own Harmony which was split among the races. The time is ten thousand years ahead of such an event and the world is ripe for a new theater of war for which none will be prepared for. Yet as hooves by the millions march across the long forgotten land of Vanquis and the machinations of Atlantis work to extend their control, all but one has forgotten about what lies below the ocean's deaths. Chains beginning to slacken as a Sister wishes to see her brother once more, a brother who's mind has spent ten thousand years in slumber and peace, and a being that wishes to ascend to that of a God. So many new fronts open as Equestria tries to stem the tide of their enemies while allies work to reach them as well. This is a world beset upon all sides by the tides of war and yet, salvation may just come in the most unexpected of places. For a King with no subjects is nothing.
