-Personality Stuff-

split personality: personality is a confusing thing for afterglow it usually is when you have two ponies bouncing around in their. There is him and himself the primary personality being Afterglow his alternate ego goes by a dozen different aliases but most common of which is Nightlight.

Likes: both afterglow and nightlight enjoy techno music a quality inherited most likely from thar father Bassboost. And while nightlight loves to dance and have a wild time afterglow likes the idea of such things but lacks the self-confidence to do them while with other ponies, and neither of them like anything more than to dazzle other ponies with amazing light shows and feats of optical magic.

Dislikes: both nightlight and afterglow dislike nothing more that knowing that another pony is having a bad time. 

Motivation: afterglow's main motivation in life right now is to travel equestria and learn how to make friends, build the self-confidence, and gain the courage needed to return to Canterlot school for gifted unicorns and graduate.

Strengths: if you ask afterglow what his biggest strengths are his ears will go down he will put his hair in his face back up slowly while murmuring " I have no real talents" but if you ask me I'd say that his biggest strength is how sensitive he is to the moods of the ponies around him and how much he cares on the inside I mean besides the fact that he is extraordinarily gifted in the arts of optical magic thanks to his mother Light Bright but thats another story.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Afterglow and Nightlights biggest flaw is the inability to control when the personalities swap leading to particularly awkward situations aside from that there is afterglows lack of self-confidence that leads to perpetual shyness that gets in the way of him making friends, And there's nightlights constant erratic behavior that usually creates trouble for Afterglow later.

Fears: he's afraid of meeting new people but also afraid that he'll never make friends he also carries the constant fear that nightlight will pop out at the worst moments. 
( magic eighth grades final exam would be an excellent example of one such situation)

- he's always spewing laughter love and smiles and can completely neglect to pay attention to the negative aspects of his current situation

- a party pony to the point Pinkie pie would ponder her levels of her party participation

Overall: Afterglow is a unicorn born and raised in Phillydelphia but at a very young age was sent off to Canterlot school for gifted unicorns. His mother being a unicorn gifted in the arts of optic magic* and him already showing signs of her raw talent it only made sense for him to start at a young age. But when he got to magic kindergarten all the other little ponies made fun of him for his pointy toothed smile and the light shows he put on he quickly grew quiet and self-conscious of every aspect of himself and that is when nightlight was born. one day he started smiling in the middle of a particularly boring class and then he start laughing and then he did his best to put on a show. this continued happening at the most uncalled for moments usually landing Afterglow in detention. Until he had to do his final performance to graduate from Canterlots school for gifted unicorns he was the ninth in line two appear before the judges he walked onto the observation platform legs shaking. he had practiced this routine without failure hundreds of times and he knew he could do it but that constant what if, what if, what if, echoed in his head. when the judges rang the bell signaling for him to start he had already fled the room in panic before the echoes of the ring left the room. he now travels Equestria looking for the confidence he so needs in order to graduate.

Well... the split personality thing can be acceptable if Played well. I don't see any issues with the application.

i overplayed the split personality thing its more that afterglow has all these mental blocks that keep him from being who he really wants to be FYI Nightlight and occasionally he well drop these blocks and anxieties and let his reals self show ill try to make that more evident in the bio
