Likes: pulling pranks, learning more about magic, spending time with her brother. And chocolate.
Dislikes: not succeeding at scaring someone, people making fun or feeling pity for her being an orphan, seeing her brother in pain.
Fears: Mira's biggest fears are somehow losing her magic, and thus what makes her special. She also is terrified to lose Gearshift, after losing her family, she doesn't want to lose him. Gryphons have almost killed her before, so she has a phobia of them.
Motivation: master illusion magic and make Gearshift proud.
Strengths: cunning, intelligence, quite quick. Can create very realistic illusions
Weakness: will not stand people talking bad about her or her brother. She is somewhat short tempered and shares gearshifts pride for her creations.
Background: when Fantastic Mirage was a small foal, she came home from a friend's home one day, she found her family was gone, vanished into midair. Without family she lived on the streets of Canterlot, stealing what she could to survive. One day, she was passing by a alley and saw a dark gray unicorn being ambushed by a gang of gryphons. She couldn't stand to see another pony get hurt by these creatures, and her anger activated her innate magic. Fantastic images of monsters appeared scaring off the gang. Later that same day, the gang went after her, but she was saved by the very unicorn she had saved. When the fight was done, he introduced himself as Gearshift, and thanked her for helping him. He asked about her family, and she burst into tears. Gearshift was shocked by her past, and swore that she wouldn't be alone any longer. He essentially adopted her as his little sister, and got her into the magical academy, to help her get the most out of her illusion magic potential he had seen the first time when she had saved him. She studies still, working on mastering it.
Personality: she loves to play practical pranks, and always try to get the drop on her brother. She will fight ponies if they insult her or Gearshift. Even though they have no blood relation, she loves him like a brother, and he loves her back. If you try to scare or threaten her, she will use illusions to turn into the scariest thing she knows, a grown dragon. She will also summon other images of monsters too. If you hurt her brother, she will try and destroy you. She knows the pain the past causes him, and knows she cannot help. But she looks for the one, to help mend the pain in his heart. If you hurt either one of them, you will not only deal with the one, but the other as well. They have lost family once, never again.
