-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
-Nee-nee really enjoys sweets, you could say she has a sweet-tooth, she always carries candies around… she’ll never share them unless she has a good reason to.
-She likes to read; any kind of book is okay as long as they make sense.
-Surprisingly, Nee-nee likes to explore unknown places despite her missing limb. She can keep up and will get angry if you underestimate her.
-Any chance of peace is welcome.
-She really likes to win; she’s a sore loser by nature.
Dislikes:
-Salty and bitter foods, she prefers sweets, obviously.
-Nee-nee would rather avoid any kind of ruckus, including parties, social gatherings and fights.
-Being underestimated, she really hates that.
-When ponies point out her prosthetic limb she gets utterly annoyed.
-Nee-nee is a sore loser by nature, she’ll always try her hardest to win but if she looses she might get a little sour.
Motivation: Nee-nee’s main motivation is saving lives in peril situations, she studied to be a paramedic for that reason. She hates being useless, especially in situations that bring out her field of work. She thinks that if paramedics did a good job nobody should live with permanent injuries like her, you could say doesn’t want anyone to go through what she has gone through.
Strengths: Nee-nee can keep a cool head in dire situations, all it takes is a deep breath to keep everything in control, this is really convenient in her line of work. Also, because of her love of literature she’s very knowledgeable in different things, she always has a curious fact up her sleeve or a piece of information that may come in handy. Her strong-will and resolve are almost unbreakable, every time she makes up her mind about something it is pretty hard to change it.
Weaknesses/Flaws: The fact that she can’t accept defeat is perhaps one of her biggest flaws, her pride is easily hurt and this always ends in recklessness, she can’t say no to a challenge and will never back down, even if it is dangerous. She’s very, how to say it, sensitive about her accident, one wrong comment turns her mood completely hostile; almost automatically she gets sarcastic and defensive, even if the comment was well intended.
Fears: She’s very afraid of trains, she can’t stand them, this is one of the reasons she never travels. She actually thinks its ridiculous the only way to reach different places are trains.
Overall Persona:
You must never confuse Nee-nee’s usual quiet demeanor with shyness, this Pegasus is not afraid of other ponies she just thinks that wasting precious words on small talk is pointless. Because of this at first glance she may come off as cold, but all you need is to warm her up a little to make her a little more talkative. She is a very good listener, the kind of pony that gives rational advice to those who seek it. It is very hard to earn her friendship but once somepony does she’ll be loyal to them and will treasure their opinions, thoughts and their overall persona. Nee-nee is very open-minded, she’ll view and accept all the aspects of a problem or subject and will not judge anyone unfairly, you could say she likes to see both sides of the coin, there’s no blacks and whites in her world, only different tones of gray.
She’s a little sensitive about her accident, when mentioned she gets defensive and sarcastic, one little misplace comment may cost you her trust. In a way she always mistrusts ponies out of fear that they’re only talking to her out of pity. If you gain enough of her trust she may let this comments slip and may even say ‘sorry’ if she gets moody, she has a hard time talking about the accident and will get equally defensive if asked.
Nee-nee has an open dislike for ruckus and social gatherings, she gets very tired when confronted by this kind of situations and would rather avoid them. She usually refuses with a flat ‘no’ and will get ticked off if insisted. It is actually very hard to convince her of various things, she has very clear ideals and changing her opinion about a subject is quite hard, even if she understands and accepts other points of view she will remain firm to what she believes is right.
Background:
Nee-nee was born and raised in Cloudsdale, daughter of two rainbow factory workers she had an overall happy foalhood. She was always a quiet individual who preferred the company of a book rather than another pony, this never bothered her parents, they always claimed she was their special filly.
-This is hard to explain…-
When her little brother, Raven Cloud, was born all the family felt delighted, especially Honey who saw a potential friend. As predicted both Honey Feather and Raven Cloud turned into very close siblings, all of this because they spent a lot of time home alone or in the factory foal ward. Even when they entered school and made different friends their bond never shattered or nudged.
Both siblings spent a lot of time in the factory, Raven Cloud was usually the one that made up games to pass the time. One very special day, when Nee-nee was a young teen, Raven Cloud came up with a very interesting game. The point of the game was to see who could fly faster and who was the swiftest, they were going to fly through the rainbow factory machinery, through the restricted are were no one could bother them. The first one to reach the goal would win. Simple, right?
They shared their laughs but it all turned ugly when they reached the heavy machinery room. Raven Cloud tried to demonstrate a daring antic, sadly it failed and soon the dark manned colt was falling to his death. In a desperate attempt to save him Honey Feather caught him just before he hit the gear wheels, the weight of her brother was too much for her and even though she managed to save him from injury her left leg got caught in the gears. The workers heard the screams and were soon there to rescue her.
Nee-nee woke up on the hospital, dizzy and disoriented with a crying mother and distressed father by her side. They explained to her what happened, how her leg got caught in the gear, how the workers stopped the machinery, how the paramedics rushed her to the hospital and how worried they were. It took them all their strength to tell her the last bit of news, the doctors were unable to completely save her leg, she would have to depend on a prosthetic help, and her wing took some permanent damage too. This destroyed her.
-With some rehabilitation I’m sure you’ll be able to fly again, we’ll get you prosthetic help too, don’t worry…-
After some years in rehab she was able to get accustomed to the device in her limb and was able to fly again, with some restrictions naturally. She studied to be a paramedic and was assigned to Ponyville, she accepted out of fear of the rainbow factory and in an attempt to get away from her family who only seemed to feel sorry for her.
