-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Canterlot Residential Area
Job: Trance and Dance DJ
Older brother: Baritone Shores
Younger brother: Ruby Shores
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Clubs, bright lights, shiny happy ponies laughing, dancing, creating beats, flowers, chocolate, Dancing to beats and of course, scratching' all night long!
Dislikes: Headaches, party poopers, quiet nights or clubs, being sick, artist block! and somehow blue flowers.
Motivation: Midi lives her life one day at a time. Doing all she can to achieve her ultimate goal. To be the best Trance DJ in the land. Yet she also finds comfort in knowing that at least a few ponies enjoy her music.
Strengths: Her strong, resilient heart. Her amazing kindness towards others, as well as her generosity towards said strangers. Her talent to recognize a beat in just about anything she hears. A gust of wind, a certain way somepony speaks, or the flap of a butterfly's wings.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Her kindness and generosity, as other not so pure ponies will take advantage of that kindness. Her annoyance with blue flowers, as this will make her mad for absolutely no reason. Her irrational fear of the dark, seeing as she works in clubs a lot. And finally, her flirty behavior which can get her into trouble with the wrong mare.
Fears: The dark (for some strange reason), losing the muse for Trance, losing the feel for a beat, not smiling for a whole day. A whole day! Can you imagine?! Pancakes, horrid things.
Overall Persona: Silver is a pony whom you could count on, were it not for the fact that she turns every piece of emotion into Trance. You can tell her something, but you can guarantee that a few hundred ponies will be dancing to your emotions later on. Silver will always try to help a fellow pony, no matter what it'll cost her or what she has to do. She is also a very happy pony on the outside, innocent to the core. On the inside however, she's hurting. But why bother other ponies with her own personal demons right?
The history of Shores', Midi's story:
Sapphire Shores' concert. It was a priceless experience back then, as two little ponies. And yet, being torn from your own brother isn't an experience that you want to have. Ruby got taken to the VIP section of the dancefloor, nice and private. Midi however, had to be left behind. Ruby was so excited about seeing Sapphire that he'd all but forgotten about poor Midi. His little sister got inside and just simply bobbed her head a little bit to the music. Sure it was nice, but nothing could cheer her up after that moment.
And yet, after Ruby was done with his whole-song and dance number, something managed to cheer her up. There was an after-party to go still, which meant there would be a DJ. The DJ in question, was no other than DJ Bronze himself! He was already spinning away to some simple Trance music, getting the party-goers in the mood to really blow the roof off later. He'd seen little MIDI in the crowd, being all sad on her own in a corner. Waiting for that grey pony on stage just now he presumed. It was time to cheer the little thing up.
Midi was already enveloped in the brown aura of DJ Bronze before she knew it. She was dragged straight to the front of the DJ table, the closest you could get without actually touching the DJ himself. He was already building the song up and Midi was listening. However, she wasn't enjoying it just yet. DJ Bronze frowned a little, then let the burst come. One loud explosion of sound at once.
Midi wasn't sure if her ears'd be blown off or she'd be dancing. Once the explosion was over, Midi found that she was enjoying the music. More than she should be though, that was one skilled DJ. He had put the music on an automatic looping system, then grabbed Midi again and put her in front of the DJ equipment. Though everything was being done FOR Midi, it still felt very special. Very very special really. Bronze looked upon Midi and his eyes widened considerably.
Midi was moving with, amazing precision. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, even though the equipment did nothing right now. Or... or did it? Wait a moment. Bronze listened carefully, to the song playing now. It was some kind of clock sound before the song itself started. But, that wasn't in his list of music! He looked towards Midi again, only to see that she had all but commandeered the location. Bronze would be mad, were it not that this little filly was putting together the most amazing mix he had ever heard come from a youngster. And he had taught a lot of ponies.
Midi couldn't stay too long of course, but at least she earned her cutie-mark before she went off-stage. The crescent moon, setting the night alight. That was one hay of a cutie mark! She had to go back home with Ruby for the night though, too bad. The music was something that Midi enjoyed a lot. She went off-stage without a word and let DJ Bronze take it back. But DJ Bronze wasn't done yet, as he let all the lights dim and put the spotlight onto Midi for just a moment.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts, meet DJ Silver!" The name, DJ Bronze thought. Was a stroke of genius. She was going to become bigger than he had ever done. Playing the after-party at a Sapphire Shores concert was as big as he was going to get. Midi looked upon the cheering crowd and smiled at Ruby. Ruby smiled back and made his way through the exit door. Midi saw that Ruby too had earned his cutie mark that night. She looked back towards DJ Bronze one more time, smiling whilst she did so. Tonight, was a good night.
