-General Stuff-
Name: Brise Doux (Pronounced "Bree Doo" & French for "Gentle Breeze")
Nickname/Alias(es): Brise ("Bree", coincidentally a homonym to the French cheese)
Race: Pegasus
Gender: Female
Age: Young mare (equivalent to 18-24)
Additional Status: She has a pet meadowlark named Geneviève who accompanies her at nearly all times. Although she is not particularly famous, her family's business is, so sometimes she gets a tiny celebrity moment when that comes up in conversation.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: A very pale yellow.
Mane/Tail Color and Style: A light and slightly darker shade of sky blue. Both mane and tail are long and messy due to her frequent flying. There is a slight natural wave to the hair, especially on her tail.
Eye Color: Bright blue in hue, as opposed to the more humble shades of blue in her hair.
Cutie Mark: A silver fleur-de-lis with two elegant white wings protruding from the sides.
Other Scars/Markings: None.
Physique: Toned from frequent exercise but not overly athletic in build.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Los Pegasus
Job: Teaches French on weekday mornings and works with the local Weather Team in the afternoons. Spends any additional free time helping out at her family's pawn shop.
Mother: Belle Chanson, a lovely unicorn mare with an equally lovely voice. She made a living as a singer at a club in Los Pegasus.
Father: Star Pion, an earth pony and owner of the most successful pawn shop in Los Pegasus: Bonnes Affaires.
Sibling(s): Vendeur Fier, her older (earth pony) brother who works at Bonnes Affaires with their father and grandfather. Jolie Chanteuse, her younger (unicorn) sister who is currently trying to make her mark, and earn her cutie mark, in the music industry.
Other Family: Vieil Avare, her grandfather who is nothing if not obsessed with making money.
Closest Friends: N/a at this time.
Courting/Courted By: N/a at this time.
Mate: N/a at this time.
Foal(s): N/a at this time.
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Brise loves dessert crêpes with fruit, flying, singing, classical music, meeting ponies who speak French, the words "butter pat", animals, most flowers (especially roses), when she turns to the right page of her textbook on the first try, learning about history, down feather anything, snow.
Dislikes: She does not care for alarm clocks, tulips, sand, tripping or falling, mouth sounds (chewing, popping, loud kisses, etc.), hot weather, promises, sticky things, when ponies cheat her family's shop, when ponies cheat on exams, when ponies cheat in relationships.
Motivation: Brise wakes up every morning looking forward to flying and sharing/teaching the language she loves most.
Strengths: Welcoming, kind, understanding, patient, passionate, generous, humble, works well alone and with others.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Somewhat shy, her priorities tend to be out-of-order (i.e.- putting fun ahead of work or work ahead of family, etc.), overly-cautious/hesitant, neat freak, gullible.
Fears: Getting hurt (both physically and emotionally), making mistakes, being teased, earwigs, silverfish, mold, her hooves touching cotton, felt, or anything that feels scratchy or "blech".
Overall Persona:
Appearances are not deceiving when it comes to this pony. She is gentle as her name implies, but adventurous enough to earn the tangles in her mane. This well-roundedness can be traced back to her roots. Her mother, a very modest and sweet mare, taught her the importance of dreams, faith, and love. Her father and grandfather, honest salesmen, taught her the value of a dollar, to always work hard, chase after the things she wants, when to not take "no" for an answer, and when to quit while she's ahead. These life lessons stuck with Brise throughout her foulhood and now she teaches them to her fouls. Well, her students at least. She has yet to settle down with a special somepony.
On the subject of family, Brise is the only Pegasus pony in hers and therefore has always felt, on some level, different. Not one of them could share her passion for flying. In particular, she does not get along with her brother. This is mostly because he seems to care more about the money to be made at the pawn shop than anything else. However, Brise is very protective of her little sister. Growing up, her mentor was her mother's best friend, Beau Voleur, a Pegasus stallion who taught her everything she knows. They spent countless hours in her youth soaring over the desert outside Los Pegasus. During her many failures as she first learned how to fly Brise saw, and tasted, more than her fair share of sand dunes. Nevertheless, she treasured every minute of those days for they were over much too soon. In her teenage years, Beau was caught stealing from her father's shop. It broke their hearts, but especially her mother's. None of her family has heard from him since.
Ever since, Brise has tried to be careful about whom she trusts. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked and she has been duped on more than one occasion despite her upbringing and other personal experiences. Even so, she keeps a chin-up kind of attitude as much as she can, choosing to believe that everything happens for a reason even if we can't quite see it yet.
