-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Winter, snow, rain, wind, clouds, fire, dreams, telling/writing stories, reading, laughter, the night, sunsets, art, the sky, thinking, philosophy, history.
Dislikes: Narrow-mindedness, closed-in spaces, lying, bullies, ponies who can't take a joke, boredom, problems she can't fix right away, arguments, anger.
Motivation: She has a soaring imagination and that can lead her on quests that may or may not be real if she's bored. Boredom is a very bad thing for Nova for it can cause her to make up adventures to keep her out of it. Sometimes she can end up dragging other ponies into these fantasies as well, and sometimes they're more real than originally thought. For example, she could desire to find a rare gem located somewhere far away. The gem could be a legend she'd read about and could actually exist. The quest could start out as a game but quickly progress into a real expedition if she gets involved enough. A worse problem is when she makes something up that she has to find because this can get her and others into trouble if she becomes too involved in a quest for something that doesn't actually exist.
Strengths: Her imagination, creativity, she is very well-read, charismatic, out-going, a good talker, very persuasive, intelligent, open-minded, accepting, understanding, etc.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Her imaginatio can get out of hand and get her and others in trouble. She's terrified of closed-in spaces but she'd never admit it, she can end up putting herself in danger without agnowledging it properly. She doesn't like to admit when she's afraid and because of this may end up putting herself and others in unnessecary danger. She's a story-teller and sometimes treats life too much like a story. She forgets that there isn't always a good solution for every problem and sometimes you may have to turn back on adventures if they become too dangerous.
Fears: Clausterphobia (fear of closed-in spaces), and a deep-rooted fear of failing her friends and possibly losing those close to her.
Overall Persona: Nova is a very out-going, eccentric and charismatic pony. She loves adventure- on the written page or in real life- and can't resist a challenge. Her parents knew she was going to be a hoofful when she was just a foal. She would climb out of her crib at night and play make-believe with whatever happened to be around, eventually figuring out how to reach and open the door by pushing a chair up to it and climbing up. She'd play 'capture the dragon' all night long, using the family dog as the dragon.
In school she was just as creative and out-going, gathering lots of friends and playing make-believe at recess, lunch and sometmes the games would progress into class-time, much to her teachers' dismay.
When she got her first book published as a young teenager, she recieved very good praise and her creative writing career was launched. However, the young mare desired more than just stories. She wanted to live her adventures. And despite the peaceful setting of her hometown, Ponyville, she was determined to make that happen. She'd make up quests and games and anythig to keep herself out of boredom. Her friends would come along, of course, because of her out-going nature she is certainly a fun pony to be around. She just needs to learn when it is time to quit. Quitting is simply not in her nature and she always sees her adventures through to the end. But sometimes danger becomes apperent and she just can't bring herself to admit fear.
