Overall Persona: Gearbox is a kind pony who will do anything for somepony in need. He spends most of his time in his laboratory making new inventions for making lives in Equestria easier though unfortunately none of his experiments have turned out very successful. When he is not in the lab you can find Gearbox in the local cafe with his apprentice Notepad or watching Lightning Flickers preform his weather duties. Gearbox often goes into canterlot to see his favorite musician Octavia play in the orchestra. Although he very much believes in being the best pony one could be he is known for sometimes being a snob when he is concentrating hard on something.

Gearbox is a canterlot gentlecolt. He is incredibly brave, intelligent and athletic. He is always calm and is polite to everyone he meets. Harboring a great love for tea, and an even greater love for inventing, he is the ideal gentlecolt. He has strong logical skills, which come into play on a regular basis.
As well as being brave and heroic, Gearbox also has a soft side. Most of his adventures start out with him trying to help ponies.
although Gearbox doesn't like to openly admit it, he is a master at fencing and regularly uses those skills to defend himself and others.
