-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Naturally Huey likes to paint above all other art though he also enjoys baking and cooking saying it's also art. While he can be timid, he also enjoys mild exploring like a tour of a city or a walk in a safe forest. Being so artistic he also enjoys fashion though unlike most that call themselves fashionable he can appreciate a stylish pair of overalls as much as a well-made tuxedo. The stallion also adores his family, even his step-father is important to him and the other thing that can motivate him to do things he wouldn't normally. Huey does love winter wrap-up and it's probably the most labor outside of his family life anyone would see him do, eager to say goodbye to the cold weather.
Dislikes: Being so timid he hates anything like dragons and wolves though few can blame him for that. It doesn't help that he's not a very tough stallion making him cringe when he's asked to do heavy lifting, more knowing if he's made to he's just going to embarrass himself. Sure, his wings get the job done in flying but it's not like he's a heavy load. Being so artistic, Huey is sometimes joked at for being quite feminine and while he doesn't let it change him, it does annoy him to be picked at for having cook books and fashion magazines. While the stallion loves his family, he hates how sometimes his siblings seem to need him a bit too much especially when he's aware others might see him as being clingy and immature instead of them being the dependent ones. One some thing he doesn't like his being cold. It's whispered to have to do with his father but as Frost is rarely brought up these days out of respect for the family, all that one can say for sure if what Huey has the most of is winter additions of as many books and magazines as possible from trying to bundle up fashionably.
Motivation: The 'art of life'. To him the world is a giant work of art from the tiniest seed to the biggest cloud. Well, except things like wolves. But he will admit he slightly admires Discord's work as imaginative abstract and finds it tempting to try and capture it in a painting but fears the reactions.
Strengths: Almost anything that involves art (Except sowing and writing), minor first aid like scrapes and minor cuts (his sister is accident prone), has great textbook knowledge on anything he'd consider artistic like the Crystal Empire (Though he also proudly reads a few adventure books), knows (mostly) how to handle colts and fillies.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Lacks physical strength, very timid unless it involves his little sister, like you'd expect from someone so clever and artstic he can be quite scattered brained and may get carried away with either how lovely something is or his knowledge of it, on the other hand he may get so wrapped up in a painting that the only thing he'll notice is Gale crashing into something, he's also tried his hooves at sowing...it was just as bad as his attempt at poetry.
Fears: Losing his little sister, any animal that can harm him like wolves and dragons (though as noted before the fear of losing his sister is the one thing that can overpower this).
Overall Persona: Huey can be easily summed up as an art nerd. Art, mostly painting, is his passion and he's the kind of pony that wishes he could make everypony beautiful! He truly loved his job in Cloudsdale as one of the rainbow makers considering it a great way to make all of Equestia beautiful to the point he secretly hopes in moving in Ponyville that he can be in charge of spreading rainbows around the town. Outside of that, he's very much a family man and what most would consider quite fatherly to his siblings, especially his sister.
He considers himself their protector even with his mother remarrying and his family being in trouble is the only thing so far that has overpowered his nature to want to avoid trouble. Still, it does annoy him and he might complain a bit too loudly about how much between his bother wanted to go on adventures and his sister tending to crash land that he feels more like their father than their brother sometimes. Regardless the stallion loves his family and even risked the main job he loves so much to stick by them along with his grown brother. In his downtime, when he's not chasing his brother or patching up his sister, Huey can either be found painting or reading things such as fashion magazines or books about cities he considers works of art like the Crystal Empire. Nothing fancy like in Twilight's library, mind you, just standard knowledge reading. While he doesn't read many things considered fairy tales he does enjoy adventure stories as Huey believes they are more creative and that most fairy tales are too alike.
History/Background: Huey was born in Cloudsdale to two ordinary ponies, one that specialized in snow and the other in wind so they both expected their first son to enjoy winter storms. Though Tempest saw Huey smile for the first time at a rainbow and thought of a name for him based on how colorful it was. Nothing really special happened in his life except the lost of his father which happened the first winter after Gale was born and he insists he has no idea what happened to Frost. The only other big thing to happen to Huey was a year ago when his mother met an athletic stallion named Crimson Flash. Knowing his met his mother and little sister would have to move, him and his brother made plans to come with them to avoid separating the family. While it's more him and Gus living together, the rest of the family is right next door. He's still quite nervous about the change, even more so about his brother deciding the forest looks like a great place for an adventure, but trusts in what he was told about
Ponyville's kind nature.
