-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Papillon is one to have many likes, her favorite being social power. The mare adores to have an influential word in society and to perhaps have trends made after her. Being somewhat known throughout Canterlot, she is content, but being a greedy socialite, she's never satisfied and will always want more. She also enjoys to be around other socialites, often finding pleasure in watching drama go down between different social figures and perhaps even helping to spread false rumours to provoke them even more. Needless to say, Papillon loves drama. And finally one of the most important things to this mare, aesthetic. Be it jewelry, fashion, makeup or hairstyles, this mare adores to dress herself up. Papillon enjoys to be in the company of cleaner animals, such as cats or purebred dogs and would have adopted some if she were'nt constantly travelling.
Dislikes: As there are things Papillon fancies, there are even more she detests. The first being filth, muck or anything dirty. This mare worships her beauty, and therefor considers anything that could damage her appearance to be a menace. This goes for anything generally found on a farm, which she considers to be "Farm filth". Having been taught the values of a rich wealthpony, she considers farmers themselves to be under that title. Although she loves drama that enrols in front of her, she detests being faced with a challenge herself. Seeing any pony who dares to stand in her way as an obstacle she must destroy, and as a complete menace. By far one of the things she hates the most are ponies who either can't control themselves, or their foals. She despises any pony who can't keep their composure, nor those who can't silence their children in what she considers her mighty presence.
Motivation: Being a self dependent mare, Papillon only depends on herself for motivation, no pony else. The one thing she focuses on are her dreams of becoming the most famous socialite in Canterlot, and on being able to trample all who oppose her in this. This thought alone is enough to get her through the day.
Strengths: Papillon's main strength is her stubborn persona. Once her mind is set on something, that's the way it's going to be. No exceptions. This is one of her most powerful tools, which she exercises often. Despite being what appears to be a heartless socialite, Papillon does have a soft spot for young foals, which she adores, as long as their well behaved. Due to her thin frame, she has no physical strengths. Quick witted and cunning, Papillon works exceptionally well under pressure. She finds it exceedingly easy to execute a quick decision, and does so often. Papillon's final, and perhaps most important strength is her good memory, which she of course can't use like a machine, but does find herself catching little details that prove useful to her in the future.
Weaknesses/Flaws: As was one of her main strengths, is also one of her main weaknesses. Being a bull headed mare, Papillon decides what's right and that's it. The mare has the tendency to claim something, and then when proven wrong still stubbornly stick to it. This also adds to the fact that when wronged, Papillon will hold a grudge. And being bull headed, Papillon will remember until she has exacted what she considers a worthy dose of revenge.
Narcissistic and egotistical are the perfect adjectives to describe the uglier part of Papillon's personnality. She finds herself jaw dropping gorgeous, and superior to most of the ponies around her, and if told otherwise will begin spitting insults to the other pony. Having a large superiority complexe, Papillon will treat what she considers "Lower class ponies" the way she pleases, and will "Kiss up" to anyone who has a greater social status than her.
Fears: Papillon has two important fears, the first being the fear of losing her beauty. Being almost obsessed with her looks, Papillon is terrified of the fact that she will one day age and lose it. This is one of her worst fears, and she does often do irrational things to try and block it. Papillon's second largest fear is the fear of public embarrassment. Having been raised in the high society of Canterlot, the mare is petrified of losing her status and of being humiliated.
Overall Persona: Papillon has always had a very prudent character, which she uses to her advantage by always glancing over her shoulder to see if somepony's coming. The mare relishes the thought of always being one step ahead of a foe, which does tend to get to her head, causing her to often get anxious when she's alone. Being alone isn't something Papillon particularly enjoys, having been raised a social pony, she thrives on attention. If not given attention, she'll almost act like a foal and throw a tantrum, or in her case make passive agressive comments to anyone stealing the said attention from her.
Her superiority complexe is one of the biggest faults in her persona. The mare truly believes that she's superior to everyone but those in higher social classes, and believes that all farm ponies are "Farm swine". She therefor steers clear of the rural areas of Equestria while travelling. She really only submits to those of higher social statuses, and will often try to befriend them simply for their place in society.
Although she has a rather snobby, stuck up attitude, the mare does have some kindness in her heart. She simply adores foals, finding them interesting and fun to be around, as long as their in control of their actions. This goes the same way with animals, as long as they're purebred, clean and calm. The mare prefers not to open her heart to others, she instead prefers to exploit others for what they have, which she only rarely gets the chance to do.
Love is an odd concept around Papillon, who much prefers to take another pony's love for granted other than give it out. Which she has barely done in her life. The mare considers that love and Canterlot don't mix, and that her social life should come first.
History/Background: Born to rich wealthponies,Sunlit Seashore and Starry Stained, they had immediately decided on the elegant French name, Papillon, meaning butterfly. Which they thought would eccentuate the beauty of their new daughter. Her parents weren't necessarily distant, but they were generally preoccupied with work. Her mother as a socialite and her father as a saddle merchant, and she therefor wound up depending on the attention of the Canterlot ponies instead.
Papillon lived a quiet childhood, she went to a wealthy private school in Canterlot and made quite a few friends. The mare was the first in her class to get her Cutie Mark when her word began to become influential throughout her Elementary school, and it stayed that way until she finished her basic studies and began instead going to social events to advertise her name and gain popularity amongst the ponies of Canterlot.
