As her teammates began to deploy another plan, and each would be headed in their own direction, The Blizzard soon found herself on the outside looking in. The Performer was in first, which really was no surprise to her - it seemed they had this entire idea planned out from the get-go. Ghost was next - and it seemed like she was onto a different plan altogether, but clearly... those two were working together and then some. Hay, even Lightning went inside. Celestia knows what they were up to, she thought.

But through all of it, here she was, the only one that hadn't entered yet. With her confidence starting to plummet again, however, she figured that she could only have two options left. With her allies already inside, the first thing that crossed her mind was simply to remain outside, and ensure that there would be no further backup.

Or, of course - she could follow her allies inside, and join in the fray - but once more, her confidence got in the way - what if she'd be one too many ponies inside? What if she would cause alarm by simply placing a hoof in the door? Would she really help then? Or just ensure that she would doom her squad?

It was with those thoughts in mind that she sealed her own fate. The other three ponies could handle everything. She just had to make sure she didn't get in the way. Spreading her own wings and starting to fly once more, she began to scan the ground and skies around the base - the idea of a backup plan for Windigo was a possibility - and it was one that she wanted to destroy before it would have any chance of even getting started.

But was it the right call? Or was she dooming her own team by taking such an opportunity?

Lightning looked around to be careful not to take this pony out while others may be nearby. So far he didn't see any guards or mechanics around so he took his chance at the mechanic. Though he hoped that the pony would have been a guard instead. Being a mechanic would have to do. Quickly and quietly he knocked the pony unconscious with one swift hit to the back of the head. The pony fell limp and Lightning dragged him out of sight.

He couldn't risk the pony regaining consiousness while he was still on whatever mission he would come up with as he went along with whatever he ends up doing. Unfortunately Lightning couldn't find a way to guarantee the mechanic to stay unconscious. So he would have to leave him be.

Lightning but on the mechanic outfit over his his outfit and took off the mask and slipped it in one of the pockets. He hoped that he wouldn't be mistaken by his allies, but if they had seen Lightning before they would recognize because of his mane that kind of stands out because it has the colors of a warning sign. Lightning started wondering around, getting nervous around the others but his disguise seems to be doing the job. He didn't how ever know exactly what he was looking for or doing. Maybe an opportunity will show itself.

He looked around for his friends but didn't know if they were here or not but hopefully the went ahead and acted. He looked up and actually found windigo but seemed to be distracted by something. Lightning had to be cautious and as he looked around for something that might benefit the others, he took his time getting closer to windigo and whatever was going on up there.

The Blizzard takes to the skies, tasking herself with making sure any reinforcements don't make it to the skating rink to further hinder their progress, and keeping an eye out for any surprises Windigo may have had in store. Below, she could see The Performer attempting to distract Windigo from the goings-on below. Making a bit more noise than necessary, and drawing some more than nasty looks from his guards upon calling them 'Chuckles' and 'Hairspray', The Performer seems to have re-gained their attnetion. After he finished his speech, Windigo spoke up. "Villain? Do NOT mistake me for a common Villain. You have NO IDEA what i'm trying to accomplish, what you and your 'friends' keep trying to prevent. This world is full of greedy, ignorant, and apathetic ponies, especially in cities like this. Imagine a world where they are forced to care about each other, to help each other, just to survive, all united in a common cause. Granted it isn't ideal, but the nice ways have already been tried. Oh, and it's a river, by the way. What has a bottom at it's top?" Windigo says with a chuckle.

"Hey, old man. You should probably dispose of him" the unicorn colt says as he ends his spell. "The universe has your odds of victory dropping to 73.52%. Something is happening."

Down below, Lightning manages to take out one of the mechanics, and put on his uniform in an effort to blend in with the others. It seemed to be working so far, as they were all too busy trying to restart the primary generators to notice a new face. "Someone go up top and hit the switch! There doesn't seem to be a problem here, lets just try to restart them!" one of the engineers shouts.

Meanwhile, Ghost has sabotaged the cooling towers heating elements. Helping to ensure that even if the power remains on, the heat can't successfully reach the appropriate areas to prevent the tower itself from icing over, and diverting the heat to the Icy floor, causing it to melt. A two for one deal is always nice. Though the only way to completely ensure victory is to completely destroy the device, this was a good start.
Afterwards, she decides to locate the generators. She finds them, not far away. Several large generators on the left sitting silently with teams of mechanics and engineers scurrying about trying to restart them, and on the right, several smaller generators that seemed to be doing all they could do to keep power flowing through the facility. In the back of the area, there are large box shaped devices, covered in magical gems. Topaz apparently. These devices appear to be used for storing power, like batteries. Crude, but effective. Creeping out of a dark corner, is a familiar looking pony wearing the uniform of a mechanic.

"The answer is legs. You know not to state the obvious, but you're completely insane! I mean, that is completely and utterly wrong." Windigo's speech had baffled Clasp to some extent. He had been expecting a silly motive, like 'revenge for being wronged as a child', not something so understandable despite such a single minded solution. "That's not how I would see it turning out. In the world your describing, the greedy, ignorant and apathetic would survive much better than anypony exhibiting kindness. I mean, think about it, when sharing resources, the ones who care more for themselves would be better off. And even if the impossible happens and they all change where does that put you? When the newly reformed ponies come to you asking for their world back, what would you do? If you agree, everything goes back to how it was and if you refuse you become the apathetic pony that you did this all to get rid of."

He sighed. Perhaps he had bitten off more than he could chew, but there wasn't time to worry about that. The unicorn standing behind Windigo finished his spell and said something about 'the universe's odds'. "Okay, I'm not even going to start trying to understand that first part but you're right, your odds of success are decreasing and I'll tell you why. I am distracting you and you playing right into my hands. On the outside I'm being noisy and playing a silly game but on the inside I'm observing every tiny detail, strengths, weakness, abilities and strategies. Because I know that when I strike I will have only one chance, and I don't intent to waste it. Number boy was right, you should have disposed of me. But you've lost your chance because I'm ready for phase two. From a narcissistic point of view, why look at everyone else when you can see you?"

With that, he charged at Windigo, beginning to transform. A blinding light emanated from him, blocking the view of the guards. When it dissipated, two blue pelted earth ponies with blackened muzzles and deep blue manes could be seen standing a meter apart, eyes locked. One began to speak: "A mirror, how fitting Performer. It's a nice trick but it won't help you. Not to give you the COLD shoulder, but the game is over. Guards - seize him and get rid of him. It is time to move forward."

[Pandicorn]

Ash's eyes widen when she sees the crowd of Windigo's ponies in the room. Okay, you can do this Ash. You are the on and only, Ghost. This will be easy. So, what do heroes do in comic books in situations like this? Oh, yes! Diversion!

Ash crawls out of the room and into the hallway, still invisible, and switches a bunch of levers and presses another red button behind a glasss case, which she obviously broke. She sees the red lights flash in the hallway, but surprisingly not in any other. Before she can get back into the room, small little metal wheels on the ceiling start spewing water. Oh great. I turned on the fire alarm. These guys must be realy confident about their fire security and cold temperature in here to only have this part flashing and spewing like crazy. Ash shakes the water out of her mane and slips into a door, waiting for the goons and technicians to come out of the room.

A few seconds later, they come into the hallway and start searching the wall. Probably trying to turn them water machines off. Ash slips back into the room, and sees that a few of the ponies decided to stay behind. Okay, so I need to switch some lever or press a button on the opposite side of the generators to distact them. She walks over to the wall, and punches on of the levers, succesfully making it stuck in the on position. An emergency heating device is turned on, and the air becomes very heavy.

"Hey, what's going on? We didn't turn on the E.H.D! Hey guys, look over here!" One of the ponies calls, and they all crowd around the heating device, looking for what turned it on. Meanwhile, Ash walks over to the generators and turns them off, but nopony notices because the mergency batteries immediately turn on. Ash quickly walks over to the batteries, and looks how long they'll stay on. She grabs a few of the strange green batteries and throws them into a box, causing the timer to decrease to five minutes. Perfect, that should be enough time for me to get far away from this room.

As she walks out, she notices that one of the guards isn't fumbling around for the switch like the others. Hey, wait a minute... Black and yellow mane? Lightning! She quickly walks over to the pony, still invisilbe, just to make sure it really is him. "Hey, it's Ghost. The power will go off in four minutes. I'm staying invisible so I don't get caught." She whispers to him, and then hears some commotion outside.

Oh no! Windigo is capturing The Performer? I need to see what's going on! "Hey, Lightning, I'm going to see what's going on with Windigo and The Performer. I think something's wrong." She tells him, and starts walking down the hallway towards the platform.

[StormWind]

Lightning heard some alarms go off in the distance. He froze in place quickly looking around to see if he had been caught. To his relief they didn't find out and ran passed him toward the alarm. He felt he was in a risky situation anyways but not really sure why he had to disguise himself anyways. It seems like damage is being done anyways and to be honest he is rather the pony to take action, not whatever it is he is doing now. He continued to walk forward aimlessly trying to figure out what he would be more useful for. 

Lightning stopped again, he was pretty sure he heard somepony coming towards him but when he looked around no pony was there. Then out of nowhere he heard Ghost's voice. Nine minutes huh? Well it seems like he didn't need to do anything undercover. But then Ghost spoke again and Lightning thought for a second. I could always stay here and do...something or I could go and see what is going on with Windigo and the Performer. He quickly made up his mind, Alright lets see if The Performer needs any help. 

Lightning made his way down the hallway and tried to look busy when passing the mechanics and guards along the way. Once Lightning made it down to the platform he stopped only to see two of the same pony. Two Windigo's? No wait, one of them has to be The Performer. If whatever plan he is working on fails he looks like he could use some help with those goons standing there. though they don't look like the average goon.

The Blizzard's flight in the skies was the closest thing to peaceful that she had found since becoming this pony... the mistress of winter. For a moment, Spearmint seemed to relax a little as the team's plans slowly came together, and she recalled some of the Performer's words as she looked down to see a strange sight, at least, that's what she thought at first - two copies of Windigo? Clearly, her ally was amongst them. But she remembered those words...

They were a team. This wasn't about one pony out of four. The way they would win this is if everypony worked together... and she knew that this scouting mission was a critical one. Any additional backup could cause trouble - she just had to look at the Performer. They were already dealing with three ponies. Alarms being heard only pushed her to be that much more alert - something was about to happen - and Spearmint seemed to focus quite heavily as her thoughts started to clear. "Alright, Minty. You don't get three chances at this one - this is your one shot. You know how well winter's served you - now it's time for you to show what you can do. Finish the scouting mission... then we'll see what happens from there. Don't screw this up."

The rest of this mission wasn't going to depend on her - but she did need to get ready to perhaps dive in. Turning back towards the base, she could only wonder if there was going to be backup - or if one of her allies would need her assistance. Either way, she needed to be ready to interfere - and behind those icy blue eyes of hers - she was ready. All that needed to show itself was the right opportunity.

[Solana]

Hovering overhead, The Blizzard coundn't help but notice that Windigo's makeshift compound was already starting to descend into a state of turmoil. Mechanics and Engineers scurrying about to the sounds of alarms and buzzers, Fire suppression systems engaging in areas where no fire was present, and the sudden appearance of a second Windigo, which could only be the result of The Performer trying to spread further confusion.
But something else is happening. Outside of the facility, there is a crowd of ponies building up by the sealed main entrance. At first glance, they appear to be more of Windigo's soldiers. All wearing dark blue Parkas, but something was off. Their weapons didn't resemble anything like what his soldiers usually carried, and their rank insignias looked different. One of the ponies below shouted something and a team of six charged the door, slamming into it with all their might, but the door didn't budge.

Inside the facility, The pair of Windigo's draws a confused look from the Stallion, but the Pegasus Mare approaches the pair, looks from one to the other, and says, "Sir, I pass you three..."

"Go ahead, ICE shall let you have the first try." one of the Windigo's says with a smirk. "You seem to like mind games. give it a go."

Down below, Ghost has mad it her priority to give the mechanics as hard of a time as possible. It's amazing how much damage a pony can cause to a facility by flipping levers and pushing buttons at random. But at this point, Windigo's ponies have started to catch on that these are no accidents. "WE HAVE AN INTRUDER! SOUND THE ALARM!" one of them can be heard shouting. Suddenly, a siren can be heard echoing throughout the facility. Teams of soldier ponies start scrambling, desperate to find the pony responsible for these acts of sabotage. Deciding cause just a little bit more damage, Ghost starts pulling gems from the massive battery systems, in hopes of shutting the place down for good. It seems to be working, as a nearby terminal begins throwing up error messages, though it's impossible to determine exactly how much damage this has caused. Spotting Lightning nearby, recognizing him despite his disguise, she approached and informed him of what she has done to the batteries, and that she was going to check on The Performer.

After meeting up with Ghost, Lightning decides to check on The Performer as well. Blending in with the others as best he can, he makes his way to the central area, where up above, he spots the two Windigo's and his entourage.

"As do you..." This was one of the problems with duplicating someone, they know more about themselves than you do. Clearly this was a pre-organised code and he didn't have any idea how to crack it. "Um, let me think." He needed a new plan. Then he remembered the control room at the end of the platform that he had seen on arrival. If he could get to it he would have some control over the base, or at least some cover. Swiping at Windigo's leg as a distraction, he started running. The problem now was that Windigo's guards were in the way. Just as he was about to crash into them the rest of the team appeared and covered for him. He skidded to a halt at the end of the platform.

Clasp bolted inside the control room, slamming the door behind him. It was everything he had hoped for. Screens with readouts, buttons for an immeasurable number of functions and a microphone that looked as though it was connected to speakers all around the base. First he flicked a red flashing switch with 'alarm' written on it and the loud squealing noise that had been going on for some time stopped. A broad smile spread across his face and he started to speak into the microphone. "Remain calm and return to your stations. The intruder has been caught and detained." Clasp changed back to himself and adjusted the settings of the microphone so it was only outputting to a speaker outside the room so Windigo could hear.

"Well this is good. If I'm not mistaken, I now have control over the whole facility. So... what now... Ah, I know, let's have a chat. What gave you this idea of 'righteous justice and why are you three so dedicated to it?" Looking out a small window he could see them standing back and the earth pony preparing to charge at the door. "And stop right there. Now let me see... There it is! A self-destruct button - why do you always add those? Anyway, if you come anywhere near that door, I won't hesitate to press it. And that counts for you too, Numbers. I don't know how telekinetically skilled you are but try anything funny. Speaking of which, what does the universe say about my odds now?"

[Pandicorn]

She dashes by workers and finally reaches the platform. Hmm, let's see, one of them is acting quite nervous now... and he runs for the door! I'm guessing that's The Performer there. I should probably help out.

Ash runs onto the platform, making a very dramatic entrance as she turns off her invisibility right in front of the ponies and yelling, "Yoohoo! Right over here!" In their faces. Okay, maybe a bit too dramatic. It might become suspicious and they might figure out my plan, but maybe they won't. Ash jumps at the stallion and immediately turns invisible, so that it looks like the poor pony is being beat up by air itself. She kicks out with her hind legs right in his stomach, winding him and (if succesful) causing him to fly into the nearest wall. He lies dazed, struggling to get back up.

BShe runs over to the pegasus mare and swipes at her hooves, trying to knock her off balance. She then continues and kicks at the other hoof.This is getting exhausting, but it should help The Performer get to that buidling thing.

Seeing that this would be enough of a distraction, she creeps over to Windigo and kicks him as well. Then she tugs at the mane of the pegasus mare, as if to make them think that the other is doing it.  She creeps away and looks to the unicorn foal, surprised that he seems rather calm and relaxed while the heroes are invading Windigo's base. 

To cause even more confusion, Ash throws a a hoof-full of strange grey powder at the stallion, causing him to tense up and fall onto the floor, unable to move. Ash walks over to the pegasus mare and tugs at her tail, causing the mare to fall down on her hind legs. Who knew this could be so much fun? Ash silently chuckles to herself.

Lightning went down the hall towards the platform, which was annoying to him since he wanted to get there as soon as possible. Doing that however, would blow his cover and he wouldn't want the whole base heading to the platform. He carefully avoided the workers and a guard or two acting as 'normal' as a technician would. He tried his best anyway. Unfortunately Lightning bumped into one of the guards by tripping over something...he didn't quite see what he tripped over. 

The guard looked at him with suspicion and probably wondered what he was doing near the platform. Ah hay. You got to think of something Storm or you are probably going to get your cover blown right away. "Oh heyyy....I uh ended up tripping over something, probably wiring lying around again." Lightning sighs, "Anyway I got to go to the platform. You see Mr. Windigo needed me to go check on...the..." Lightning looked over the guards shoulder to see the platform down the rest of the hall. He noticed a big vault looking door. "Well you know, I don't really remember, I think it was some vault looking door? Anyways he wanted me to try and open the door..." 

Lightning looked up at the guard but couldn't tell what he was thinking since he kept a straight face the whole time making Lightning a bit nervous. He took a quick peek behind him to see that the other guard was looking this way. Are they going to buy it or not?

The Blizzard saw the crowd of ponies... and immediately scratched her head. More problems? Or... was this entirely different? She decided to stay in the skies for a time, looking fairly concerned... if this was actually backup for Windigo... the team would no doubt have a ton of trouble, and perhaps even make it impossible to win this battle. But the weapons were different, as were the rank insignias... there wasn't much time to think things through. The base was already in turmoil - time was running out in either way. It was now or never, she thought, and there was barely time to hesitate... but she would drift closer, trying to overhear what this new lot of ponies were trying to say. This would undoubtedly decide if they were friends or foes.

Of course, the idea of actual cover to listen never occurred to her, then again, there was a part of her that told her that she wouldn't need it. But this was a serious case of leaping before looking, and the Blizzard was leaving it up to fate to decide if the entire idea would backfire on her or not. If they would be allies, though, this could be the break the team needed to defeat Windigo...

Of course, if she was wrong, and these were Windigo's grunts... she shivered lightly. There was no way she'd get out of it - not with there being that many ponies against her - and with her team in Windigo's base, and by the sounds of it, doing a pretty good job in there, judging by the alarms.

House of Enchanted Comics:
Episode I-"Mutants and Maresterminds"

The Blizzard circled lower, to check out the crowd of ponies trying to force their way into the facility. While the uniforms and insignias were unfamiliar, there was one thing that could be noticed upon closer inspection; the badges pinned to the chest of their parkas unmistakably resembling those worn by ponies in the city's police department.

"QUICKLY!! WE MUST GET THOSE DOORS OPEN! IF WE CAN'T STOP HIM, EVERYPONY WILL FREEZE! IT'S DO OR DIE!" one of them shouts as the six who charged the door made another attempt to knock it open, while another dozen stood ready to charge as soon as it was open.

On his way to the platform, Lightning stumbles on some exposed cables, drawing the attention of one of the guards passing by. As the guard approached, he couldn't help but think this pony seemed familiar somehow, but couldn't quite put his hoof on how he knew him. As lightning tried to explain his way out of the situation, the guard was growing a little more suspicious, but was startled by the sound of shouts and a massive *BANG* coming from a large, barricaded door.
"Look, whatever, just go! I need to check this out."

Up on the platform, The Performer swipes at Windigo's hooves and makes a dash for the door to the control room. Immediately the Pegasus Mare leaps in his path!
"Not so fast! It's not going to be so eas-OOOFF!" She shouted, being cut off by a sharp pain in her side, brought on by the unseen Ghost.
Leaping over the staggered Pegasus, lightning narrowly dodged the Stallion, scrambled into the room and slammed the door behind him, all the while the Unicorn Colt was giggling slightly at the whole situation.

Once inside, The Performer began examining the controls and immediately locates the self destruct button, follow by a few taunts of his own.
At this, the Colt quit giggling.
"Funny? Well shape shifter, does this count as 'Funny"?" he says as his horn glows a sickly green, and a few taps and creaks can be heard from the door, and then silence. "Go ahead. Activate the destruct. I SHOULD warn you, however, that the door no longer opens." the colt says, turning his attention torwards Ghost. Though he takes no action, he seems to be 'watching' her, despite the fact that not only is she invisible, but he is blind.

"IDIOT!" Windigo shouts. "YOU HAVE GOT TO GET HIM OUT OF THERE!"

"Sorry, not in my job description." the colt responds.
