Spearmint looked around as she heard the disembodied voice, looking fairly confused at first, but before long... she grinned a little. In the latest issue of Mutants and Maresterminds, huh? This was like Cloudsdale's racing circuit all over again, she thought, she was one of the stars of the show back then, and now, with Lightning, the Performer and Ghost with her... oh, this was a team - but as she heard a familiar voice call out to her, she knew that this wouldn't be a typical journey... far from it, in fact.
Lightning nearly ran into her this time, and sure enough, the one behind the uniform was quite clear, as she grinned and replied. "So it really is you... hah! We got this for sure!"
But then, as Windigo appeared, Spearmint looked right back at the airship with a defiant glare. As much as the Performer mentioned that this took priority - and it did, no doubt about that in her mind, Spearmint's mindset was on a slightly different level... "There's only one pony around here that's meant to control winter here, buddy, and that's ME!" she thought, as she was about ready to start to fly again, taking on this "faker" one on one, before the Performer's voice cut in, and ended her sole focus of being the only one to take on this threat. She was in a team, after all...
Spearmint listened carefully to the plan, and smiled, replying. "Defending you guys from his wintry strikes? I'm the mistress of cold! This faker can't stop me! Lightning - he can't even hit you, I'm sure you'll be fine, but I can shield you ponies, no problem!" Well, somepony wasn't lacking in confidence at all... as Lightning chimed in with his idea, though, she stayed quiet, knowing that it wasn't always as easy as she thought it was for heroes... no, not even for her. There was always a problem or another... this wouldn't be a simple flight in the park.
Her confident grin faded somewhat as she listened to Ghost afterwards, as she nodded, pieces of a small puzzle starting to fit in her mind as she listened to their plan - but then came the part of what they would do once they would get there. Retreat wasn't an option she favored, but it was still something they had to plan for - and the shrug that she would then make showed just how much she had to contribute to that particular part of the plan. But she did have ideas for other part of the plan. She would speak up in a low voice shortly afterwards. "Ghost, I can defend myself from this one's strikes pretty well, I'd say, and I can give you ponies cover. If you can make the other two invisible - it should give you enough of an opportunity for one hay of a surprise attack. We can floor this guy without them even knowing what hit them! What do you think?"
Her confident grin started to show again. She liked her plan, but the question remained - did the others like that plan enough to go with it?
