"Yeah, but that wouldn't be nearly as fun" Slipstream said in response to Midnights suggestion on subtlety. For Slipstream, subtlety had a specific time and place, which didn't include an almost clear sky in the middle of the afternoon. She made a shrugging motion with her front hooves and smirked in the usual sarcastic manner she was known for. Midnight had still acknowledged how Slipstream accepted her apology, and flew in close to her. The pair of pegasi flew down and gently landed upon the ground, rejoining Morning Sun with smiles on their faces.
Midnight nuzzled up against Suns side and apologized for having gone up to apologize. "There's no need to do that" Sun started. "Any-pony you call friend would want you to be on good terms with each other. Going up and apologizing like that takes a lot of effort, especially when it involves Slipstream. It's like the old saying goes, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger'" he told her. He felt proud of his marefriend for going and apologizing just because of something she'd forgotten about. There was something about the way she did it that gave her a more mature look. He liked the idea of that for some reason he couldn't quite understand.
Slipstream trotted between the two of them and wrapped her wings over their shoulders. Sun didn't really mind the gesture considering how she acted. He wasn't certain of how Midnight would feel over this, but he knew that she would understand. Slipstream grinned ear to ear as she kept pace with the older ponies quite well. She looked around and saw a few ponies watching the trio and even a few whispering. "Guess we must look like quite the sight, huh?" Slipstream asked. Sun chuckled and said "We certainly do" in a content tone.
