Problems for Peridot [Dead]

The day was a magnificent day in the Crystal Empire. The sun was shining, and beaming upon the Crystal Ponies' cheery and upbeat faces. The clean town shimmered and sparkled as the suns rays were caught in the gemstones that stuck up from the ground and the crystal cottages that gleamed beautifully. Many different colored semi-transparent ponies whom coats sparkled as much as the kingdom were out enjoying the day or out at work, savoring and enjoying every single minute, seeing other delightful and good ponies visit their businesses, whilst regular ponies took in the beautiful morning, wishing they were part of the town. They almost felt like they had their own crystal coats with shimmering tails and glorious manes as the kingdom welcomed their smiling faces, and most of the citizens and visitors loved every single second of the wonderful cloudless day. Well, most ponies.

While everypony was thriving and appreciating the great day Celestia brought forth, Pearl Peridot was busy in her house, cooped up and busy at work, sowing and adding gemstones to her next 'big thing'; a wonderful dress with jewels added in all the right places. The fabric was pure Crystal Empire ewe wool, and when cleaned and prepared just right, it glimmered like the kingdom itself. This may have seemed like no fun, sitting inside and working hard on something without enjoying the shiny new day, but to Peridot, it was her bread and butter; more fun than anything that the world attempted to give her. One of her crystal pony friends was quite concerned about her, worried that she'll become a hermit, working in her shop without enjoying the beautiful sunny day that Princess Celestia attempted to prepare. Did she not appreciate Celestia and Luna's hard work, showing her beautiful days and lovely nights? It seemed that every perfect day outside, Peridot would stay inside, forcefully working on her jewelry and masterpieces? She may have been an adventurer, but not only was it 1,000 years ago, but after King Sombra's official defeat, she had spent three months straight not leaving her home.

"You need to stop working on your arts and enjoy this great day, Peridot." said her friend finally. "Huh? What was that, Clear Cut?" Peridot looked up from her latest creation, although not tired, looking quite untidy. "I said... you need to get out more. Today's a beautiful day, that Celestia worked so hard on, so you and other ponies could enjoy. You always push the day aside to work on your works, day and night, and rejecting Luna's beautiful night as well. Why can't you appreciate that and go outside? Not on any adventure, just around the Crystal Empire." Peridot put her hoof up to her mouth, and thought. "Hmm... I could use a vacation. That's settled, then!" Clear Cut smiled, but it vanished after Pearl Peridot's next words. "I'll go to the library!" Clear Cut hoofpalmed. "No, I mean actually outside. Enjoy the day, meet somepony new, and not get something just for your business or needs." Clear Cut then folded her forearms, upset with her friend denying not doing something that involved her art or jeweler business. "Well, I guess I could go out and meet somepony new..." Clear Cut's face brightened up. "Yeah, that's the spirit! Now come, it's time to go outside!" "But wait, I-" Peridot was pushed out of her room and then out of her house. She was outside at last, after 3 months. Peridot had to adjust her eyesight, due to her not being used to being outside for so long. "Make new friends.... I guess that couldn't be too hard." Peridot then walked away from her home, crossing the library and a few markets. It was time for her to meet somepony new.

Silversky trotted out of the train onto the platform. It was a wonderful day, warm and bright, and Silversky was anxious to get out into the city. As she stepped out of the station, she froze. What a beautiful place! The sun gleamed of everything- the buildings, the ponies- and the ponies by themselves where wonderful. They looked to be made of crystal. (of course, Silversky had heard of them, but she'd never thought the rumors were true!) They were all different colors, and each one was beautiful. All of them- every one- looked happy and upbeat. She looked around. She saw a library- she definitely go there- and a spa- she'd tried to go there, too. But first she wanted to see the palace. It glistened above the city like a crown. The construction was masterful. The crystal it was made of glistened in the light. Silversky wondered if she would see Princess Cadance. That would be very cool. As she trotted happily toward the glowing palace, a green pony trotted out from a crystal figurine shop. Silversky decided to stop there later for a souvenir. The green pony stood looking around. Silversky thought she could walk in front of the pony, but she was wrong. The pony moved in front of her, and she ran into the other pony's side. The pony was hard- very hard. As hard as crystal. "I'm very sorry!" Silversky apologized. Her head throbbed were she had hit the pony. She could feel a bruise forming. She tried to keep a tear from sliding down her cheek, but she couldn't manage it. She looked away. After all, she didn't want this new pony to feel bad.

Pastel trotted through the town, his head twisting this way and that, his mouth hanging open. He was in awe. So many beautiful things. Surrounding him was the Crystal Empire, a shining, shimmering, beautiful place filled with beautiful ponies. He didn't know how he was going to collect such things, but he would try! As he walked around, he stopped inside stores, looking at all the wonderful new things. He promised shop keepers to come back later once he had decided on what to buy, but their faces read that they didn't believe him. He stopped and stared at buildings, wishing that he could capture it somehow, that the sights would imprint in his memory for forever! He was so excited, he couldn't keep a little jump from his step. 

As he practically pranced from one thing to the next he didn't pay any attention as to where he was going, and noticed, that he was about to run into two mares. Stopping just in time, he himself fell back onto his haunches with a loud "Uhf!" And rubbed his backside with a hoof as he winced. At around the same time he noticed that the other two ponies had also just bumped into each other, and the thought made him giggle. "I guess its a clumsy sort of day today! Isn't it?"

((I am seriously procrastinastic. I know it's not a word, but with me it'll become a word, and I'm surprised it isn't the death of me.))

Thud! The filly slammed into the crystal mare's side, although not hurting, it did leave a mark. Peridot rubbed her side, and discovered this, as she looked down to see the filly and the colt paused in their place; one hurt, one aware of the crash he might have been involved in. "Oops, I'm sorry about that! Us crystal ponies are actually made of crystals, so it could be pretty hard on you if you hit one." The mare helped up the filly, and brushed her off. Clear Cut's words were etched into her head. "Enjoy the day, meet somepony new, and not get something just for your business or needs." Meet somepony new.... The mare had a thought in her head, and smiled a small smile. "I'm really sorry, and it should be I who should apologize... I mean, I didn't see where I was going. My name is Pearl Peridot, you two. What are yours?" She held out her crystalline hoof.

Silversky stood shakily and wobbled. She decided it would be rude to fall over again or hold her head, so she settled for taking the green pony's hoof, shaking it, and maybe using it for support, too. The pony's eyes were white and pearly, and full of concern. Her body was jade green, and her mane and tail were a lighter, brighter shade. She had them curled beautifully. Silversky was slightly jealous. She brushed her mane and tail, of course, but she could never get it to stay curled or perfectly straight- it was wavy and usually did its own thing. Silversky, realizing that she'd been holding the glistening crystal hoof far to long, let it go and started standing on her own two hooves again. "Hi, um... My name is... uh... Silversky." The bump on the head had done nothing for SIlversky's shynesss, just made her dizzy. She turned to the grey pony with the scarf. He had blue and green hair kept short. His eyes were blue and surrounded by freckles. Silversky wondered why he didn't have a cutie mark yet at his age, but didn't think it was polite to ask. "Who are you?"

Pastel grinned, still sitting on his haunches before standing up onto all four hooves again. He smiled once more and shook out his body, getting the dust off of him. "Silversky? That's a pretty name!" He looked up at the clouds and thought for a moment "But.. the sky isn't really silver... oh well!" He grinned at the crystal pony as well, "Pearl is a pretty name too! And your coat is sooooooo shiny!" He moved his face closer and farther away from her coat, watching it glisten in the sunlight. "I'm Pastel!!" He gave a little excited hop as he told them his name before noticing Silversky glance at his flank. With a flick of his tail he covered it from view and looked at the ground, suddenly self-conscious about his blank flank and wanting to go back home. He stepped back slightly, almost tripping over his hooves, and cursing himself mentally for drawing more attention to his lack of a cutie mark. His grin was plastered to his face as he prayed in his mind oh please, just don't ask about it! 

[Sun Riser]

An orange pony trotted towards the group, right before the reached them, she tripped. "Oof!" She exclaimed "Hello random ponies!" She then stood up, she was surprisingly tall. "Nice to see you today! How are you? I'm Sun Riser!" The jumble of words flowing out of her mouth like a river. She sat down, cocking her head the the side in question. A shining smile showing and practically brightening up Equestria. Even with great interest, her eyes could be seen to be darting from one thing to another.

Shining watched the other ponies at her Alchemy stand. She had just developed a crystal potion which temporarily turned a regular pony/pegasi/unicorn or even a alicorn, into a shining crystal pony. She also had specifically developed an everlasting potion for the princess. She also temporarily used a potion on herself. Shining silver was really shining

[Sun Riser]

Sun Riser, awhile having her head tipped, Sun Riser still managed to spot a magnificent shining grey crystal pony. "Whoa" Sun Riser exclaimed, still managing to keep her head tipped "Look at that crystal pony!"

Sun Riser righted her head then scampered towards the crystal pony. "This is so cool guys! Come over here" Sun Riser called back to the group. A giant smile on her face, as she looked at the confused group.

"G'day" Shining said to the bright orange pony. "What do you want. Do you want one of our finest crystal potions or one of our most valuable potion of ours. The Enhancing potion" Shining waited patiently for the pony to do buisness

[Sun Riser]

Sun Riser smiled, "What a warm welcome!" She browsed the selections, a shining potion was siting on the counter. "Are you a true crystal pony?" Sun Riser questioned "Or is that what this potion is for?" She pointed a hoof towards the potion. Sun Riser leaned forward, inspecting it with great interest.

Shining answerd "No I'm not a crystal potion. the potion thats what its for. I also have a potion for princess cadence."

Peridot felt as the filly put some weight on her hoof. The filly was probably a bit dizzy, and Peridot couldn't blame her; The coat of a Crystal Pony is as hard as rock. Peridot allowed the filly to hold on a bit and resumed. "Silversky is a beautiful name! You're quite the filly, too." Pastel then spoke to her, and she looked to him. "Well, thanks for the compliment, Pastel! Although... I do have one question for you. Why don't you..." Then, something interrupted her sentence.
"Oof!" "Oh, hello there! Are you... okay?" The pony shook it up, and stood up tall, grinning. She even acted like nothing happened! "Hello random ponies! Nice to see you today!How are you? I'm Sun Riser!" This shocked Peridot a bit. "Erm... You might want to slow down. I'm doing just fi--" Peridot was once again interrupted by Sun Riser. "Woah!" She pointed to a sparkling gray Crystal Mare. "Look at that Crystal Pony!" The orange mare shot over to the new mare. "Well, that was strange. Anyways, this is what I want to ask you. Why don't you..."

Silversky smiled at the other ponies. Pearl seemed like a nice pony, and so did pastel. She wanted to learn more about him. Why didn't he have a cutie mark? She wanted to ask, but sensed he was self conscious about it. Pearl hadn't seemed to have picked up on it. When she started to ask, Silversky shot warning daggers at her. When she still didn't notice, Silversky kicked her. Immediately she regretted it. Crystal ponies seriously needed to wear layers of padding or something! Before she could cry out, a bright colored Pegasus bounced over. She seemed way too hyper, especially for a shy little filly like Silversky. Before Silversky could reply to her or even hide behind pearl, the Pegasus bounced off to a nearby alchemy stand. Then pearl started to ask poor pastel again. Silversky almost kicked her, but stooped her hoof just in time. Instead she cleared her throat loudly, something she'd never be caught dead doing in a normal situation and spoke over pearl. "Uh... What brings you to the Crystal Empire?"
