Gearshift was completely and utterly dumbfounded. Not only had this mare taken it in stride, this dark secret that he kept in his heart's vault, but she was glad that he trusted her enough to speak of it with her. He didn't fully understand, did this mare not see him as the monster that he saw himself as? He wanted to ask, but she seemed so kind, so he didn't want to push his luck.
He took his mind off of it as the overseer was polite enough to let them into the engine room, and he immediately was struck by the size of the inner works of the ship. He focused again on the overseer and Arabesque, listening to the conversation that was happening.
"Yideershtaat? I have not heard of this place, but it sounds interesting." He grinned. "But then again, i tend to find trouble when i go places i know nothing about." He chuckled.
As they passed the giant power core, he stopped in his tracks and stared in awe at the giant gem that was stored with such power. He quickly brought out a small notebook that was hidden away in his cloak, and immediately started scribbling down a basic blueprint for such a creation, and a series of ideas to be used with such a device.
"With something like that, i could power whatever inventions i wanted....maybe including that idea i have...." Gearshift shoved aside the thought of an almost fully automated shop that he could control with levers and switches. He shook his head and looked around frantically, finally spotting the pair and running to catch up. He was catching his breath when the overseer directed a question to him.
"Hrm? Oh! My goggles, well, I'm not quite a mechanic, but i am classified as an inventor, but i suppose a mechanic would also go under my profession. I must say this is a lovely ship, such a marvel of a mix of magic and technology, and has given me quite the number of ideas."
"Wait, why did you ask if i am an engineer?" Gearshift cocked his head, curious.
