"Northwest from the large tree in this glade... I'm sure you'll find a trail if you walk long enough. As for how... I'm sure your friend has a vague idea of how to do that already hmmm..."
Shaynâ frowned, yeah she knew something, but there were few chances that what she have seen, except of the Dullieag and Arch-Druid's researches, was not something that they could use or of the jewel still exists. Suddenly her glance was putted on the room's entrance, when the Archmage heard noises, as incoming steps… or wings' flaps. Her clairvoyance was not activated but she thought to the Dragoness. And it was the case.
Ah, Miss Nightshade… sorry to have worried you; we were in a droll situation.
She then looked to the rings when the Wyvern took them and immediately understood what they were… or at least thought so. Because Shaynâ was not sure if it was like in her reality, or if it was different.
"Put this on Manger. She's coming with us..."
Oh… ?
Taking the ring with her mouth, the unicorn looked to Manger and removed the barrier… and immediately after stopped the flow's time around the cat, frozen her just enough to put the ring on her neck. From the room she was the only touched by the spell, and some seconds later the spell was dispelled.
All the spells removed, there where the normal mages collapsed exhausted, she just had a gasp followed by a sight of relieve. With her mental strength and her mana, she was able to maintain it four hours before starting to felt tiredness, but for now her lost mana started to restores itself.
B-before that we go… there is something that I want to…
She turned the head towards the furniture against the wall and started to walk.
… verify.
With her magic she opened the drawer and looked into… and see an kind of amulet, dusty and ancient… and graved with a mystical language, not Drudish runes, but ancient and that she know relatively good. The amulet putted on her hoof, she was immediately taken by visions, revealing to her a room inside when a kind of altar was putted, and she smiled. She recognized what it was, and maybe she now knew why the Druid settled here.
And finally the vision finished, letting the Archmage clearing her mind : She know where they have to go.
Dre- Mister Gaze… I has been witness of an event in this room some minutes ago : I have seen the last night between Dullieag and the Arch-Druid, and also some of their researches about the almagest. And the vision that I just had gave us another clue. Please follow me; I know where we can go.
The Archmage started to recited a formula and the three teammate, plus de familiar, vanished into a seal of light which teleported them in a room previously explored by the mare : the Arch-Druids' crypt.
As still when she left it, the room was lighted up by the magical torches which separated each coffins, each engraved in the same way with the skeletons explored and date and names written in Druidish. The was unable to read this languages but in the names they were "Caduceus, the Establisher", "First Arch-Druid Diviciacus, the Philosopher", "II - Amergin, the Teacher", "III - Cathbades, the Guide" , "IV - Gwenc'hlan, the Keeper"
"V - Tlachtga, the Legislateress", "VI - Ambrosius, the Conjuror ", "VII - Fatum, the Oracle" , "VIII - Caladrius, the Elder", "IX - Flamen, the Eremite", "X - Paracelsus, the Chronicler, "XI - Mogh Ruith, the Reformer and "XII - Iechyd Carreg, the Venerable", the last of the Arch-Druids.
Shaynâ didn't taken attention to the tombs and walked towards the bottom of the room, in when a kind of door was engraved and decorated… and as she expected the amulet's sharp matched with. But the question now was : What this door keeps ? Certainly not the Almagest, at least logically… the altar of her vision, maybe ? Nope, this was this, she was sure of it, sure that the purpose of Nameton's (The druids' village name) foundation.
A click resounded when the mare putted the amulet on the door, and this one opened, leading on a circular room with the altar of the center… Shaynâ smiled, her theory was validated. She walked towards the altar of stone and a kind of metal in when symbols were written down.
I knew it ! A Seer… this must be the reason why the druids settled here. So… they have existed in your reality too…
This altar was called a "seer" by archeologists in magic, although it real name was unknown. This is a magic artifact from a very very old civilization which existed many thousands of years ago, or at least one of the first civilizations to master magic and magic arts (someone said that they event created the magic arts). Some of these "altars" exist around the world and require a very powerful and great amount of mana to activate. If at this time these civilization have naturally the enough power to activate them, in Shaynâ's epoch less than 6 people are estimated be able to use it, and Shaynâ was one of them.
Mister Dream… this altar is a very ancient artifact from an unknown civilization. It use magic to work, a lot of magic power… but when activated it allows the user to localize what you want. And I-
When she putted a hoof on the altar she started to have visions… but this one gave to her a great ache in her head and levitated at a half-meter of the ground. She screamed of pain, but succeeded to see the scene : She saw the discovery of the artifact, the construction of the room, several Arch-Druids (or she thought it), from different time trying to activate the altar. Some succeeded, other not. And finally, advancing into the past, she saw the last Arch-Druid, the mare, entering into the room and trying again and again to activate and use the artifact, desperately.
She seemed to know how to activate and use it, but her magic strength was not enough and after that she gave a frustrated kick to the altar, the Arch-Druid sighted… and looked to the Archmage.
I can maybe not activate it… but I know that you can. I am sure of this…
After what she bowed the head and vanished with the end of the vision. Slowly she reached the ground whilst her ache faded away. Shaynâ gasped and looked to the altar, whispering.
Indeed, I can do it…
But before she turned back to Dream and resumed.
I can activate it... So, Mister Dream : I use it, or we follow the indications of Manger ?
