The skies were very cloudy over Manehattan one late afternoon, which provided the perfect cover for the draconic youth as she carried her passenger over the busy city to an nearby forest on the far outskirts of the city. Azure had been flying for what felt like hours but her kind was used to this kind of flight routines. Wyverns were a lot more adept at flying then other breeds of dragon and she took pride with this, along with the fact that her passenger wasn't that much smaller then her. She soon dived through the clouds and touched down at the entrance to the woods before she felt a weight lifted from her back. "We're here master." The cloaked pony turned towards her with his amber eyes gleaming from under the rim of his hat "You don't have to call me that Azure. I'd feel a lot better if you called me by name... Still... Thank you for your assistance." Azure smiled warmly before she turned her attention back to the woods 'I'm sorry... I don't deserve to call you by name after everything you've done for me.'
Dream Gaze was glad that he was at his destination but he was against the idea of Azure coming with him in the first place but after their reunion and the many times she insisted on never leaving his side... Well, he couldn't keep saying no... The Alchemist had a strange dream a few nights back that seemed more like lost memories. It showed him during his time with his grandfather as he told him about his own childhood... He even spoke of the more talented members of his family bloodline. By following a trail left to him in his grandfather's journal, he came to track down the formula book and various research notes of Caladrius, A healer and Alchemist that was trained by a druid here in these woods. Gathering his family knowledge would prepare him for his next encounter with an old foe and may even provide a cure for the runic snake tattoo that now covered the side of his neck.
However upon stepping into the woods Dream Gaze got a strange chill go down his spine and the very roots and vines that littered the place seemed to point in his direction, as if warning him not to go any further. On top of that he could feel some sort of resistance... like some unknown force was trying to push him away only to find he was currently out of range. "... this is a problem... I can't solve this problem if I can't see it. Hmm... I wonder if?" His horn glowed as he tried to retrieve a book from his bag... only to be stopped by Azure who placed a claw on his shoulder "Master, please! Don't use the Arks again. There must be another way we can solve this without forbidden spells affecting you."
As much as he didn't like it... Azure was right. His amber eyes glanced back into her orange ones before he looked toward Manehattan and said "Yeah... Get you cloak on Azure. We're going to see a friend of mine" With that said, the two cloaked figures made their way into the city as the rain began to fall around them.
