-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
Heavy Rap - This is Fox Glove's go-to music genre of choice. She likes to imagine herself as a rapper going up onto a stage to spit some 'sick rhymes'
Buttons - These are Fox Glove's favourite thing to collect. She never keeps two that are the same, to try to make each button feel unique.
Long Road Trips - Fox Glove loves to take long trips together with her family. When she was a filly she used to hate spending eternities on a cramped cart with all her relatives, but now she loves being able to chat and relax together with nothing too pressing to steal her attention during the duration of the ride.
Messy Rooms - Rooms that have been given a personal touch and feel like they've actually been lived in. Fox Glove feels this is the best way to know what a pony is really like.
Fish - Some ponies are cat loves, some are dog lovers. Fox Glove? She's a betta splendid kind'a pony.
Dislikes:
Cleaning - Specifically rooms. What's the point really? It's going to get messy again in no time, and the scramble to find things you might have misplaced always feels to rewarding in the end when you find them.
Rude or Bossy Patrons - Her business is a hobby that she enjoys--and it helps pay the bills. When customers start getting too demanding, rude, or pushy, she won't hesitate to kick them out. Her 'job' shouldn't turn into something she hates to deal with.
Details - Getting every last little detail correct is stressful and tiresome, Fox Glove would much prefer letting things just go. What happens happens, and what doesn't doesn't.
Motivation: Each day that Fox Glove faces she assures herself that she's one day closer to finally getting her cutie mark, or that today might finally be the day.
Strengths: Fox Glove is good at keeping her spirits high, she rarely feels discouraged or frustrated, and it's almost infectious. On top of this she's good with working with her hooves on small intricate objects, she hopes that her talent might have something to do with this, as she finds fiddling with her hooves quite therapeutic.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Even with a family as big as hers, Fox Glove finds the company of other unrelated ponies to be quite draining. She'll try to be as reclusive as possible while still managing her knickknack business. To avoid the busy market she's even launched the business from her own home. This isn't to say she's hates dealing with ponies, but rather that she's a introvert.
Fox Glove also has trouble dealing with her temper. Even though she has oodles of patience from growing up in a family so large and trying, it's bound to run out some time. And after all these years Fox Glove hasn't figured out how to fix things when she loses it, she finds apologizing almost impossible and the idea of breaking ties and finding new friends much easier.
Fears: Although warned that it might never happen, Fox Glove is terrified that she might live the rest of her days not ever knowing what her talent is, or where she really belongs in this world.
Overall Persona: Fox Glove likes to consider herself just an average mare. She enjoys following the crowds towards the latest fashions, and participating in all the newest trends. If it's popular, Fox Glove is probably already a fan. The only time she breaks this trend is with her music taste. She’s a rap fan for life.
She's a closed off pony, only keeping a few ponies close. As far as Fox Glove is concerned family is the only company she really needs, but she won't knock ‘friendship’ off until she’s really tried it--all she needs now is somepony she can stand being around for all that long. And when she’s locked up in her room most of the day, the only ponies she would have to pick from are those she meets while out grocery shopping or those who drop by her knickknack emporium.
Aside her issues with being an introvert, Fox Glove is plenty lively. She’s a champion shower singer, loves jamming out to loud music, and spoiling her pets. Talk about any of her interests and she’ll nerd out with you--sometimes going to the extent of butting into conversations she doesn’t belong in. She’s certainly gotten some weird looks by babbling on about fish even after the conversation had moved to something else entirely.
In closing Fox Glove is am everyday mare, she can be a little stubborn, and a little quiet, maybe at times even a little snarky. But she’s loyal to her family, and ponies she might one day consider to be her ‘family away from family’
History/Background: Fox Glove was born into a crowded family. She had cousins upon cousins, aunts and uncles from all over the globe, and a tight, loving, home life. Her early years were spent like most fillies, chasing the dream of her cutie mark and it wasn't until Fox Glove was around the age of 10 that she realized something off about her family. Her mother and father both had cutie marks, as did most of her cousins, aunts, and uncles. But her brother, and favorite aunt, and grandfather? All of them were much older than her, but didn't have anything to decorate their flank. That night her mother had to explain to her that sometimes ponies just never find their talent.
Fox Glove didn't take the news well, but she refused to give up the search. Job after job she undertook, hoping that one of them might lead her to what she was supposed to be doing in her life. But no payout. Now at the age of 28 Fox Glove had turned to trading, selling, and collecting knickknacks--objects that remind her that although you might be a little different, and not a lot of ponies can see your true worth, that you can still find places to belong and ponies that will love you.
