While having a conversation, the pony or scenery in front of her may appear different for a short period of time, but are only visible to her as far as she knows. Whether or not these patchy visions are but a small part of her true talent, she doesn't know.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Admiration and generally being appreciated whether it be for looks, inner beauty, or not; being in the present; simple and beautiful things that grasp her own attention and keep her feet on the ground; lavish parks filled with blooming flowers; feeling as if she's in control; green apples; designer products and nothing less; dramatic classical or instrumental music, such as cello and violin; ponies that make her laugh; geodes, gems, jewelry, shiny; cactus gardens; crossword puzzles.
Dislikes: Doing math or any equally tedious task she doesn't find necessary to live or be happy; animals, they smell and soil everything; disrupting and unpleasant noises; being startled; having to do things herself when she doesn't want to, like making food and doing chores; incompetent ponies; looking messy.
Motivation: Pearl loves and hates her special talent. As most ponies percieve it, it reflects beauty outward, however, it's inward effect is chaotic. Her coping for this is living a posh lifestyle, while stealing the hearts of unwavering fans with little to no effort besides doing what comes naturally. The adoration and attention from mobs of paparazzi do well to distract her. She wishes to discover what her true talent is, only she keeps pushing it off in a desperate attempt to avoid herself.
Strengths: Persistent, Graceful, Diplomatic, Ambitious, Confident, and Clever.
Pearl is very strong-willed and keen on getting her way at all times, which luckily for her, being a celebrity makes this easy. The ponies that know her find her strong suits admirable, however her negative traits are more often seen. Her climb up the ladder to fame was done in a very business-like manner, and of this she is proud of. However cunning and sly she is, she tries to step on other ponies in the kindest, most diplomatic way she can. Pearl knows she is a coveted celebrity, and she knows she's worth it. Who dare say she is anything less than magnificent? Her high levels of confidence often amount to arrogance.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Stubborn, Lazy, Possessive, Materialistic, Self-Indulging, Vain, and Domineering.
Although not born a celebrity, Pearl was raised among the fancy, high maintenance ponies of Canterlot, and of course raised with the finest things a filly could own. She has never truly appreciated her wealth, at least not any more than most rich ponies in Canterlot do, but refuses to have anything less. She enjoys lovely, decorative, rich apparel and furnishings of the highest quality and is always seeking to collect more items she fancies. She frowns upon preparing her own food and cleaning, and proves to be quite stubborn about it. Being waited on hand and foot is the light of Pearl's life. She is also very arrogant and vain. She cares much more about how she looks than how anypony else does, feeling she is the more visually appealing in any case. One major weakness that most deeply affects Pearl's life, is the one she suspects her cutie mark inflicts upon her.
Fears: Pearl fears the things she sees when she least expects them. Having a pleasant conversation with a pony and then suddenly seeing them with a gaping, toothy maw instead of a muzzle is a thing kept to oneself. Pearl doesn't react upon seeing these sometimes horrific visions, as she's come to terms with their falseness in her reality. Other fears she has are soiling new garments, having to look after young foals, and falling from large heights. She doesn't make flying a habit.
Overall Persona: Many ponies liken Pearl to most rich celebrities in Canterlot. She soaks up her luxurious lifestyle and works a perfect too-good-for-you attitude. However, beneath the layers of vanity and makeup, Pearl can be a very down to earth pony. She relies heavily on her status to disguise her true feelings. In a world of fame, honesty can be easily exploited, making her very unwilling to place her trust or emotions in the care of anyone. She is content in doing what makes her happy and is expected of her; she dislikes complication, and the simple notions of acting entitled and being treated like royalty is sometimes better than friendship, or so she believes. On the surface, she is very predictable and seemingly expressionless. She is blunt about what she wants, and confides her personal life to no one. Many ponies she encounters don't bother her about it, which is fine by her as long as they're doing her bidding. Below her facade, she struggles to find herself and feels as if she could amount to more. She longs for true friendship, but in stubborn pride, refuses to admit that. Pearl is boring, and she struggles to come to terms with that when everything about her is so apparently dream-like. She knows she is static, flat, lacking in friendship, even when she has the whole world at her hooves. She is empty, but not visually so, at least not to most, as she does a good job at hiding it. All the missing pieces inside her are filled with important dates, important ponies, and important, lovely possessions, all of which don't really matter. Like a true pearl, she is beautiful and reflective, admired by all and able to see the worlds, be carried through all its beauty and ugliness.. yet she has not truly experienced any of it, and she is not essential. However, she often pushes her inner bleakness aside and deals with the present, radiating an air of confidence and pride.
History/Background: Pearl was born and raised a spoiled, rich filly in Canterlot. Her parents had very high standards for her throughout her life, and their seeing any failure was deeply dreaded. Life with her parents was restless. They demanded constant business. To be idle was to be punished. Her schedules were filled with music lessons, dance classes, schooling, yoga, piano, singing in the choir, sports, swimming, anything available. She had little time for lazing about, and even less time for keeping up with friends. Her schooling was privately done at home, so normal foal interaction was rare. However chaotic all these activities were, she became extremely ambitious in all things she desired to pursue. As a filly, her smarts were very promising. She grew into a world she knew how to manipulate. Ponies from all over adored her beauty, and of course her lavish fashion sense, and it wasn't before long that she stepped into modeling for the most highly coveted industry in Canterlot. Her fame quickly spread. After leaving the home of her parents, Pearl fell into a slump of laziness regarding housework or anything else she had been unwilling to do as a filly. She doesn't see a need for her to do anything tedious while she has the funds to command other ponies to do tasks for her. Pearl is a highly popular fashion model icon, and is surrounded by followers and posh ponies. She has seen the world, and seen enough ponies to guess at most of their natures', but still only feels empty, as if she's only seen the surface of a vast ocean.
