-General Stuff-
Name: Evening Breeze
Nickname/Alias(es): Breezie
Race: Pegasus
Gender: Female
Age: Young mare (equivalent of 20 in human years)
Additional Status: She has no pets and doesn’t think having one is worth the hassle, although she does like animals. She wears a brown watch around her left front foreleg to keep the time.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Her coat is a uniform light grey, a little bit darker than a silver color.
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Her main and tail are two-tone, a mix of turquoise and bright purple. When working or flying long distance, she keeps her mane and tail neatly braided. During her time off, she usually lets her medium-length hair fly loose. It isn’t particularly styled, since she is a bit of a tomboy, but is still quite charming due to its rough-and-ready appeal.
Eye Color: Turquoise, the same color as the streaks in her mane and tail.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a fluffy, dark grey cloud being blown away by swirls of light blue wind to reveal part of a yellow crescent moon.
Other Scars/Markings: She has three darker grey freckles on each cheek.
Physique: Breezie is a bit taller than average, with long legs that she occasionally uses to get a running start before lifting off. Her body is average; she isn’t skinny but rather well-muscled in a feminine way. Still, she isn’t “pretty” – she was never a filly who the colts had crushes on. She also isn’t particularly elegant or poised, but something about her casual persona is attractive to some. Her wings are on the smaller side and she is better at sprinting than long-distance flying.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: Breezie currently lives in Cloudsdale, but dreams of one day living in a major city like Canterlot or Manehatten.
Job: She currently works the night shift as a weather pony, keeping the weather constant and the clouds away as other ponies dream. She doesn’t mind the job because she gets to sleep in late every day, but sometimes it gets lonely. The part she enjoys most is the ability to travel; Breezie is often sent on assignment to different locations in Equestria, which is quite exciting to her adventurous spirit. But she doesn’t see herself doing this forever, and feels a bit lost when it comes to her long-term career.
Mother: Moongleam
Father: Blue Nova
Sibling(s): Starblitz (Younger sister, teenager), Moon Spirit (Younger brother, colt) – I don’t plan on rping these at any point, but they’re important to Breezie’s backstory.
Closest Friends: None at the time!
Courting/Courted By: None at the time!
Mate: None at the time!
Foal(s): None at the time!
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Breezie likes two very contradicting things – sleeping and being active. Since she works the night shift, she typically sleeps until late afternoon, even on days she was off the night before. At the same time, she also cannot stand to be bored – as soon as she is awake, she likes to be busy. Breezie likes racing and competing with other ponies. She likes food and adventure and seeing new places. She likes the nighttime and cool weather, feeling the wind whip through her mane as she soars among the stars.
Dislikes: Since Breezie likes to keep busy, she absolutely despises boredom. Also, despite being competitive, she doesn’t like when other ponies are overly competitive. She hates being woken up or having her sleep interrupted. She also does not enjoy hot weather or excessive snow. Another thing Breezie hates – being lectured to. She’s heard enough of that from her mother, so she can’t stand know-it-alls.
Motivation: Breezie looks forward to her assignments in different locations around Equestria. She can stand of night of just keeping Ponyville cloud-free if it means she gets to spend the next night soaring above Manehatten. Her motivation is also, in a sense, that she is waiting to get motivation – beneath it all she wants to prove to her family that she is more than just a lazy, rebellious youngster, but she isn’t quite sure how to do it yet. For now, her motivation to rise every day is the pressure to keep her job, and also the fact that she gets to travel quite frequently.
Strengths: Breezie’s sense of adventure is one of her best qualities. She is fun to hang out with, as long as you can either keep up with her, or entertain her enough to keep her from being bored. She has a good sense of humor and, being an older sister, is quite good at both delegating and at listening to somepony’s problems. She is dedicated to her work and when given a task, does her best to ensure that it is completed. She is not a perfectionist by any means, but she knows how to do a job right. She is honest and kind to everyone she meets, unless they give her a reason not to be. Even though she doesn't enjoy arguing, due to past disputes with her mother, she is darn good at it.
Weaknesses/Flaws: One of Breezie’s weaknesses is her lack of a sense of direction in life. Though she is young, it often leaves her feeling gloomy and unmotivated. She also doesn’t have much respect for authority, given her family history. She is working on changing this, but it has been a difficult journey for her. She also gets bored extremely easily, which can lead her to stop listening completely, even in important conversations. She is also quite sensitive beneath her carefree exterior and does not take well to criticism.
Fears: Breezie’s surface fears are oversleeping and missing something important, and being stuck in one place for too long. Deeper than that, she fears that she will never be able to figure out a more permanent and exciting life plan, and she’ll end up stuck being a weather pony forever. She also fears that she will never live up to her parents standards, and will forever been seen as lazy and disrespectful.
Overall Persona: Breezie is as open-minded as they come. Her desire in life is to the see the world, and she’s trying her best to do so. The problem is her laziness – while it has melted away somewhat she emerged from her teenage years, it still haunts her; sometimes ponies unaware of her work schedule will comment on how she wastes the day with sleeping in, which does nothing but hurt her feelings. Breezie tries to see the world with a sense of humor and optimism, and she desperately wants to be a good friend to others. She struggles to make friends due to being forced to stay awake at night, while nearly everyone else sleeps. She combats these feelings of loneliness with a cheerful outlook and a kind heart. Breezie can be a little blunt when she’s feeling irritated or tired, but she does her best to never snap. Deep down she harbors guilt at how far she has drifted from her family, but she hopes to one day make her parents and siblings proud – doing what, she doesn’t yet know. When Breezie is excited about something, she makes it known. Actually, she’s this way about a lot of things – if she’s displeased about something, those around her will know that was well. She can be impatient sometimes – she’s quite minimalistic, and doesn’t see the point of wasting time on the smaller things in life. Breezie is all about the big picture – so perhaps she just needs to meet somepony who will convince her to slow down and focus on more than just, well, everything.
History or Background: Breezie is the oldest of her three siblings. Both of her parents are weather ponies, loves of their jobs and the skies. Breezie was told from the start that she would also be a weather pony – something she rejected, but ultimately accepted during her teenage years. She wanted to have a life outside of that of her parents – she feared being stuck in boring old Cloudsdale, just like them. When Breezie was 4, her sister Starblitz was born, and when she was 10, her brother Moon Spirit came to be. From the beginning, it was obvious that Starblitz and Moon Spirit were the favored siblings. They did better in school, were more respectful at home, and readily aspired to be weather ponies. When Breezie hit her teenage years she became even more rebellious, often skipping school or sneaking out late to go on adventures or hang out with friends. Whenever she was caught, she was grounded, which made her sullen and bitter. Constant lectures about respect and honesty from her mother, Moongleam, simply rubbed salt in the wound. Tired of being called lazy and a disappointment, Breezie moved out as soon as she was able to, and got a job as a nighttime weather pony, which was enough to both please her parents and give her a sense of adventure. Breezie tries to avoid visiting home as much as possible, as whenever she goes she is still compared to her siblings, which just makes her upset.
