-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Rain, adrenaline, heights, swimming, running, climbing, vanilla, pastries, mostly any sort of music, the cold, naps, dancing, comic books, and the city life.
Dislikes: Heat waves, being held back, being told to be quiet, nutmeg, ponies being mean to his friends, being injured, getting stuck out in the country, silence.
Motivation: Alley Runner is a very physically motivated pony, and his biggest motivation is to constantly push himself. He lives life on the edge, and is always chasing that surge of adrenaline, and is always trying to make himself better. He sees limits as something to be broken, and doesn't believe that there's any boundary he can't push.
Strengths: As a courier pony, Alley Runner is a very strong and very fast stallion. He spends hours every day running and climbing, so his physical prowess is very high. However, his biggest strength must be his persistence and his determination. He's constantly faced with troubles, considering that he has no wings and no horn, but true to the Earth Pony way, he relies on determined innovation and creativity to get him to where he's going. With that said, he's also a very creative pony, who doesn't usually go for the obvious solution. He'll use his head to come up with ways that are easier or that save him effort. Alley Runner is almost painfully protective of his friends, and is always willing to go the extra mile to help his friends out of a jam. He's willing to sacrifice most everything of his own to make a friend happy, and will generously give every bit he earns if a friend is down on their luck. Finally, Alley Runner is a dedicated friend and businesspony. If he makes a promise or a deal, he'll always hold his end, no matter what the cost is to himself. He's proud of his word, and so he keeps his word.
Weaknesses/Flaws: As determined and persistent as Alley Runner is, he's as stubborn as a mule. When he takes up a stance about something, he'll defend his stance for as long as he possibly can, even if it's painfully obvious that he's wrong. He thinks that if he comes up with something, it's the only thing he could ever possibly believe on the subject, and it takes a lot of arguing to get him to see otherwise. He's also not an incredibly booksmart pony, and instead relies on his instincts and what sounds right. When it comes to the subject of academia, he relies on others who are more knowledgeable than him, and can often be tricked in that particular subject. Alley Runner is also a little combative, and will leap to a physical confrontation whenever his friends are being threatened or made fun of. As such, his social skills, particularly his ability to defuse situations, is a little lacking.
Fears: Alley Runner is terrified of being put in a cage, or at least some sort of imprisonment that won't allow him to get out there and hit the day at a sprint. He loves his freedom, and he loves his ability to exercise his freedom whenever he can. Having his freedom taken away from him is his biggest fear, and motivates him to take even more out of his day. As odd as it is, Alley Runner is also afraid of silence. He has severe sedatephobia, and will go so far as to have full-blown panic attacks if he's in absolute silence. As such, he prefers to stay in the city where there's always some sort of noise going on. As an urban courier, Alley Runner uses his limbs a lot to get him around places, specifically in running and climbing. Relying on his limbs so much has made him paranoid of getting paralyzed or crippled, and he's always wary of any sort of stunts or maneuvers that would possibly wind him up in a hospital because of that.
Overall Persona: Alley Runner was born a runner, an athlete, and an adrenaline junkie. He always loved the thrill of the chase, the excitement that came with running, with climbing, with heights, with the battle that life presented. It was an overwhelming sense of freedom that he found himself in love with, a freedom that he exercised every day, every free moment that he could get.
Because of his sheer addiction to pushing his physical limits, he payed little attention in school, and was never actually interested in learning in class. He was happy to play on the school leagues, to make friends and even sometimes get in fights, but he was never happy to just sit at his desk and learn from dusty old books. Even despite the fact that he was never great in school, he found a job that fit his personality and his hobbies, and became an urban courier as soon as he graduated from secondary school. The job allowed him the freedom to earn bits while doing what he loved, and it was something he couldn't have possibly been more happy with.
However, surprisingly, he never actually knew that he had sedatephobia until he was about midway through school. He was taking the subway back home late at night after a party, and the station was empty, and the underground location was almost perfectly silent. After having a panic attack in the subway station, he learned that he couldn't handle perfect silence, and learned to stay near the city center where it was always the loudest. He's not terribly bothered by the phobia, and actually manages to deal with it quite well most of the time. Though the city's always quite noisy, Alley also has an occasional tendency of humming to himself whenever he feels particularly anxious.
History/Background: Alley Runner was born in Manehatten, the only son of a pegasus mother and a unicorn father. He was a rambunctious child, who often liked to break things and run around. In grade school, he started getting into sports, and absolutely loved it from the get-go. At some point in time, he developed sedatephobia, which is a severe phobia of silence, and he realized he had it at a point during secondary school. Despite this, during secondary school, he still participated in sports and had a lot of friends, though he still never really paid attention in class. After graduation, Alley Runner got a job as an urban courier, where he could put his skills as an athlete and parkourist to an actual use, and make money off of his natural physical skills while still getting an adrenaline rush from it. His life is particularly uneventful, despite his daily race that involves more adrenaline than most ponies ever experience in a lifetime. He stays out of political matters, he avoids world-ending evils, and enjoys his little slice of life.
