-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Bliss loves to read recipe books and try making dishes with her own spin on them, even if they aren't always tasty. She enjoys fall weather best and being able to start stocking up her hot cocoa for the cold season. She enjoys practicing practically applied magic in assistance with her dreams and jobs. Tell her a story about a favorite memory involving food, especially with somepony, and she will be delighted to try and make that food for you again to relive it. If Tartsy comes up with a new management plan or idea, she is all ears and likes to keep her brother happy and even help him impress his friends, though she is a bit dated on some fads, she tries to stay up in some way.
Dislikes: Bitter foods have never been ideal in her mind and Bliss certainly is not a fan of wasting food. She doesn't care too much for swimming or hot weather either as the feeling of sweating is disdainful. If she could live in cold weather year round, she'd probably never have a complaint about the weather. Despite the Pegasus members of her family, she has no desire to leave the ground or very far from it. While she loves the book her mother of birth left her, she is still very conflicted on how she feels about the story of her birth mother leaving her.
Motivation: One day Bliss would love to have her own Gourmet Restaurant not funded or managed by her family, minus her Brother Tartsy. Everyday is a turn to learn something new while cooking, even if it's just taste testing the uncooked ingredients and mixing up something crazy. She adores her family and loves how they support her through all her crazy food adventures and her attempts to make something totally brand new. She would eventually then hope her restaurant does so well she can open a chain of them in the main cities of Equestria and become popular enough to need a waiting list at the original. A girl can dream forever and if she has the motivation to pursue it, one day it has to be true.
Strengths: Cooking in General, Confectionery Foods Especially. Pretty fast on her hooves, a little witty, and great at picking out food flavors. Bliss has had a knack for cooking since before she could remember, that isn't too say she didn't have mishaps, but she always took accidents as a turn for her to learn something instead of just know it out right. Her speed comes form training with her Adoptive father and even chasing her brother, they have the free skies on their side, but she has knowledge of the ground thanks to her adoptive mother, which makes it easier for her to respond to different terrain, but the scar on her bottom hoof is a soft spot. Her wit comes from a love of learning form her mistakes and observing other's and how they react to things. She may not be an endless fountain of knowledge, but she has plenty of snarky remarks she learned from the ponies she grew up around. She believes that her ability to pick out flavors and savor them has to do with her special talent for cooking gourmet foods, of course again, sweets especially. If she couldn't tell spicy pepper extracts or tart citrus acids, how would she know just what to add to give her food that delightful flare at the end of your mouth watering treat?
Weaknesses/Flaws: Bliss isn't to fond of heights and has a bad case of vertigo at most elevations she doesn't have a safety rail near. Her magic isn't much good for anything other than catching things, using her tools, and of course her job purposes. She can't do much performance magic, nor does she like to actually be in front of crowds despite her dream to have a popular chain one day. Don't ask her to make clothing suggestions unless you want to look like a walking piece of candy.
Fears: Heights, Disappointing or Burdening her Adoptive Family, Being spotlighted in front of a large crowd, and spiders. Bliss is terrified of heights from a bad experience with her adoptive father that was in no way his fault. He merely wanted to let her enjoy the sky, and she did, but when a collision with another pegasus pony who was knocked off course from a gust had her falling to what she felt was truly her end, she hasn't been fond of leaving the ground since. She was saved from the fall and she gave heights a few more chances and honestly tries to, but the vertigo and the harsh words her father sometimes gives on her lack of ariel delight doesn't make her want to get any further than ground. Sometimes she lets the fact of her being adopted get to her a bit too much. She always worries she is a problem to them deep down and wonders if perhaps she was left on a door step because she wasn't what her birth parent's wanted, and so it can be a very touchy subject with her and she may be a bit of a try-hard if she heard her family is in town. Spotlights and spiders actually go hand-in-hand with Bliss. When in her kinderhoof class, they were doing a play, and a mean little colt decided to play a nasty prank on her and drop a fake spider on her head in the middle of her performance. When this happened, being like most little girls, scared of bugs, she screeched out and cried as she ran in circles and bucked about trying to get it off of her, much of the crowd laughing at her antics, not realizing she was truly in a fit, and while the show went on, she found she never had much taste for the spotlight after that and spiders to the day still gives her quite a fright, fake or not. Though they can be adorable decorations on holidays for the kiddies.
Overall Persona: Bliss is pretty cheerful and peppy. She's not overly exuberant, but if she can help make you smile, or at least feed your tummy, she is content to do her part. The unicorn mare finds little sorrows besides how she relies off her family's money to kick start her dreams and afford to live in a decent home away from home and she gets embarrassed easily when talking about how she funds herself since sales are not always great in the market while she is still working on her trade. Bliss would be pleased to just get stable sales in the near future, with or without her younger brother's help, though she is still trying to find out how to appropriately balance her fiances. While never far behind, Bliss finds it often hard to keep on fads minus holidays and annual functions that she has seen repetitively. Due to being Work-Minded, it can be a bit hard for her to make friends and fit in, so she admires those who have close bonds as well as those who are independent business owners. Romantically, Bliss is an absolute sucker for classy tales of cliche romance, whether love at first sight or some cheesy star-crossed romance tale, that is her kind of non recipe book. When she got her cutie mark as a filly from an accidental addition to some candies she was helping her Adoptive Mother make, she knew instantly candy was her destiny and while her Birth Mother only gave her the name Bliss, Lily Burst must have known she'd excel at sweets when naming her confectionery, that or she really was just a sweet baby. She is very fond of her adoptive family who has supported her even in her rebellious years of trying to make spicy noodle dishes, which was a travesty she still turns red over. If she could achieve her dreams and make her adoptive family proud of her, actually proud of her accomplishments, she feels her life would be complete.
History/Background: Bliss was left on the Spooks doorstep in Canterlot when just a baby and a stack of cook books. Her memories of her mother are very blurry, but her adoptive parents have told her that her mother only wanted what was best when she left her. Because of lack of memory of either being clear for her birth family, Bliss really doesn't consider her Adoptive parents to be adoptive, they are her family no doubt about it. She has run through the hall of their small Canterlot home most of her life and despite the troubles she got into burning so many foods and wreaking the kitchen many a times over, they have always been there for her, scolding and all. They always supported her, even when she tried to do fashion, which was usually just a horrible combination of too many bright colors and named after candies. Under her right front hoof there is a small scar she has had since fillyhood where she ran away from home after finding out she was adopted. She had run along the tracks and stumbled at a point on a sharp rock and injured her tender bottom hoof on a rather nasty sharp rock.
Bliss was found by Lily shortly after and carried home by Zephyr where they tended to her and cheered her up, and she realized how silly she was for leaving. At some point, Tartsy came along, named courtesy of Bliss of course, for his purple hair reminding her of a sweet yet tart candy she had on her first trip to a candy store. Tazrtsy and her have few feuds, but usually its from her lack of willingness to attend to anything off the safety of the ground despite how much it means to her dad and Tartsy, rarely has she actually gone to see them when heights are involved unless she thought it absolutely required. Her family started the food cart when she was teenaged and wanted to do one in her highschool days. At a school event she wanted to sell sweets and goods during it and after that it just took off from there with her parent's and brother's influence and additions to her menus, you never know what you will get in her chocolate surprise boxes or spicy tangy syrups. One day she dreams of owning her own Gourmet 4 star Restaurant chain and doing so independently from her family to make them super proud and even repay them for all their never ending kindness. To start her journey, she asked to live in their Ponyville home of a medium home sizer, usually used as a summer or spring vacation home, it is her current permanent residence as she tries to learn more about the sweets that less bustling or active city ponies like and how she can incorporate that into her dream to attract customers of all kinds.
