Dislikes: The cold, as well as silence. Being judged for the actions of others, and having ponies assume what she thinks and wants. Fighting, or being around particularly heated arguments. She’s uncomfortable being alone, and is irritated when she’s telling the truth but ponies don’t believe her.
Motivation: Xithy is motivated by her appetite for two things; knowledge and love. She is seeking love directed at her, as opposed to love that she saps from others, and is trying to understand the meaning of love beyond it as just food. The search has her wandering across Equestria, trying to understand.
Strengths: Understanding others, specifically reading their feelings, and trying to help. She’s a good liar, able to play the part of a pony when it’s necessary. Patient and curious, she’s willing to chase down answers to something she wants to know, and she’s usually good at finding the answers she’s looking for.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Of course, curiosity is a problem sometimes. So is being a good liar. She’s not physically strong, not a warrior by any means. She’s a little naïve, and gives the benefit of the doubt to ponies because she expects that they’d do the same for her. Easily distracted, she gets sidetracked when she’s not solely focused on one thing. Her inability to understand love drives her to a single-minded search that drives her all across Equestria.
Fears: Cats have a tendency of spooking her, considering cats aren’t the friendliest with insects, or things that look like insects. She’s also afraid of being trapped in a cage, and getting stuck in a physical fight. Despite her race, she’s terrified of getting chased out of a town without ponies giving her a chance. Anyone reading her journal without her permission, and she’s the most afraid of never figuring out the meaning of love.
Overall Persona: Xithy is kind-spirited and understanding, and tries to give the benefit of the doubt to everyone she meets. Despite the fact that she’s spent her entire life hopping from disguise to disguise, she’s always felt guilty when lying to ponies, and has a tendency of telling the truth whenever she feels safe to do so. She tends to go out without a disguise, at least whenever it’s not going to threaten her safety to do so. Though she’s had her fair shares of times where being honest has gotten her in trouble, Xithy prefers to try and get ponies to come to their own conclusions about her instead of judging her off of her species, and will stay out of disguise to allow ponies to do that instead of hiding and trying to act like a pony.
Whenever she does feel threatened, though, she’s more than capable of donning her most common disguise so that she can escape. She actively avoids conflicts whenever it’s possible, choosing to hide or run if the options are available, usually relying on her disguise to get her out of situations that her honesty gets her into. Inquisitive and curious to a fault, Xithy has tasked herself with the herculean task of trying to understand the meaning and cause of love beyond just as a source of energy. She’s made it her quest to try and find love being directed at her, as opposed to siphoning off of other’s love for nourishment.
Of course, to sort out her journeys across Equestria, Xithy keeps a journal of all of her adventures, particularly so she can organize her thoughts on paper and not get distracted. Since beginning her exploration of Equestria, she actually found that she enjoys writing, and enjoys the creative arts that ponies have made. She’s particularly fond of music, and finds herself drawn towards locales where music is played the most. Her enjoyment of music also makes her gravitate towards musicians, as her curiosity drives her towards tying to figure out how ponies come up with such interesting music. Of course, that's a search that doesn't yield very much answers, considering that she's never made music before.
But, like in her search to understand love, she doesn't let failure stop her from trying to continue on her search. Failure, while slightly irritating to Xithy, prods her towards continuing her adventures and trying again. She's persistent, to say the least, and she always thinks that there's a solution out there, and it's all a matter of finding it.
History/Background: After the failed attack on Canterlot, where Xithy suffered a wound from a couple of ponies with bat wings and dark armor, she broke off in her disguise to try and find some sort of meaning beyond following the Queen and getting hurt by ponies. Her first trip wound up taking her to a library, where she stumbled upon a few romance novels by accident. Never having actually read a creative novel before, Xithy was quite interested by the content of the book, and found herself questioning everything she knew about love.
She had only ever considered and understood love to be a source of food, something to steal and hide away. She didn’t understand what it meant to actually be targeted by love, or what it could mean without seeing it as food. After spending a long time just reading, Xithy decided she wanted to find out for herself what it meant to be targeted by love, and more importantly, what love actually was. Packing up what little she had, Xithy started wandering around Equestria to try and find what she could sum up to be the meaning of love, and to try and find where she could be the target of direct love, instead of siphoning it off from others. To keep a track of what she learned about love in her travels, she took up keeping a journal, and writes very frequently about what she’s found out about love. Or, more appropriately, what she’s found out what love isn’t.
