Additional Status: Wears a gold necklace with her cutie mark on it given to her by her mother at her cuteceanera. In an effort to imitate the crystal ponies, she also wears gold-colored hairbands. Hence the nickname 'Crystal', given to her by her sister.

Mane/Tail Color and Style: Leafy green with streaks of darker green. She does her best to imitate the style of a crystal pony, and wears gold-colored hairbands in her mane and tail.

Cutie Mark: A treble clef the color of her eyes, representing her talent of singing, especially in higher pitches (soprano).

-Personality Stuff-

Likes: Singing (obvious fact is obvious), spending time with her sister and/or friends, making new friends, flying, imitating crystal ponies, the ocean
Dislikes: Silence, bugs, changelings, anybody that threatens her loved ones, Lord Tirek
Motivation: Ocean is almost always looking forward to a new day, eager to find out what adventures lie ahead. She is particularly waiting for the day in which her best friend Eclipse Shine will come back from her studies in Canterlot's magic school. She is also hoping to someday become a famous singer.
Strengths: 

-Skills: Singing- Again, obvious fact is obvious. It's her special talent- especially soprano music.

Basic forms of close combat- Believe it or not, Ocean knows basic combat techniques for pegasi, taught to her by her father.

Multitasking- Ponies always seem to burst into song spontaneously. For a pony that specializes in singing, she could be singing while falling to her death. This doesn't just apply to singing. Ocean once made an omelet while doing her hair. She didn't even drop a hair in!

-Positive Personality Traits: Poised- Because she grew up in aristocratic Canterlot, Ocean is excellent at acting stuffy and regal, but not as much as those nobles, of course.

Positive- Ocean Song is upbeat and positive about life in general, and she sees the glass as half full, so to speak.

Friendly- Friendship is a big part in Ocean's life, and thus does her best to make new friends.

Fiercely loyal- Despite not being particularly brave, Ocean will fight tooth and hoof for anyone who has her loyalty, both figuratively and literally. This was especially demonstrated during the changeling attack on Canterot and Tirek's rise to power.
Weaknesses/Flaws: 

Weaknesses: Panic attacks- Any of her fears may cause her to lose her usually calm, upbeat attitude and collapse into a squeaking, wailing mess.

Difficult decisions- Her parents taught her the importance of choosing carefully, sticking to her morals, and doing the "right thing", so when the three clash, a small panic attack may occur. Ocean is not good at thinking on the fly and prefers at least a little time to think things through.

-Negative Personality Traits: Stubbornness- Ocean is very stubborn, and seldom does she ever back down. This has occasionally led to arguments.

Perfectionism- Canterlot looks oh so perfect at a glance, and such an upbringing led to her desiring everything in her life to be just so. 

Constant fussing- This trait is linked to her perfectionism and stubbornness. Her hair has to be perfect, her necklace must not be crooked, her plans cannot be interrupted (unless it's an emergency). 

Sensitivity- Though she should expect it in her line of work, she is sensitive to criticism and does not like it when ponies call her out for a mistake she made.

Fears: Lord Tirek- Not only was having her magic sucked out of her (according to her) painful and traumatizing, but so was the period that followed, in which she couldn't fly or sing as well as she used to.

Bugs- Waaaay too icky and weird-looking.

Losing her voice- One of the worst things a singer can live through- and it's happened before. It resulted in multiple panic attacks.

Being forgotten/abandoned- Ocean holds friendship in high regard. Losing that would be a nightmare.

War- Much like friendship, she values harmony above all else (except friendship).
Overall Persona: Ocean Song is a very positive and friendly pony. She sees everything in a positive light where someone else might see the negative only, and generally sees her glass of orange juice as half full, so to speak. Because she holds friendship in such high regard, she is friendly and loves making friends; She would be one of the first five ponies to welcome you to Ponyville. Ocean grew up in Canterlot, so naturally she still uses the poised mannerisms of a noble, albeit not so snottily and full of herself. Her father was in the Royal Guard in his youth, so she also learned to be loyal to those she cares about, and loyal she is!  

    But like all ponies, she has her flaws. Ocean can be very stubborn, and seldom does she ever back down once she has made her decision. Her comfortable upbringing in Canterlot led to her being quite the perfectionist and very fussy when things aren't just so. And even though she should expect it, being a singer, Ocean is very sensitive to any sort of criticism due to her obsession with perfection.

    Besides enjoying singing for obvious reasons, Ocean likes to do anything friendship-related. This includes spending time with her sister and current friends, and making new ones. She is also quite a fan of the crystal ponies' mane styles. Ocean loves the ocean, not only because it's her namesake, but also because of its calm appearance. And like almost all pegasi, she enjoys flying.

History/Background:

Ocean Song grew up in Canterlot in a rich family, among the nobles. Though she never quite believed it, her mother Sea Pearl insisted that her family was descended from some of the most important nobles in the unicorn tribe of ancient times, back before the three tribes joined and founded Equestria. Her father, Shielded Fortress, was an important lieutenant in the Royal Guard, and thus further added to the family's wealth. He retired shortly after Ocean's birth.

    As a young foal, Ocean Song was bullied many times by the unicorn foals at her school, a few even believing themselves to be superior, simply because she was a pegasus. They insisted that she was not worthy of carrying on the family legacy; she was, after all, descended from the unicorn tribe. Because of this treatment, Ocean became stubborn and sensitive to criticism. And when her younger sister Sunlit Jewel came along, the bullies mocked her even more. "Sunlit may be a baby," they said, "But at least she's a unicorn!" And then they laughed.

    Ocean Song decided  to join the Royal Guard, like her father. She trained and trained and trained. But no matter how hard she tried, she could never quite master any of the techniques her father taught her. Her father had the bright idea of sending her to a summer camp for foals interested in being part of the Royal Guard someday. Because she was a filly, however, she stuck out like a sore thumb (or hoof?) among the colts. At the end of the day, the campers would gather around a campfire and sing songs. Again, Ocean Song stuck out, but this time, it was because of her beautiful voice. The last night of camp, after much insistence from a couple of campers she sang a solo in front of all the campers and counselors, which she secretly enjoyed much more than their grueling exercises. When she finished, everypony clapped and cheered.

    Ocean decided then and there that perhaps she shouldn't join the Royal Guard after all, and try something that she had always enjoyed, but never thought of as a career: singing. Suddenly, her audience began cheering even louder, and some started pointing to... her flank? Ocean glanced down. Instead of seeing her usually blank flank, she saw a golden treble clef, the color of her eyes. Ocean Song went home the next day with the great news. Her parents were delighted, and while her father was a little disappointed that she wouldn't be joining the Royal Guard, he was quite supportive. For her cuteceanera, her parents organized a huge party, being the extremely rich nobles that they were. Her mother gave her a special gold necklace with her cutie mark in pink, which she wears almost every day.

    Ocean Song moved to Ponyville shortly after her 15th birthday, deciding to start small and move to a bigger city when her career took off. A year later, Ocean visited Canterlot for her sister's birthday. While shopping for her present, she met a filly her age named Eclipse Shine. The two bonded and became instant best friends over milkshakes. Eclipse was a student at Celestia's school for unicorns.

    Ocean Song went back to peaceful Ponyville. Lord Tirek's return a while later shook her up quite a bit, however. She later described having her ability of flight sucked away and eaten as "having your very soul ripped out and watching it get devoured by a horrible abomination." She was surely exaggerating.
