-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Being the daughter of an artist, she loves all forms of art, as well as classical music, theater, literature, Botany (Plant studies), and she also studies herbs for fun. She is also a big cat person, and she's a sucker for sappy romance stories.
Dislikes: She can't stand messy or clustered rooms/places, boredom, dogs, and rough weather. Being a nitpicker, she feels the needs to fix anything out of place. She's not fond of dogs for the reason that they are rather messy. And from an early age, she's despised storms, mainly thunder and lightning.
Motivation: Every day she wakes up with excitement and opens her business to anypony who wants their dreams explained. She fills with joy as she gives all ponies peace of mind, knowing they can rest easy. If she can make anypony's day, it makes hers.
Strengths: She is compassionate, empathetic, friendly, genial, analytical, calm, clever, creative, dedicated to her work, passionate, discerning, insightful, intuitive, knowledgeable, observant, and reflective.
Weaknesses/Flaws: She is very squeamish, very blunt to a fault, finicky/meticulous, a hopeless romantic, a pacifist to the extreme, and a perfectionist. She has a chocolate obsession and a phobia of heights (and a fear of falling from such heights) and spiders. She has "Two left feet": that is to say, she can't dance for the life of her. She also has a form of color blindness called protanomaly, specifically she has trouble distinguishing between the colors of red and orange.
Fears: Spiders give her the creeps, heights give her Vertigo, nightmares she's had that she can't seem to explain herself, the sound of thunder and the idea of getting hit by lightning (hence why she cowers and hides in her blankets when a storm comes), germs for the fact that she has a low immune system and can catch even the tiniest cold, failure in her passion, and pitch black darkness, for not being able to see what's ahead frightens her.
Overall Persona: Caring, compassionate, and always willing to ease the minds of everypony who comes to her with concerns of dreams. She would never turn anypony away: all are welcome into her shop. She loves studying the symbols and meanings of dreams, which she records in her personal log.
She daydreams a lot of the time when she's alone, fantasizing of meeting her "one true love", as she is a hopeless and cheesy romantic. She is always honest with her dream interpretations, and she's not shy about being blunt, being a pony who doesn't beat around the bush and gets straight to the heart of it all.
If she finds difficulty interpreting a dream, she will be straightforward about it, because she's not in it for the money, she genuinely wants to help in any way she can. Even if a pony was rude or mean to her, she gives them the benefit of the doubt.
She is a lover, not a fighter, and rather than getting into an argument with somepony she politely stands her ground and leaves. But it still wounds her, and she ends up dwelling on it later on. She is a very sensitive soul inside. On the surface she does her best to remain calm and steady.
She is very discerning, and a detail-oriented pony. She also tends to nitpick, and if something is out of place, no matter where it is, she will not hesitate to fix it. She's considering creating a school for interpreting dreams.
History/Background: Born and raised in Cantorlot, Dreamfinder is the daughter of a matchmaker mother named Amber Heart and an artist father named Song Painter, both of course unicorns. Her brother, Figment, was born when she was a teenager, and she is very protective of her sibling, and he finds it a little annoying sometimes.
As a filly she gained an interest in hearing the dreams of her parents and her school mates, and began to read books about dreams and the meanings behind them. One morning her mother told her of a dream she had of a lone tree on a hill falling over, and wondered what it meant. Dreamfinder mused over it, and decided to research its meaning. She started a log at that point to record the meanings and symbols of dreams. After writing her discovery in a cohesive manner, she relayed to her mother that the falling tree symbolized that her mother was feeling off-balance, out of sync about something in her life. When her mother soaked in her daughter's words, she felt at ease, coming to mind that she was indeed feeling that way when it came to her matchmaking business, and that she was beginning to feel out of tune with it. Soon after, she decided to interpret dreams for her school mates and other members of her family, recording their dreams and the meanings behind them in her log for reference. Dreamfinder then got her cutie mark, a symbol for dreams called a Triskele.
When she was fully grown, Dreamfinder was inspired to start her own business, and with her parents' help she opened her shop in Cantorlot called "The Dream Fountain." It was hard at first, but with the right publicity she was able to get a steady flow of ponies who wanted thier dreams explained. Some ponies were happy, others relieved, others distraught and a few were even angry over her explanations. But she is honest with every pony that comes into her shop, and to mask or cover up something from a dream in her opinion is not truly dream interpretation.
She has also made the shop her home, living in an upstairs apartment where she enjoys studying plants and herbs for fun, reading cheesy romances and listening to classical Equestrian music. She's never had a lifelong best friend, but she hopes to someday find one.
