Mane/Tail Color and Style: Luminoise's mane and tail are both pure white. She typically wears her mane with a straight - well, as straight as she can manage, the ends still seem to curl inwards no matter what she tries - fringe, cutting off directly above her eyelids. From the poll down the crest, her main begins the flow in large waves that begin to fluff lightly as they pass the withers. By the end of mane, the white strands have curled into smaller swirls. Her poofy, waved mane has often been described as a cloud. Luminoise parts her mane down the middle, though the majority of the hair rests over left side, the right being slightly thinner. Her tail is strung high, and dips in one, large, curled wave, the tips riding upwards.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Music, her Ocarina, octopus', puzzles, traveling.
Dislikes: Lawbreakers, disobedience, silliness in a serious situation, irrational decisions.
Motivation: Her sister. Luminoise travels the world, sharing her music for every pony to hear, but has an ulterior motive in that she is attempting to find her missing sister. She plays the ocarina with the hope that Rising Song will hear it and will, finally, return home.
Strengths: Intelligent - One of Luminoise's strongest aspects is her mind. She is known to be quite the smarty, and is good at the more logical aspects of intelligence such as puzzle-solving and decision-making.
Quick-witted and calculating - Along with her intelligence, Luminoise is an extremely fast thinker, easily being able to make split-second decisions after quickly analyzing the situation.
Musical - Ever since she first received her ocarina, Luminoise has studied the art of music. Over the years she has obtained many different instruments, such as flutes and violins, and uses her horn to levitate and play a tiny orchestra of instruments when she performs, while playing the ocarina by hoof.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Superiority complex, over-confident, over-analyses, somewhat narcissistic over her intelligence. Luminoise is quite a prideful mare, and often - in her own mind - comes under the impression that she is much smarter than others. This leads her to have somewhat of a superiority complex, which can make her come off as prudish at times when she flaunts it. She is so proud of her intelligence, in fact, that she has quite a stubborn confidence in her decisions - even if they're the wrong ones. It takes a lot of convincing to get her to change her mind on such matters. At times, she can also over-analyse a situation, often dramatizing it to be a much bigger problem than it actually is.
Fears: What comes after life, change, the distant future. Lumioise's greatest fear is her own mortality. She is absolutely terrified of what comes after life, and the distant future where she will certainly be no more. It's a big world, and time will continue to flow even after her time, and she won't be around to see it. She also does not take kindly to change, and the mere suggestion that she, herself, will change as time passes is something that she'd rather not think about.
Overall Persona: The straight-laced and poised Luminoise is a very level-headed and collected mare. She is quite strict with both her thoughts and actions, and will stick very firmly to the rules set to her. On that point, she dislikes it when others disobeys orders without a well-reasoned, intellectual excuse as to why that command could not be followed through, and will not hesitate to tell them off. Mentally, Luminoise is extremely intelligent, and every thought she passes though her mind is rational and calculated. When shoved into a dire situation, she quickly adds all possibilities of the outcomes in her mind, and calculates the chances of fault until she comes to the least fatal option. Because she often seems to find that she is so much more intelligent than others, this can sometimes lead to her having a tiny bit of a superiority complex, and she strongly believes that as long as she has her cerebral and rational mindset, she can never lose. As such, she can be very confident in herself and her actions; over-confident, in fact. This can lead to her over-analyzing a situation, or basing decisions on her stubborn belief that she's right, often making the bad or wrong choice because of this.
Although her noetic mentality may give off the opposite impression, Luminoise is actually very sweet and good-natured, caring greatly for those around her. If someone is in need of her help, she won't hesitate to lend a hoof - no matter how dangerous the situation. Be warned, though, Luminoise can have quite a short fuse, and will react maliciously if anyone dare cross or hinder either herself or her plans. Though she seems serious and cynical, Luminoise is very capable of loosening up and having fun. In fact, when Luminoise isn't engulfed by her job or something important, she can actually be quite childlike, and loves just chilling with her friends.
It should be noted that Luminoise does not have a strict moral code. In actuality, her sense of morality is quite grey - she's not one-hundred percent good, but she's not malefic either. This leads to her having very different views to others when it comes to the question of right and wrong - her actions may seem immoral to observers, but to Luminoise, it could seem perfectly alright. Luminoise is absolutely terrified of her own mortality, and fears for what comes after life. Nothing gives her more nightmares than the thought of herself fading from existence; falling into an abyss of nothingness and never being able to see, smell, taste, feel and think anymore. She couldn't imagine ceasing to exist; leaving all her loved ones alone and disappearing from the world... Even the mere mention can be too much for Luminoise to bare. Perhaps her fear is the reasoning behind her rationality and dependence on intellect? Who knows.
History/Background:
Luminoise was born to a pair of unicorns in Trottingham. She had a fairly normal childhood; attending school, playing with the other foals and whatnot. On her sixth birthday, her father presented her with a twelve-hole ocarina, which she took to immediately. Each week she would practice her music, learning her favourite lullaby's and creating her own, simple melodies. The young Luminoise never left her house without it, she took the instrument everywhere, and played it whenever she could. It wasn't until the school talent show in her eighth year, however, that the lemon pony would realize that this is what she was born to do. Her mother had spouted words of praise before the show, "you'll brighten the world with your music," she had said, and at the end of her performance, Luminoise passed behind the stage's curtains with a cutie mark printed on her rump.
At thirteen, her little sister was born. The newborn filly gave Luminoise another purpose, and she loved her sister more than anything in the entire world; even more than the music which she played. As her sister grew, it became tradition for the siblings to rest upon the hill beside their home every night, Lumioise playing the various instruments she had collected over the years, but the ocarina was always their favourite. There was never a night that a song was not played on the aged piece of porcelain. Luminoise inspired her sister- she was her hero, and by the time the filly was six, she had discovered her voice. It was then that the sisters began sharing a dream; to travel around and "brighten the world" with their music. That dream, however, was shattered the next year when, one night, Rising Song never arrived on their hill to play their music. She had simply disappeared.
Luminoise searched and searched, even when her parents lost all hope, she still searched, never letting the small glimmer of hope die.
And so, the lemon-and-white mare decided to set off, live their dream and travel the world with her music, bringing joy to others while embarking on her neverending quest for her sister. It's been three years since them.
