-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Singing in front of large crowds or groups, gathering flowers, spending her free time brushing up on her singing skills
Dislikes: General silence, something that she's deeply hated ever since she was a filly.
Motivation: She believes that all ponies are connected through music. Singing is merely one of the forms of which she uses to make these very connections. "Perhaps one day, every-pony across the nation will become one through my song", a quote she has taken to heart once she realized her talent. Due to the already-mentioned quote, Hummingbird has decided to make it her duty to connect every-pony she meets-with each other and herself-with her song. As she ventures across the nation, she believes that she'll find new clues to create the song she needs to truly unify all of Equestria, and as such, she will continue to search until the time where she completes it.
Strengths:
-She can usually find a way to put an end to an argument going on around her, ignoring any attempts to stop her from doing so.
-She can immediately change the tone of her voice to fit any situation, usually to raise it for when she needs to.
-Very patient when dealing with certain matters
-Willing to give others a chance to explain themselves, rather than jump to any conclusions
-Understands a great deal of economic information due to multiple lectures about such a topic from her former manager
Weaknesses/Flaws:
-Her biggest flaw is her temper. She has a great deal of patience to prevent herself from merely letting it explode immediately, but it doesn't change how she still has a very intense temper.
-Another such flaw that exists is that she can easily be seen as too much of a dreamer. This in turn gives ponies the impression that she doesn't take many things seriously, which she honestly doesn't. She prefers living in a fantasy world and isn't able to handle much of the stress that comes with reality.
Fears:
-One of the fears she has is failure. She had always reached for the stars and simply couldn't afford to blow it at any given time, so she eventually came to become an atychiphobe.
-Another such thing that she greatly fears is losing her voice. To her, a voice is everything, and having it disappear for even a moment is frightening.
-While it may seem unusual, she also great fears rejection. She'll do anything in her power to make certain that some-pony accepts who she is and whats she does, but will become deeply worried in cases where she isn't accepted.
Overall Persona: Hummingbird Heartbeat is very similar to some other pop stars; she wants to do her best and try to succeed at all times that she can. She hates being in scornful situations and will usually try to alleviate any tension by utilizing her singing talent and calming down any and all those around her. This mostly stems from a lesson her mother had taught her, that being that songs usually help ponies relax. To others, she comes off as genuinely nice and very concerned towards other affairs, which is only demonstrated whenever she gets involved in the matter an arguing pair or group of ponies. She merely can't help but want to stop fighting when she hears or sees it in the streets, it's completely within her nature to want to stop fighting. Basically, she just wants to soothe all those around her with her melodic tones and even dreams to inspire others to reach for the stars with her motivational pieces. Long story short, she wants to alleviate the world of it's stressful and tension-filled moments and replace that with motivational and very up-lifting feelings, all of which she does through her singing. She treats all others with respect and the most kindness that she can show them, regardless of whether or not the individual in question can be trusted. She isn't naive however, she can and will clue onto any-pony who thinks they can take advantage of her kindness and is capable of finding a very appropriate punishment for them. She is very tolerant to a point, but will refuse to tolerate those taking advantage of her, among those who live only to cause mischief.
History/Background:
Born and raised by musicians, Hummingbird Heartbeat was practically a singing prodigy. She had managed to improve her skills to the point where she could take it up as a profession after she turned 18. From then on, she toured Equestria, singing in front of all kinds of different audiences, most of which included talent judges and critics from all over. She had such potential to make it big, until one unfortunate night. It was the deciding concert for her, and she was incredibly nervous. She didn't want to fail, so she had spent all of the night before without sleep, making her incredibly irritable. It was due to one individual stage-hand making frequent mistakes that she managed to blow her top on stage, running amok in a blind fury around the stage in the process. After doing some time to take anger-management classes, she returned to the circuit, only to find herself being fired for loss of control. With no manager that would...well, manage her, she was unable to continue her career and eventually fell into a slump. With her last few bits, she bought a train ticket and headed to Ponyville, a town with a record for ponies going there for a second chance.
