-General Stuff-
Name: Scribble H. Scrap (The H. stands for 'H'.)
Nickname/Alias(es): Scribbles, Scrappy, Floof.
Race:Earth Pony.
Gender Stallion.
Age: Early Stallion.
Additional Status: Scribble may or may not be infamous. If anything, he might just be telling tall tales about his own fame, and his own life. Always wears some variety of shades, even at night or indoors, to add to that reporter chic. Homosexual, but very far from open about it, even though he's willing to share other, more dire personal details.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Light blue!
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Dark-ish brown hair, often either sloppily groomed or left to just puff out. His tail is actually rather well groomed however, sleek, shiny, and almost as straight as an arrow.
Eye Color: Tan brown.
Cutie Mark: His cutie mark would be a notepad, a pencil floating right by it.
Other Scars/Markings: He has a few scars around his body, though super light to the point where you can barely see them. Has one rather large, obvious scar on his rear though, which he doesn't like to talk about.
Physique: Skinny while working, due to forgoing eating for ingesting more caffeine and writing. Usually more average sized while on a break period, where he binges due to the lack of eating during his working.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence:A high rise apartment in downtown Manehattan.
Job: Freelance investigative reporter, currently running his own newspaper.
Mother: Infamously strict and demanding newsmare, ran many papers in her prime.
Father: Bizarrely stricter and even more demanding publisher. His rigorous tests and standards very much set the bar high for would-be writers.
Sibling(s): Only child. His parents were going to have another, but decided not to, considering how he worked out.
Closest Friends: This should be updated as your pony makes friends!
Courting/Courted By: None.
Mate: None that he's aware of.
Foal(s): He prays not.
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Coffee, Energy drinks, Caffeine tablets, bizarre, unrealistic conspiracy theories, hot cocoa, writing, exposing the truth, being snarky, ritual music, taking hikes, riding trains, hitchhiking, changing minds and hearts.
Dislikes: Stubborn Ponies, his parents (Or so he'd say.), heights, water, cold days, hot days, crowded streets, and whenever you're trying to pass a pony, and they go the same way as you do, so you move the other way and they do the same.
Motivation: To ultimately make the world a better place. He recognizes that he might not be the best person for the job, or the most qualified, but he sincerely believes in the power of the written word, and ultimately, its ability to let people rise above the rest. He's here to write, and he's here to write hard.
Strengths: Extremely determined. Loyal to a fault once he knows you, strangely eloquent despite being crude most of the time. Excellent writer and debater, will stop at nothing to prove a point.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Super cocky and arrogant, severely lacking in common sense, his strange work/sleep habits make him constantly tired or spacey when not on a work binge, has an exceptionally short temper, and often doesn't think things through, and is hesitant to accept the consequences of his actions.
Fears: Water, the Dark (This actually scares him to the point of being crippling, he often has a lot of trouble sleeping even including his awful schedule.), Heights, Supernatural beings.
Overall Personality: He's an unusual, but hardworking pony, even if he does put his work into more unorthodox places. Devoted to his work, almost to the point of being self-sacrificing for it, because he sincerely thinks good journalism is the path to an even better Equestria. While he'd hate to admit it, he has a bit of a savior complex, and almost gets a natural high from being the center of positive attention or doing a good deed, and will often pursue points he finds to be worth chasing for, even if he's ultimately wrong, or the consequences could be potentially dire, often, his sense of social norms and common sense going out the window for that next big scoop. He also tends to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie, seeking the most dangerous scoops and interviews to add to his collection. After all, what's the fun in journalism if you don't stick your neck out once or twice? Towards friends and acquaintances, he occasionally gives off a greedy, self serving air, and often takes a lot from his friends. However, you can expect him to give back twice as much or even more when he's given the chance.
TL;DR: A cocky, arrogant, thrill seeking, caffeine fanatic reporter pony with no sense of personal space, that's also quite self sacrificing and loyal to a fault.
History or Background (Optional) Scribbles was thus raised in a strict home, to say the least. According to him, everything was just "Too neat, too clean, nothing getting done!" and he was taught from day one the power of words. Words could dethrone a king, or have one take the crown, words could make a mouse seem like a dragon, or a dragon seem like the smallest mouse and even believe it too. Soon, Scribbles vowed he was going to take after his parents, using his writing skills to do some variety of good in the world. His eagerness to jump in so quickly actually lead him to run away, eager to pursue his career, and the next big scoop at the cost of leaving his parents and his home. Writing, typing, and doing his best to freelance around, his sense of pride is keeping him from going back to his family. It's likely he won't stop until he manages to find something drastic, something important. Now, he searches all around the big cities and the occasional small town, picking up on new sources all day, every day, until he can find his own scandal to report on. His own Watergate, or Killian Papers, or Fear and Loathing, something to rise him near or above his parents, in the least. He's got a big dream and a bigger resolve for it, after all.
