Midnight scolded Sun harshly for his actions, all of which was completely called-for, considering his actions. She used a great deal of different examples and managed to prove her point effectively enough to force Sun into a temporary state of silence, his mind drinking in the situation with shame. The stallion nodded with a small smile after Midnight set up his punishment, that being that he wasn't allowed to talk to her for at least one hour. Afterwards, she trotted back over to her cousin and fellow pegasus and requested that they cut him some slack.
"Yeah, I guess I give him a break. Everypony makes mistakes" Slipstream stated with a shrug as she crossed her fore-hooves over her chest. "You certainly do, and I can forgive them" Dark Star replied, giving Slipstream a reason to glower at her for a moment. Dark Star merely gave her a coy smile and redirected her attention to Midnight, taking the chance to glance at Sun for a moment as well. "Relationships are always troubling during the beginning. It's only through constant perseverance and communication of emotions that it can truly become wonderful" Dark Star said poetically.
Slipstream snickered at the older mare's words slightly. "This coming from the mare who was seeing another stallion behind her now ex-boyfriend's back?" she inquired. A small tic-mark appeared over Dark Star's head, (as always) annoyed by Slipstream's antics. "For the last time, he and I were nothing more than colleagues working for Canterlot University" she told the younger mare sternly. "Right" Slipstream stated in an unconvinced tone. Dark Star merely sighed and looked back at Midnight, certain that she would be wondering what they were talking about. "I provide notes and unique findings to the university's astronomy department, it's how I make a living" she briefly explained before continuing. "The stallion Slipstream was talking about is a part of the newsletter there, providing a few other things to the university as well. We met one day in Canterlot and have been great friends ever since" she stated while putting emphasis on the word "friends".
