[Race: Zebra
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Additional Status: Speaks with a light Zebrican accent.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: White
Mane/Tail Color and Style: His mane and tail are both black in color, thick and wiry. His tail is brushed, but he has recently grown out his mane from its' usual mohawk so it hangs to his neck, tied off in a ponytail. Zetaan does this in an attempt to blend in; his reasoning being that ponies would be more open to him if he looks less exotic.
Eye Color: Amber.
Cutie Mark: None. His glyph is of a stick of charcoal over a page, with a tribal mask underneath.
Other Scars/Markings: Dark grey zebra stripes.
Physique: Thin, covered in lean muscle he gained from walking the miles and miles in between different villages and towns. Stands slightly more than a head above the average pony; he claims his is an average height for the zebras of his region.
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence: A hotel or inn in the town he is currently traveling through, although he has taken up residence in the homes of several ponies he befriended in his travels.
Job: Historian and storyteller, traveling performer.
Mother: Cazzara, of the tribe Relator
Father: Zetaan does not know who his father is. When he asked, his mother told him a story of a large tribal gathering in which fermented berries were eaten. Cazzara then went on to explain what she referred to as the advanced course on the birds and the bees, at which point Zetaan attempted to drown her out, without success, by screaming. Zetaan regrets asking her about it to this day.
Sibling(s): None.
Other Family: The Relator tribe considers everyzebra in their village family, as well as the traveling merchants that visit often. By blood, he doesn’t know if his mother has any siblings; after asking about his father, Zetaan was too terrified of what might come up if he asked any further.
Closest Friends: Zetaan has been away from the zebra lands for half a decade, and has not seen any of his pre-adventure friends in as long. He has made several acquaintances in his travels, but none he considered close friends.
Courting/Courted By: Nopony (or zebra)
Mate: Nopony (or zebra)
Foal(s): None
-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Telling stories, hearing stories, books, comics, people that tell stories. Loves home cooked meals when he can get them. Prior to his arrival in Equestria, Zetaan had never stepped hoof in a library due to the scarcity of them in Zebrica. The local library is usually one of his first stops when he arrives in a new town.
Dislikes: Anyone ignorant or uncaring of history and culture, especially their own. He isn't very fond of sharks or most berries, and dislikes getting wet and/or being near large bodies of water.
Motivation: Zetaan's greatest passion is his book; a collection of stories he has heard in his travels, all researched to the fullest extent. He wishes to search the known world for the greatest and grandest tales and compile them in one place, to share with his tribe. When he's feeling dramatic, Zetaan calls his travels his quest to learn the lore of the world.
Strengths: Well travelled and versed, Zetaan speaks several languages and dialects thereof. He is skilled at public speaking and a practiced storyteller, often earning money and acquaintances by telling tales in pubs, taverns, and parks. While on the road, he uses a knowledge of woodcraft to avoid starvation.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Normally friendly, when he encounters an ignorant being he reacts angrily. Easily obsessed; he will spend weeks or even months in a single location if he has trouble finding all the details of a certain tale. He cannot swim, despite numerous efforts to learn, and as such is so nervous around water he gets nauseous being near large bodies of water and even dry-docked boats. It hurts Zetaan when members of other species avoid and/or act rudely towards him for being a zebra; while he hasn’t had much trouble with this in Equestria, he has experienced ponies with xenophobic attitudes and mannerisms. His tribe values history and lore above physical strength and material wealth, two things Zetaan severely lacks. While he likes to believe he's become familiar with Equestrian customs, he will sometimes act in ways considered unusual or rude while in the company of ponies. Not intentionally, he just doesn't know any better.
Fears: Zetaan has a deep-rooted fear that someday people will simply stop caring about history. Is also afraid of sharks, although he insists that he only hates them with a burning passion, and drowning, which he inists is justified because chances are if he's going to drown, there will be sharks nearby.
Overall Persona: Zetaan is a globetrotter through and through. Equestria is only his latest adventure, following his travels through Zebrica in his search for stories. He is as good at listening as he is at speaking, often trading stories with the ponies he meets for Zebra tales. Zetaan is very passionate about his book, wishing to collect the greatest stories in the world to share with his tribe. Born into a tribe that values lore and history above physical strength or wealth, Zetaan hopes that completing his book will send his name into his village’s historical poems, honoring his ancestors and earning a title for his future descendants. Honor is held in high regard among the Relator tribe; while it isn’t the driving force behind his journey, it helped nudge Zetaan in the direction he took knowing that could earn a poetic title for his family. He misses his home dearly, but finds comfort in the company of ponies in the taverns and pubs he performs in. He gets along famously with ponies that share a love of literature, but frowns upon those that don't. Gets into trouble sometimes for his performances; he doesn't mean to, when it does happen it's only because he isn't aware of local ordinances regarding public performances. His first action when he first arrives in a new town or village, after a trip to the local library, is to find a spot in either a park or bar. He then sets up his sign, a small chunk of plywood with 'Ask a Zebra/Hear a Story' written on it. This is how he often covers his traveling expenses; ponies would ask him a question, throw a few bits into his small cookpot, and he would regale them with facts about zebras, either himself or zebras in general, or stories from his homeland. Zetaan is a friendly, open zebra that one should take the opportunity to talk to if they get the chance; odds are, he won't be where you saw him for very long.

Hi! Zetaan here is the first pony-related OC I've made, and among the first characters I hope to roleplay with. If there's anything that should be changed or added, lemme know and I'll hop right to fixing him up into tip-tip roleplaying shape
