-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
Eirlynn loves experimentation; specifically, with her body art. She makes a living using her own created oils to paint on herself and others, leaving vibrant, colorful designs that last for two whole weeks. Each of her oils are made from an assortment of plants, either one or many combined, that she finds along her travels. A wanderer at heart, she enjoys venturing into the unknown for curiosity's sake, finding satisfaction from an environment's beauty to discovering long-lost treasure. She gets the greatest pleasure, however, if she benefits for her endeavors. She also loves literature and music, which she conveys in writing and singing her own poetic ballads. Anything that inspires her is written down in a tiny notebook that she refers to at the end of the day; sleepless nights are spent creating ballads from a sole idea. And, of course, she loves orange sherbet ice-cream with blueberries.
In regards to other ponies, Eirlynn likes those that don't disturb her "me time". She takes an immediate liking to those that enjoy her work, offering discounts to her most loyal customers. She respects opportunistic, hardworking, and independent ponies who strive for their own goals. She also likes ponies with wealth, or those who provide her with the means of gaining wealth.
Motivation:
She's not sure. She doesn't consider any of her skills as "life-defining", and so travels Equestria to figure out what is. She also hopes to become wealthy and live a comfortable life.
Strengths:
- Calm; she can keep a clear head in most stressful situations.
- Patient; she's dealt with enough dye failures that she can tolerate a lot of things for a long time.
- Creative.
- Adventurous; if opportunity awaits, she's the first to volunteer. She's brave and daring enough to go anywhere new.
- Level-headed and honest; she's well aware of what's going on. She won't crush your dreams, but she'll certainly point out the flaws of how you'll achieve them.
- Loyal.
- Greed; she always tries to get an extra bit or two out of her customers. She'll work for bits, she'll get down and dirty for bits, and she'll make a complete fool out of herself if it'll net her those lovely bits.
- Dislikes the weak, the meek, and the pathetic. She can't stand them. She'll be completely rude to them if they get on her nerves.
- Prone to making snide comments when the opportunity occurs.
- A cocky hypocrite, and liar at times. She'll boast and antagonize yet chicken out immediately if challenged.
- Will not follow, and does not like, orders.
- No freedom.
- Not being unique.
- Phonophobia.
Eirlynn is an independent survivor and a spirit of freedom. She loves being unrestricted, happy that she has her entire fate in her hooves. She travels wherever she pleases whenever she wants with no one to keep her down. Her severe lack of commitments, however, leaves her life feeling rather empty and lonely. Envious of the friendships around her, she is extremely loyal to the few she has/will have. In addition, her lackadaisy lifestyle is due to having no cutie mark to define her life. In truth, she began her wandering of Equestria to find her purpose; without it, she lives life simply trying to get by. Her interests and talents serve for personal entertainment and to gain bits, hoping to strike big while discovering who she is. Her desires for adventure are fueled by curiosity and greed, intending to amass wealth while cherishing every moment along the way. Excitement drives her to volunteer in excavations, usually because she expects to get something out of them. Her means of attaining wealth aren't always ethical—and her rude behaviors aren't very appealing—but, regardless, she is a well-meaning pony. She willingly offers honest and realistic advice to others and encourages others' dreams, to an extent. In fact, she loves and respects those willing to go beyond their limits while deeply scorning those who don't, because of her upraising. She treats “inferiors” as annoyances needing immediate shaping up—which she'll gladly instruct. At the end of the day she simply wants others to be the best they can be, despite expressing this desire with the wrong methods.
Blueberry Sherbet is the second eldest of four children and the elder twin sibling of Whole Grain, born into a family of Earth Ponies. Her mother was absent for a majority of her foalhood, working in Manehattan to provide for the family. The responsibility of raising the twin foals was left to her father and their eldest brother Rocky Hills, who recently became a teenager. The close connections that established between the four of them embedded both physical and emotional strength within Blue. She worked with her family in the wheat business, learning the trade of harvesting winter wheat. The blazing, virtually endless hours in the large wheat fields made her neck, back, and legs ache, but inevitably made them stronger. Her father preferred the old ways of harvesting over the newer technologies available, as the bits the family earned were used solely for necessities; this is the source of Blue's desire for money. It was Rocky, however, who gave Blueberry the idea that the weak would never make it in life. Appearing as the epitome of strength and independence, he was rather strict about standing on one's own hooves; he refused to help the twins on tasks he felt they could handle at certain ages, forcing them to solve their own problems. As a powerful stallion, Rocky made sure his siblings stayed in top physical condition. The twins often fought against Rocky to prove their strength—only to end up beaten instead. Regardless of his harsh love, Blue looked up to him, even after Rocky fell in love and moved away to live on his own farm.
Swirly Plow, aware of her estrangement from her children, attempted connections by bringing the twins with her to Manehattan when she could. Having lived on the farm for most of their lives, suddenly entering the city life was a whole new world. Hating the lack of space and freedom, Blue adapted much quicker than her brother and came to love it. Here she realized her fear of loud noises and her destined love with her beloved dessert, as well as her interest in the various arts. She learned her mother's trade, watching how Swirly dealt with clients and created her art pieces, once being taken to an art show. Blue felt compelled to make art of her own. One night, hoping to surprise her mother, Blue used Swirly's supplies to create a “masterpiece” the entire night. Swirly Plow awoke to an enormous mess: a majority of her paint was wasted, spilled all over the room, with Blue's canvas an utter failure. Ironically Blueberry ended up the masterpiece, beautifully covered in a vibrant display of color and design. Though furious, Swirly delighted over her daughter's clear fate with art. Together they cleaned the studio as Swirly taught Blue about the art world, as well as how to make home-made paint with the earth. Swirly also taught her children how to read and write since they didn't go to school.
Late into her foalhood Blueberry had yet to gain her cutie mark, despite her growing love for painting. She grew bored with canvases and made a habit of painting on herself—a habit which eventually stuck. She thought of making a real business out of painting on bodies, however this was seen as childish and unsophisticated in the adult world. Her skills were recognized enough to be hired at birthday parties to paint on faces, but she saw this as insult. When her family began to “help” by steering her to different careers, she refused to falter and distanced herself from them. Her only hope rested on Polka Dot, on whom she gave her love and affection by painting on him. Eventually Blueberry felt she was going nowhere in life and left home to seek her destiny, adopting the name 'Eirlynn' along the way.
