-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Having a love for anything wacky or weird (and usually just working with it into her clothes) she enjoys a good walk into junk and gadget shops, looking for anything that could possibly get her more publicity for her strange style. She loves bright colours and tends to ignore what’s currently trending in fashion and because she would rather make her own outfits and shine elegantly in them. She loves to stand out and even if no-one notices her all the time, she always takes pride in thinking that she certainly cam pull off an outfit better than any other. Whilst being mostly bright and bold, she also has a love for anything spooky or scary so that she can work it into her designs, and frequently visits places like museums, art houses, galleries or costume shops for inspiration onto her latest cosmetic attires. She does love to be pampered somewhat, and sometimes lets fame go to her head because of her nature. She loves her parents and their business more than most things in the world, and would do anything for them. She enjoys spending time with her friends or her agent, and despite him being snobby sometimes, she cannot help but love him since he has been there for her.
Dislikes: She finds it horrible to see other ponies in pain or sad due to poverty, and is known to donate a lot of her money to charities organising themselves to defeat homelessness or poverty. She point-blank refuses to go outside unless she feels as though she has been fully dressed, and dislikes it when other ponies criticise her clothing as that is her work. She finds physical violence cruel and sickening and frequently advertises in promotional materials for anti-violence campaigns. She dislikes being called stupid or ugly specifically, and was bullied when she was younger for the way she looked and because she wasn’t a particularly intelligent pony.
Motivation: Being born into a very poor family, Lolly knew she would have to do her best to make her place in the world, and when she was younger, she was slightly underweight for her age and disliked her appearance with a great foil. Being bullied at school because she was poor and a little messy, she eventually burst through the seams when she got older, going on to be a model. She wants to be an inspiration for young ponies all over and show them that just because you’re down on your luck now, doesn’t mean that you’re not worthy of anything and she wishes to be a “Role ‘Model’” to young ponies to aspire to.
Strengths: Being a creative and “outsider thinker” type of pony, she excels at most media when it comes to making clothing or painting from very bear necessities, to massive tons of media, she built her career as a model flaunting her bizarre look and outlandish designs, she is a hard-working and honest pony with wonderfully aspiring hopes for her life. She is dedicated to her family and friends and works hard for them, despite being away a lot.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Sometimes a little hard to get along with, Lolly is known for her ridiculously dramatic outbursts and “characters” that she uses when in certain costumes. She does her best to hide her private life and her celebrity life, dressing down only to go to her parent’s house, and wearing sunglasses to hide her eye, and conceal her identity, and as such she sometimes pushes others away. Sometimes her wishes to help other, poorer ponies cause disasters for her, as ponies will take advantage of her grief and fake poverty or homelessness to extort money from her. She is incredibly gullible, and tends to believe every pony is as honest and straightforward as she is, and believes a lot of things she probably shouldn’t. She sometimes comes across as bossy or arrogant, but that’s due to her slightly pampered lifestyle, and she quickly comes down from her cloud when she is corrected, and apologises for it. She is terribly self-conscious for a model, but only when she is “out of costume”, believing her mane and her coat to be “ugly” and “hideous” as she was always told in school.
Fears: She is deathly afraid of slipping up and disappointing her fans and losing her positive role model title, she doesn’t want to be seen as a pony who thinks she is greater than anypony else. She also has a generic and simply embarrassing fear of the dark that she very rarely reveals to ponies, and usually just refuses to go places in darkness.
Overall Persona: A loud and eccentric famous model with a very creative background and a set of loving parents, Lolly is a eccentric and crazy model who has an undying love for other, less fortunate ponies. Coming from a background of poverty, she grew up, attaining a name as a role model which she would hate to loss. Although sometimes she can be a little bit hard to get along with, she is a loving and caring mare with an affinity for everypony. She revels in her eccentric style and her whole model persona comes with a “character”, in which she pretends to have a personality-type disorder that gives her the ability to change her character style and voice very quickly, but always maintaining who she is. She can be childish at times, and is very melodramatic and theatrical in most of her delivery of just everyday speech. She loves to grab the spotlight and get a little bit of attention, but being in it too much causes her to need a calm down, and when given too much attention she is known to get slightly snobby and rude. She is reliable and fashion-forward, paving the way for her own modelling career by designing and making all her outfits herself, she is a cheerful individual who enjoys hard work and perfect idea of relaxation would be to just chill out and enjoy a well-deserved rest. She believes that all ponies are equal and will always stand by that.
She is loving, caring and has a very low affinity for anyone causing distress onto other ponies, and sometimes a little bit short-tempered, she would give up everything she had for those she loved.
History/Background: When she was younger, she was bullied because her family were very poor and her parents’ business wasn’t selling too well. As she used to wear glasses, have a messy mane and didn’t have her cutie mark, she was bullied mercilessly by other ponies in her class. But during this time, she was never alone as her younger cousin Jelly would always be by her side to help her through the darker parts; but she always envied the beauty of Jelly’s mane and eye colour, whilst hers were “boring and brown”. When they were very young, Lolly begged Jelly to use a spell to change her eye colour to a pretty turquoise colour just like hers, that way she could feel special, just like Jelly and look as pretty as she did; although initially unsure, Jelly cast a spell onto Lolly , not really knowing what she was doing, changing’s Loli’s eyes into a beautiful green colour, to which she thanked her cousin thoroughly with. But it didn’t take more than a few moments before her left eye began to distort and look strange, eventually changing into a spiral-like shape. Terrified initially, Lolly wasn’t sure what to do, and the young fillies told their parents who immediately rushed Lolly to the hospital. The doctors told her that her eyes were fine, and Lolly insisted that her sight was actually better than ever, and she finally dropped the cursed glasses she always had to wear. She was inspired by her new look, and started to design costumes for her new “crazy eye” from scraps of materials left around town, or by friends and family who found them for her. She finally began to build some confidence until when in her late teens, she started experimenting with dying her pelt and mane, or wearing wigs of eccentric styles to make herself stand out, and it was during this time that her beauty began to shine clearly, and whilst in Manehattan with her parents one day, a talent scout stopped her in the street due to her fair beauty and eccentric style and asked her to strike a pose. With incredible poise and grace, he was immediately smitten and took a photo, before rushing to his boss with this wonderful and wacky new pony. In no time at all, she had a began to get critical success, as she designed and made her own costumes and only at this point in her life, a very late bloomer, did she attain her cutie mark, a delicate Lollipop, standing for her beautiful and delicate look whilst attaining her crazy style and eye. Finally proud of who she was and who she could be, she launched into her full “model” career, wanting to be an inspiration for young ponies all over Equestria, proving that they are always worth more than they think.
