-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
Playing Cards-There is nothing that Lucky Draw like better than a good game of cards with experienced players. He loves the thrill of not knowing how his luck will turn out, and will try to get other ponies to play as long as possible.
Cities- Cities mean that there is bound to be games as well as temporary job for him to take on.
Challenges- Lucky Draw seeks out challenges, and tests his luck whenever he can, leading to him sometimes getting in over his head.
Winning- Need it be explained?
Spicy food- Over time, during his wandering, he has tested many different kinds of food, and found out that he prefers spicy food over all others.
Dislikes:
Losing- again, simple reason.
Cheaters- One way to find out the angry side of Lucky, you only need to cheat in a game against him. He believes that cheating is simply messing with luck, and that is a grievous crime. And he will get revenge...
Bland food- No taste, no interest from him.
Motivation:To live his life going on with the flow of Luck/Fate/Destiny.
Strengths:When Lucky says he is going to do something, you can bet that it shall be done, for he will stop at nothing to complete the job. He is also very open to new ideas and willing to try new things to get his adrenaline and blood pumping. He is loyal once you have proven that you are worthy of his attention and friendship, but is not unkind.
On to the cards!
Lucky is extremely proficient at all forms of card games, be it Equestrian-Hold-Em or something as simple as Go Fish. He is also an excellent teacher, since he knows many of the tricks, hands, and bluffs that are used in the game, not to mention he is also talented when it comes to spotting tells, or small bits of body movement that give away how they are feeling.
He is also quite adept at using his special tarot deck that he has, giving him a sight into fate to give advice and tell the future of ponies. Unfortunately the fates don't usually like to give him a serious view, and give him useless information for the most part.
Over time he has gotten into many fights with ponies that have lost to him, so he has learned how to fight in no time at all. He is quite able to defend himself, and will resort to dirty fighting if the opponents are not showing any sign of leaving him alone.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Lucky draw is also confident in his abilities to the point of complete rashness of playing games and betting more than he has, which has led to being run out of inns and hotels during his losing streaks.
When Lucky is said to not be able to turn down challenges, he literally cannot when they are luck based, otherwise he suffers from impulses to take them on, even when he completely out of his league. He cannot stay in one location for too long, due to his need to wander. He also is not exactly the most caring pony, coming off as grumpy and mean to ponies when they first know him.
Fears:He fears that at some point in the future, fate will turn against him. He won't be able to see it coming, not even hints from his cards, and this will lead to all odds being against him. And when he needs his luck the most, it will run out.
Overall Persona:
Lucky Draw is the pony that wanders into town, visiting any inns, hotels, and cider houses that the town has, looking for his ideal environment. Upon finding the table that ponies are sitting around, exchanging laughs, stories and money, all while seeing who is the luckiest that night. This is where he sticks around for the next few days, playing games with any who would dare challenge the Card Master.
That being said, Lucky Draw is the most luck obsessed pony that has ever trotted through the doors of inns across Equestria, always recognized by those that he has visited before by his hat, smile and trademark aura of confidence that follows him. When he enters a room with a game being played, not matter the point at which the game is at, he is in.
When it comes to actually knowing him, and not just knowing Of him, he is a pony with many secrets. He tends to appear gruff and mean, but this is simply because he doesn't trust almost anypony. At any time the pony he could consider his friend could turn against him, and he doesn't want to have to justify to himself why he has to hurt a formerly friendly face.
One way to get on his good side is to join him for a game, and prove that you are either a worthy opponent or that you are willing to have him teach you. If you accept defeat gracefully, he is more likely to actually admire you than if you were to start getting angry and making excuses. And if you are looking to start a fight with him.... be prayin' that you came prepared.
