-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Values honesty above all else. His main interests lie in unusual ailments and magical curiosities that might elude less curious ponies. He will frequently be found out and about in Ponyville, investigating something that has caught his attention. He loves music and animals of most kinds, and has great respect for all things natural, good or bad. He believes strongly in self-discipline and independence and often exercises such beliefs through endurance running, though understands the need to trust in others and will enjoy team activities when he believes teamwork will be useful.
Dislikes: Discriminative and self-centered people, seeing excessive self-pity almost as negatively as boasting. He dislikes competitive sports and competitions, seeing them as a pointless show of physical prowess that could be used more practically and effectively elsewhere. He also strongly opposes abuse or waste of unicorn magic, and anyone that says he is abusive or inefficient with his own.
Motivation: Both of his parents were keen teachers, and as a result of this he has been raised from birth to succeed academically. However, as he developed a stronger social life his learning became more and more disrupted, until eventually he decided he would do better in an environment where he could apply his knowledge and continue learning, whilst still being socially active. He eventually hopes to become a full-time doctor, wishing to reside in either the Crystal Empire or Ponyville.
Strengths: Quite smart and reasonable with an abstract imagination, he has a strong grasp on spells involving conjuring and illusion or anything that doesn't currently physically exist. Due to a lot of practice he also has a high physical endurance for a pony of his size and strength, and due to his studies he knows cures for many illnesses and ailments. He has a good and clear memory, and likes to give everyone and everything a chance before coming to a decision, rather than believing general beliefs or following stereotypical views. He is good with foals, his experience dealing with his young cousins proving to have been of use after all.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Struggles with any magic that directly affects something already visible, finding anything above basic menial tasks such as writing and moving small objects near impossible. He also has a tendency to shy away from questions about himself that he doesn't wish to answer, not wishing to lie for his own sake, even if it does cause trouble which could have otherwise been avoided. He can be slow to forgive due to his vivid memory, his usually trusting nature towards his friends making betrayal of that trust all the more difficult to deal with.
Fears: He is claustrophobic and therefore struggles to deal with crowds. His general fears include those of heights and insects, though usually he will give anything a chance, not to be daring but simply to enjoy life to it's full potential.
Overall Persona: Overall he is a reasonably well-rounded pony. Although worried by large crowds and being in enclosed spaces with many ponies, he does not have confidence issues when addressing other ponies and likes the company of others, finding himself motivated by the happiness of his friends and anyone he affects. However, he can be unpredictable. Despite often demonstrating empathy he can lack patience and will frequently overreact, expecting the worst when people speak dishonestly, act mysteriously or give ambiguous answers to any simple questions that he asks.
He is often mistaken for being shy, as he usually will not speak unless first spoken to. This is partially true as he does usually remain quiet when out and about, but he has no real issues with other ponies, knowledge of his own strengths and limitations giving him confidence but not to the point of being arrogant or obnoxious. His quiet nature is usually instead caused by his mind being focused on a specific task.
It is common for him to be distracted by his own thoughts in such a way, focusing a little too much on what is going on in his head rather than the company he is keeping. However this is not due to rudeness, he simply finds it hard to pull himself away from mental tasks and thought processes. He is a sweet pony, often trying to please others with small little tokens of affection. These are not always physical gifts, nor are they always given to ponies which he feels attraction to. They are merely gifts to show he cares for them.
History/Background: Born and raised in Canterlot by his parents, both keen teachers. He spent most of his young life learning, but as time went on his social life began to take up most of his time and his studies became a second priority, though he managed to keep up with most other students of the same age nonetheless. He did eventually realise that he was no longer doing as well as he should and devoted more of his time again to his studies, but his friends began to become more distant. He eventually decided that his studies were becoming too repetitive and chose to move to Ponyville in the hopes that a change of scenery would improve his grades, and allow him to make new friends who might be more tolerant of his sometimes time-consuming studying.
