I had this one brewing at the back of my head, and just had to make him. I just couldn't think up a name, but finally figured one out.

Other Scars/Markings: He has a few scratches on his hind legs and forelegs, but nothing significant.

Likes: Onyx Bass enjoys being the center of attention, and hoarding the attention of the mares mostly. He's a charmer and loves basking in their applause. He also likes to play pranks on other ponies when the mood strikes him, and having a few good laughs with others. He absolutely loves playing his guitar and practicing any chance that he gets. All music types inspire him, and he's always looking for something to inspire him to create great music. He's mostly a fan of rock and roll music, but he'll mellow out to classical tunes as well. Oh - and of course, he likes the ladies. Always looking for someone to charm and flirt with. He's also fond of traveling, so that he can spread his music across all of Equestria. After all, he's beginning to gain some recognition amongst the ponies - a small following/fan group has been created and is steadily expanding.
Dislikes: Being ignored. He hates it. Despises it. Can't stand to be ignored. And if he is... well, he'll do what he can to get your attention. Unless he's not in the mood, then he'll just go find someone else to give him that attention he wants. He wants to be recognized nationally, and if no one recognizes him he'll make it his point to have them remember him. He also doesn't like snobby/snooty ponies. Canterlot, mainly... They think, just because they have money they can behave whatever way they can. And here is Onyx Bass, an artist starving for attention and funds from wherever he can get just to live-survive. (might be a bit dramatic, but he can be a little bit of a drama 'king'). He also dislikes it when his mane is messy. Or if he's missing his sunglasses. He needs them, like he needs the air to breath.
Motivation: His motivation is to provide fun and entertainment to ponies all across of Equestria. He loves the attention, but he also loves music. And he wants to share his songs with everypony. That is basically what keeps him going. Even the mares.
Strengths: He's really good at what he does - playing music and creating music. He loves rock and roll and just playing tunes, both existing and improv, are what he lives for. He's an addict to his desires, always needing to fill in the emptiness in his heart that is always growing when the last song just isn't good enough. He wants to keep improving himself and create music that is fun, crazy even, and unforgettable (not epic, but at least a tune that ponies can rock-out to).
He also has a way with the ladies - a real charmer, good looks, and smiles. He's the bad-boy that girls know they shouldn't hang out with, but are weakened at the knees because they can't help but want to be with him. He is able to grab a hold of their attention and keep them there. Before they know it, he's gone and moved onto some other pony.

Sure, he's a bit of a narcissistic kind of pony, a little bit vain and can be ignorant. He doesn't really think of the consequences that his actions will cause. He says whatever is on his mind, and will speak his heart out if he must - even if this breaks hearts in the process. He has a habit of getting into fights - play fighting and even serious. He usually doesn't want to, but it's kind of in his nature being a rough-and-tumble kind of young stallion.
Fears: He fears that no one will love him. That no pony will love his music, or take him seriously. He doesn't want to be put into the shadows - he's a limelight pony. If anyone steals it from him, that will make him all the more competitive. He also fears commitments. For some reason, he just can't picture himself being serious and steady with some pony. If it happens, it will really take him off guard. Onyx Bass also fears making a fool of himself, or messing up on stage while doing a performance. If a mistake is done, he can never forgive himself. He goes into deep depression because of the blunder and it will take him some time before he comes around to start over again.
He also fears the Everfree Forest - I mean, which pony doesn't? It's the one place he will never go near. What if something should happen to him? No pony would be happy with that if their music is gone!

Overall Persona: Onyx Bass is a self-motivated pony. His parents are Unicorns and have always believed that being a Unicorn is the purest thing of all. They are quite racist in these terms, thinking themselves better than anypony else. He has made it his goal to prove them wrong and make sure that every pony in all of Equestria knows his name and that even some pony like him can make it in the world - it doesn't have to mean that you are 'pure' or 'rough'. He just wants to have fun and live life to it's fullest, and because of this he has prankster tendencies. He never wants to hurt any pony, oh no - he loves to laugh and have a good joke. If some pony is hurt, he will fight for them. Maybe this is why he gets into a fight and ends up being the one that gets hurt the most. He is also an attention hoarder. He loves the spot light and will try to steal it if he can. He can't stand it if somepony else is getting the applause and not him. This just goes against what he is trying to do - to prove that he can be famous and better known than his parents. He does try to teat every pony equally - a little distaste with unicorns, but he tries to be fair because he knows not every pony is like his parents. He wants to be a good role model for his little brother, and to teach him the right things.
Onyx Bass is also a bit of a flirt and charmer - he just loves to hang out with pretty mares and compliment them. He has a way of getting to their hearts without realizing that he's going to do any damage in the end. And this is because he's afraid of committing to a relationship. Maybe, somewhere out there, is the right mare for him. But for now, he's just happy making another pony happy.

Onyx Bass comes from a family of Unicorns in Canterlot. He has a younger brother who is also a Unicorn, and still a colt. His father is a spokespony for an advertising agency, and his mother is a fashion magazine editor. They are rich and very snobby, but Onyx Bass is the odd one out here in his family. They are always mentioning how it is their unlucky fortune that Onyx was born to their family an Earth Pony with no magical abilities like them. It was just something he was grown up listening to, and he always got into fights with the fillies in school because of that. His distaste in the 'pureness' of being a Unicorn has disgusted him so much that he finally discovered that the way to prove them wrong was to become famous. Just as famous as his parents are. And to prove to them that even a pony without magical abilities can make it somewhere in the world. And so, this is where he began working on his love for music and the need to be loved and famous. He never got that love that parents should give to their fillies, so he is always on the search for it from his fans - his audience. He wants to feel like he belongs, and wants them to celebrate his success and talent for who he is - not what he is.
