-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Any form of mystery, be it a book or task; These are the main reason he does what he does. Challenges of the Mind, Such as complex puzzles, Chess, or any real task that requires a fair amount of thought. Likes chess more than most other games, as he enjoys occasionally pitting his own mind against his opponents.
Dislikes: Paradoxial Questions (Refer to Weaknesses) Such as "Would a set of all sets contain itself?" as he finds it difficult to provide an answer to them. Puns are a similar case, as he finds it annoying when he needs to respond to two separate meanings to a single word, which again is difficult for him. Also strongly dislikes abandoning a case he has been given, as he is quite determined and stubborn about completing his assignments.
Motivation: Chronicle Sleuth believes that with the dawning of the sun each day, at least one question is created: He also believes that if a question can be answered, it should be, resulting in his motivation to wake up each day to solve the newly-created puzzle out there somewhere.
Strengths: Exceptionally good at analysing and deduction, to the point where he can work out a surprisingly large amount about a pony after a first glance and a brief chat. Often sticks to a task until it is completed, again due to his belief that a question should not remain unanswered.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Has a variant of Pseudologia fantastica: Unlike regular cases of the mental disorder, he has an 'inverted' form of it, meaning he has extreme difficulty (if he is at all able ) lieing. Due to this, it is very easy to obtain information from him, which makes him the last person to entrust a secret to. However, he is capable of revealing only part of a truth (E.g 'What is your name?' 'Chronicle.') and has also been shown to be capable of using an obvious truth as a reply (E.g. 'Who are you related to?' 'I am related to my relatives') and has also adapted to use a personal truth as an answer to questions he doesn't want to answer. (E.g. 'Where are you going?' 'I do not want to say.') His strength of having to complete tasks has also been a severe weakness, as it will often drive him to overwork himself to the point of collapsing.
Fears: An impossible case, and that his mental condition may one day be his undoing.
Overall Persona: Chronicle is what could be easily described as obsessed over solving whatsoever case he is assigned to. His analytical and deductive skills are tuned to the point where he can easily work out where somepony was three hours ago simply by their apparel, and is also capable of understanding the different ways different ponies interact, enabling him to discover his relations between each other. While under usual circumstances he cares very little about his appearance, he does seem to have an aesthetic liking towards his bubble-blowing pipe (Shaped like a tobacco pipe, like the ones Sherlock Holmes used.) Which he "obtained as a distracting gimmick one day." His mood can often be deciphered from the amount of bubbles he is blowing: very few usually means he is bored, while he will blow very harshly into the pipe if he is frustrated. He holds a strong dislike for those who easily give up on a task, but strongly likes those who often loose things, or are themselves lost, as it usually results in something to do. He is quite trustworthy whenever he speaks due to his inability to lie, which is one of the reasons he is often chosen as a Stenotyper for important events, however you can sometimes tell by his wording or tone if he is withholding information. If he is bored he will often be found waiting in a public area with a completely and correctly set-up chessboard, however due to his skills he often deciphers his opponents plans and successfully counters them, but there have been occasions where his opponents followed no plan whatsoever and randomly moved pieces, which by pure luck landed him into checkmate. He seems to prefer to travel by train, but is still willing to travel by hoof and has a portable tent with him at all times, should he be unable to find an establishment to stay at.
Note: This guy will be replacing "Heavyweight Dash" if he's accepted.
