Nickname/Alias(es): Prefers to use Lupus as his name, and goes by two alias': Lu and Loops.
Race: Unicorn.
Gender: Male.
Age: Teenager, so about 18 years old in human age.
Additional Status: He is never seen without his satchel with contains his journal and other writing items.

Mane/Tail Color and Style: His mane and tail and rather short and are a cerulean colour, with noticeable blonde streaks.
Eye Color: Pink.
Cutie Mark: An inkwell and quill.

Physique: Well built but in no way strong or muscular.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: His main like and interest is to write, and also to draw. He loves to write, hoping to become an author, and his drawing are often illustrations to his book. He likes to read, often taking up any opportunity to study other writing styles to improve his own writing. He likes to socialise. Lupus has a small liking to the night, because at this time he can focus on writing without distractions. Music, what pony doesn't love music? He likes to go on small adventures, although only for writing purposes, of course.
Dislikes: Presumptuous people and those who are prejudice. He also hates crowded areas highly populated with mainly females, due to his inability to communicate with them in a normal fashion. Talking to females is a minor dislike of his too, due to his inability to communicate freely with them. He hates it when a book, and more strongly his own book, are talked about in a negative way that is far more rude than mere constructive criticism, or are treated incorrectly.
Motivation: He wishes to be a great writer, wanting to travel all over Equestria to write tales about the people he meets and document their stories, and also find inspiration to write his own tales of adventure, using the tales of the area and his own experiences to write the perfect book.
Strengths: Writing and to a lesser extent drawing. Being able to see rather well in the dark. Can go for extended periods of time without sleep. He gets along with the elderly.
Weaknesses/Flaws: He is somewhat hypocritical, being a tad presumptuous himself. He finds it hard to talk to females and also may freak out if forced into a situation where he must talk to or be close to a female he does know, such as being trapped in a room with a female pony. This is only with ponies of similar age, those much younger, or older than he do not affect him. He tends to be rather touchy about his book and often takes criticism to heart and can respond rudely in these cases. He often misunderstands things and gets into negative situations.
Fears: Being forced to talk to female ponies that he is not used to, or may have not have met already, heights and having himself and his book rejected by people.
Overall Persona: Mercury Lupus is an independent pony who will only ever ask for help as a last resort, and is kind enough to offer help. Lu will not often offer the help though, and must be asked to help, otherwise he will assume you can handle it. He has a very analytical way of thinking and sees everything as numbers and chance rather than set in stone and 'already decided'. He can be rather hypocritical often doing some of the things he says he hates but always means well in his actions. Lu is prone to making sarcastic comments and can cause people to misunderstand his intention of lightening to the mood and react negatively. He is often found butting heads with other males about a point of view which he does not share with them, being very stubborn in personal views, however a difference in opinion does not bother him when faced with mares. His fear overrides his ability to share his opinions. Although he likes company of any horse his nervousness sometimes gets the best of him, and he will often, if not all the time, avoid conversing with female ponies. Once introduced a female pony, this nervousness seems to disappear and he can converse without issue. He tries not to boast but when talking about his accomplishments he can get carried away and start to seem overbearing. He is also very sensitive in terms of this book and drawings, seeing most pieces of constructive criticism as an attempt to pull his work to pieces.
History/Background: Lu comes from Fillydelphia, travelling to Ponyville to find new stories to record. He was raised by his parents with lots of support to his hobbies and because of this his love for writing increased, it is because of this large amount of support that he is rather independent now. The origin of his seemingly strange name comes from the fact that his parents looked nothing like Lupus. They were reasonably dark pelted ponies, and that is why he was named 'Mercury'; after the metal that is unlike others in its own family.
There isn't much else to put, he had a great childhood, eating grass and chilling with some of the ponies he knew.
