-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Sweets, a nice cup of tea, watching the sun rise and set, when his professor tries to make his lectures interesting and fails hilariously, rainy days, seeing foals at play, reading, and taking walks.
Dislikes: When his magic spazzes(it happens when he's nervous), bratty foals, pranks/pranksters, horror novels, wildfire(he lost a friend in a fire once), when his professor tries to pronounce a word he can't understand, loud music(WAY too loud), loud colors, and seeing someone innocent get hurt.
Motivation: The thought of entertaining and entrancing ponies everywhere with his writing and poetry gives him the get-up-and-go, even late at night, to head to his writing desk and get to work.
Strengths: Writing, his magic(he's good, but incomparable to Twilight), cooking(a guy has a eat, right?), sight perception(he can see a bit further, wider, and shaper than most....but only a bit), stealth, and quick-thinking.
Weaknesses/Flaws: When his magic/horn spazzes, speed(not so good at running), short temper, leadership skills, sense of direction(he can get lost in places that seem unfamiliar at first glance but actually are familiar), and dexterity(he is not good at holding two or things at once with his magic).
Fears: Fires, Drowning, Being alone forever, Lightning, Dogs biting at him, and very dark places.
Overall Persona: Thorn is a more quiet stallion amongst his colleagues, preferring poetry and cooking over more 'masculine' pursuits. He is, not surprisingly, a bit of a romantic, especially when searching for that certain somepony. As far as friends go(which he has yet to make), he is quite loyal and willing to go to any length to protect them; this also leads to his zero-tolerance of bullying. He is quite passionate towards his studies as well as his writing(he's even in the process of publishing his first work!), which gives him the reputation of a 'nerd' or, in some extreme cases, a 'recluse'. However, should he, his writings, or his friends be insulted, it's a wise decision to run and hide in a place he wouldn't dare to go; his temper, to say the least, is quite......ugly. But, overall, he is definitely somepony to have an ally or someone to talk to; he is willing to listen to any problem that ails and, well, tries to find a way to help.
