-General Stuff-
Name:
"My name is Blue Pen everyone!"
Nickname/Alias(es):
"Sometimes people call me Blue, or Bluppy, but you know, there's nothing wrong with Blue Pen. However, on all the covers of my books I write B. Pen. I makes me look more professional you know?"
Race:
"I'm a unicorn. Always have been, probably always will be."
Gender:
"Can't you tell? I'm obviously a stallion!"
Age:
"Though I prefer not to say, I'm a middle aged stallion, in my late thirties if you must know,"
Additional Status:
"Most days I wear my spectacles on my head, and a cozy scarf around my neck, it gets cold you know. I am a famous author, and I'm sure most of you have read at least one or my spectacular novels,"
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color:
"I particularly think it it a very nice shade of dappled blue. Yes, that's right, dappled. And please don't confuse that with freckles. I DON"T have freckles. Dappled."
Mane/Tail Color and Style:
"My mane and tail are ink black and glossy. I usually gel back my mane and let my horn poke through it. My tail I like to keep short, but it is very nice that way, and hangs in just the right position."
Eye Color:
"If you were to look very closely at my eyes, which I have done plenty of times, you would notice that, though they appear black from a general perspective, they are really an extremely dark shade of purple. Hmm... I like how I worded that. Do you? Maybe I'll use it in a new book,"
Cutie Mark:
"It happens to be a respectable one for an author such as myself: A few sheets of paper with a feather quill and ink well. Somewhat old-fashioned if you ask me, but handsome none the less. I achieved it when I wrote my first long story. One of my proudest moments,"
Other Scars/Markings:
"As I mentioned before, my coat is dappled, but other than that, I am scar free. I mean, paper cuts don't really leave scars. But I've certainly gotten plenty a paper cut in my day!"
Physique:
"Like most authors, I don't get to the gym very often, so I'm not as buff as some of the other stallions around these parts. I'm average in height, and a little skinny if you ask my father."
-Social Stuff-
Current Residence:
"As I am a well renowned author, I prefer the posh life. I live in Manehatten in a two bedroom flat on the outskirts of town."
Job:
"You should know this by now, I must have mentioned it at least 5 times already. I'm an author, and a good one at that,"
Mother:
"Oh, my mother. The one who showed me the essence of creative writing. Her name is Good Read, a librarian and avid reader, oh do I miss her. She still lives in Trottingham with my father, that's where I spent my filly-days."
Father:
"My father, Dipped Ink, has always supported me, and gave me "helpful" criticism along the way. As I said before, he lives in Trottingham with his wife, my mother."
Sibling(s):
"I was an only child, but in some ways, that gave me more room to bond with my parents and let them show me how much I love to write!"
Other Family:
"My mother's sister, my aunt, Spilt Paint, lived with us for a short period of time before she got her own place in Fillydelphia."
Closest Friends:
"I've never had very many friends as I need to be alone when I'm writing,"
Courting/Courted By:
"Now that I'm married, my heart belongs to my wife and no one else,"
Mate:
"My love, Happy Endings, is a teacher at the filly school here in Manehatten. She is so wonderful with children, and with me! She always knows when I need to be alone and when I need her company,"
Foal(s):
"None yet, but Happy has been talking about it. Oh, she would make a great mother,"
-Personality Stuff-
Likes:
"I personally love unexpected endings in books, the smell of new paper, having my name in the paper, seeing someone reading one of my books, and visiting family. Oh! Also when it rains and I have a good excuse for staying inside."
Dislikes:
"Oh, there are so many things that make me mad, but especially when my pencil lead breaks, when I miss my due dates for new publishes, bad endings, and getting bed reviews on my books. I work hard on those stories you know!"
Motivation:
"Writing has always been my motivation. Without that, I don't know what I'd do!"
Strengths:
"I'm very good at leads to hook my reader, my penmanship has always been neat, and well, anything that has to do with writing, I find myself having a knack for!"
Weaknesses/Flaws:
"Unfortunately, I'm not the best at planning. Or finding good names for my books, that's always a challenge. I don't know, I've never tried much else, so I guess maybe you could say I'm not good at trying new things? I prefer to stick to my books. Some ponies think me cocky, including my wife sometimes, so I'm trying to work on that."
Fears:
"Please don't tell anyone, but I have a horrible fear of insects. If there's a spider on my ceiling? I'm screaming and running out the door."
Overall Persona:
"Well, to sum me up, I'm a introverted author who is kind, but shy and withdrawn. Most people have never met me, as I am very aloof. Though there have been several articles about me and my works, very few have ever included a picture. I never crack under pressure, but can be equally friendly and easy to talk to, if only you get to know me. I guess that's the hard part though. I very much enjoy writing and reading, but don't ask to much of me, as I am a very nervous and hidden figure. I'm the guy who rarely leaves his house, but is warm and fuzzy on the inside, you just have to get to know me first. And please try, I'd really like some friends. As shy as I am, I can be goofy, and am surprising good with foals (I must pick it up from Happy Endings). So that's me, the withdrawn, invisible author, you who has now revealed himself."
History/Background:
"Well, lets's see. I haven't started an autobiography yet, but I'm sure I can tell you a little about myself. I was born in Trottingham, to Good Read and Dipped Ink, two very kind and well read ponies. When I started school I was immediately drawn to my English class.I remember there was this one assignment, to write a 30 page story I believe. Unlike most, I eagerly completed this assignment, and the night I finished, my cutie mark appeared!
As a new-found author, I desired a more posh life, so, sadly, I left my parents in Trottingham to live out my days in the cosmopolitan city of Manehatten. The city alone gave me enough inspiration to write my first novel: "Hidden Among the Flowers". A tragic tale of a filly lost in a big city. After publishing a few more adult novels, I was persuaded to create a filly picture book. Trying to introduce fillies to the book, I toured around young filly schools. At one, not only did the school buy several of the books for their library, but I also met the mare of my life, a caring teacher named Happy Endings.
Once we were married, I wrote my best selling novel, "Catch of the Day". To this day, i can not top it's sales. So there you have it, a brief summary of my past."
