Nickname/Alias(es): Rainbow Crash (by some Best Flyers colts, and Spike when she is infected with Poison Oak), Dashie (by Pinkie Pie), and Rainbow (by friends)

Additional Status: the Best Flyer in Equestria (deemed by Princess Celestia herself) and the physical embodiment Element of Loyalty. Owns a pet tortoise named Tank (flies around with a little propeller propelled with magic by Twilight)

Mane/Tail Color and Style: filled with the full, bright spectrum (in order) and spiked in a tomboyish manner, her tail is smoothly spiked at the ends

Cutie Mark: a tri-primary colored bolt of lightning beneath a snow white cloud, representing her love of flying and flying quickly
Other Scars/Markings: she probably has bruises and small scratches scattered throughout her body from crashes and falls while practicing her flying tricks (nopony's perfect), but none are visible plainly. She did injure her wing, but it healed just fine.
Physique: she's slender and muscular, with a good build and strong wings built to last

Cutie Map Alert: When the cutie map calls her to go on a mission, her cutie mark glows and emanates smaller versions of the lightning shape outwards from the center, across her flank.
Rainbow Power: When becoming the full embodiment of the Element of Loyalty, her entire body becomes bright and shining. She has a much fuller, spikier mane, and her hooves and wings become more rainbow-striped and vibrant. Her cutie mark's general shape also appears on her hooves and face, and she gains an almost electric aura around her.
Crystal Pony: When the Crystal Heart had been regained, all in the kingdom became crystalline, including the Mane Six. Rainbow Dash gained the translucency and crystal texture of the regular Crystal Ponies, along with a softer, more-brushed mane with slighter pastel colors. Her eyes became more of a lavender color, also gaining the hexagonal reflections within them. Wrapped into her mane and tail were also a golden band, which only added to the fanciness that Rainbow Dash does not usually prefer.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Rainbow Dash, as she likes to put it, likes only those things which can be classified as the following: radical, awesome, not egghead, or anything of that extent. Such examples only prove that statement to be true. Flying is one of her top priorities and passions, and you can see her on any given day zipping around in the skies, making rainbows wherever she goes. Even as a filly, her love of flying was obvious. The way she saved Fluttershy proved her talent of flying, hence proving to herself that nothing else in the world could top it. The feeling of the wind in her ears, the pressure on her wings, and the cold nip of the air against her face; barely anything is better than that to her.
Of course, friendship tops flying. Hanging out with her friends gives her so much happiness, and friendship only made her better in all that she does. You can tell how she's grown because of friendship, and though she doesn't like to admit it, she's caused more trouble for her friends than what they fix. They always fix it in the end, though, and it's clear to see that Dash is a better mare because of her friends. Friendship, again, tops the list, and a Dash can't think of life without those mares.
Sleeping is definitely in her top three favorite things, and she does it like no tomorrow. Many days you can see her curled up in a cloud, snoozing the day away, though no day is left without flying and possibly crashing. Without all her sleep, Dash could become a mess, crashing and falling more than she ever does, and not paying attention to the clouds and the weather. Luckily, she doesn't take sleep for granted, and enjoys it at any point of leisure she can.
No Dash day is left without a little weather manipulation! As the head of the weather ponies for Ponyville, and the leader of the weather ponies pack in Winter Wrap Up, Dash loves few things more than the feeling of kicking a cloud, or jumping the rain out of a thundercloud, or possibly playing a prank involving lightning. It's also clear to see that weather manipulation is easy for her, the same with most pegasi, though her ease seems even more magnified. Zipping up clouds for rainfall, clearing the sky in "ten seconds flat," or even just clearing the snow from trees, Dash has got everypony beat.
A guilty pleasure for Dash is reading—Daring Do, to be exact—when she has time between all her other activities. Though she calls anything Twilight does "egghead stuff," reading is her only exception. You can find her curled up with a good book in her bedroom, or perhaps hanging in Golden Oaks Library with the latest adventurous tale, or even sneaking a peek at a page during weather manipulation. She's not always the proudest of it, but reading is quite amazing for her.
Dash likes to be the center of attention and to be idolized, as it makes her feel important and wanted. She loves the feeling of so many ponies wanting to be like her in all that she does, though as she says, it's a long shot to be exactly like her; probably impossible (as she likes to think).
Finally, this pegasus loves to prank. As long as nopony is hurt and everypony can have a good laugh about it (some time or another), she knows it's a good prank. Even when the joke's on her, she'll still laugh it off because it's all in good fun. Anything from a lightning bolt zap to a water-squirting turtle gag will please her, though sometimes she has a very precise and awesome prank ready to rip when she's given enough time.

Dislikes: Rainbow Dash does not like the thought of being unable to fly. She hates walking for long periods, and in the maze, it really showed her unease of being wingless. Without the wind and chill of the higher atmosphere, life just isn't the same for Dash. It'd be like taking the party cannon away from Pinkie, or the horn away for. Twilight; she's barely anything. Even though she is seen in the clouds sleeping quite the amount of time, that's different: she's still high up in the clouds. Take away her wings, and Dash is not pleased.
Anything classified under "egghead" (besides Daring Do books, of course) is a dislike for Dash. Be it scientific, mathematical, historic, or literature-based; Dash is not going to pay attention. She also prefers poking fun at it instead of looking into it with more depth. She won't research anything bookish, and anything to do with calculations is out of the question: Dash just doesn't want to do that kind of stuff.
Slow is not in her vocabulary, therefore, anything to that extent is not in her liking. The only exception is her tortoise Tank, but he at least has the propellor to somewhat keep up. Whether it's a slow flier, a slow thinker, or a slow personality-wise pony; Dash is not going to be able to take it for very long.
Dash is not one for staying still for long, unless she's sleeping. She doesn't like not doing anything, though laziness can take over sometimes. She's an active mare, and being perfectly still isn't to her liking. The only time you'll find her in one place for a long time is in a cloud or her bed, snoozing away.
Finally, this pegasus does not like being alone or unpopular, she feels unworthy of anything when she is alone or unnoticed. It pains her to think that other ponies wouldn't want to be around her, and it's quite puzzling to her when her friends get the slightest bit annoyed at her when she is the center of attention.

Motivation: Rainbow Dash yearns to become a Wonderbolt, though her passion is not as intense as she has become a trainee of sorts. She still idolizes them, much like Scootaloo does the cerulean pegasus herself, but her passion is much more in reach than it used to be. This mare also wants to be the fastest flier ever, though she's got Equestria down-pat, as she feels she must be important to feel her best. If she is the best at what she does, then Dash feels she has done her job well; but the opposite is also true.

Strengths: Rainbow Dash is the fastest flier out there, and her strength in her wings shows. She has even performed a Sonic Rainboom three times, perhaps more. If you challenge this mare, watch out, because you'll be left in the dust. She's a lean, mean, fighting machine (and she knows it); but, it doesn't take much to challenge her. She's known for her readiness to accept almost any challenge.
If you know any other pony who's as loyal as this mare, call up Celestia, because that means there's something wrong with the elements. She's not the Element of Loyalty for nothing, and there's no pony out there who can even barely scratch the halfway point of the loyalty that Dash has. She won't leave her friends for anything when she's in her right mind, and nopony could say that she's ever been known to leave a friend in distress. Many notable times can prove her loyalty, though her honesty or kindness can be very much debated.
Another strength is, well, strength. Even when the pegasi are seen as the weaker, thinner ponies, this mare is quite strong for her class. Whether she's keeping up enough momentum not to fly back in weakness when attempting a Sonic Rainboom, holding up under the pressure of keeping the Elements in check, or keeping her cool when so many animals are almost cooking her when they're hungry; this mare is very strong.
Finally, Rainbow Dash is very keen to make note of everything around her. She doesn't even realize she's doing it, but it can help her get out of tough spaces quite easily. While flying, her brain is mulling over every single thing she analyzes and storing it for future use. It's very helpful, and can even help her save a friend or pass a test!

Weaknesses/Flaws: Rainbow Dash is no perfect pony; and she is far from it when it comes to her weaknesses. First of all, she is overly proud of herself. Whether she performs an amazing trick of flying, gains a new fan, or simply feels she is awesome enough to do something; her proudness is an obstacle many a pony has struggled to get over. They all achieve that one point of humbleness that comes along at crucial points, but a patient pony is needed to really get through to the core of gold within.
This pegasus has no limited amount of proudness, but she also has a tendency to have last minute doubts. She seems to crack under too much pressure, such as when she's not sure if she's ready to do something. At the times when she'd usually jump right in, you can find her cowering in a corner, worried to heck about failing. She'll go out and do it because not showing up is almost worst than failing to her, but she may need the extra push to really do the maximum effort.
Dash is known for persistence at times, but sometimes it gets the best of her. She'll just push a bit too far and ruin things without even knowing, and then her persistence is both a blessing and a curse. She'll try her best to help, but sometimes it just makes things worse. Stubbornness applies here as well, and she won't always accept when something has to happen, even going far enough to try and prevent an event (like winter in its entirety) from happening, just so she can have it her way.
Though she is the Element of Loyalty, her loyalty can become too much, such as when she's trying to protect Cloudsdale. Even though she was Discorded, her loyalty for her city was stronger than her loyalty for her friends, which could hurt her again someday. If she was ever to come across a choice like that again, her choice might be colossal enough to hurt either way.
Laziness can come to mind with this pony, and it really can be a burden when she is this way. She's usually an active pony, but when something just seems too hard for her, she can just "shut down" in a way. Anything will seem just too hard for her, and she'll be seen sleeping and snoozing the day away. This doesn't happen too often, but it happens often enough to be tedious.

Fears: Rainbow Dash rarely shows her actual fears, but she has them like any other pony. As seen in the Canterlot maze with Discord, a true fear of hers is Cloudsdale being destroyed. The fear of seeing her hometown destroyed and gone only intensifies the point of her loyalty. Sadly, at least in her Discorded state, she felt more towards her hometown than her friends, but surely that's only when she's her opposite persona.
She also fears of messing up in front of others, as seen in Sonic Rainboom, which can cause her to partially shut down and also take drastic measures. If she fears she can't do something to the best of her abilities (or perfectly, as she would think), she makes sure that she has as much time to either find an escape route or muster up enough courage to just do it anyways. This can sometimes have a positive reaction, but it's hurtful more times than helpful.
Losing friends is a painful fear, and one she prefers not to think about. As seen in Lesson Zero, she stands up for friends if it means preventing one from taking her friends away. She treasures her friends, though she sometimes takes them for granted; and without them, she's nothing but a competitive, brash, slightly senseless pony.

Overall Persona:
Though Rainbow Dash usually acts confident on the outside, she has many mixed feelings on the inside. She feels brave when she's with friends, but sometimes being left alone or helpless makes her feel weak and useless, which cut her down even more. She is loyal, but sometimes her own personality can get the best of her. Even though she is the fastest flyer in Equestria, it doesn't mean that she can blow things off whenever she doesn't feel like doing something, and that message can sometimes get lost in translation for her. It seems to be stuck in her head that if she can find others to do the work, she doesn't have to help often, though she will never say no to a good cloud-kicking.
Rainbow Dash has always had a great loyalty towards family and residence, as seen when she helped the Crystal Empire become the host of the Equestria Games. She feels it's her duty to help those in need to be the best they can, and to accomplish those things that she was never able to do (though she won't always admit to it). She has a deep love for friends, and that helps her loyalty shine bringer than anything else about her. It is truly her friends who make her what she is, as she could have never controlled her more unruly ways if she had never met those who could calm her down.
Her brash, unruly side can get in the way of the softer heart within, and that becomes a problem in rough situations. She will go in head first with her hooves flying, not considering what her actions will bring afterwards. Even in great danger, she is the first to lash out and the first to lay a hoof on the antagonist or bully, and this can sometimes lead to worse situations than the original problem. She has a big heart and an even bigger head (sometimes), but sometimes her eyes are bigger than her hooves; it doesn't always end up well.
Rainbow Dash can have short moments where her competitiveness is overwritten, such as when enjoying a large feat of amazingness with others. She feels awkward, though, accepting such as a loss or tie in this situation, but she's surprisingly docile on this occasion.
Though most who do not know her personally see her as an arrogant, headstrong, lazy pegasus; Rainbow Dash is nothing like that when you truly know her. Sure, she can be those things from time to time, but her friends bring out the best in her, and that's what makes her shine. Throughout the years, Dash has been there for her friends through every hardship; nopony can deny that. Even when she was faced with her biggest dream, she denied it for her friends. Even though she got too caught up in her practicing that she didn't notice the perils ahead, once it was clear that Cadance was not what she said she was, Dash was there to fight. She is truly the best pony to be the Element of Loyalty, and no amount of evil or chaos can change that fact.
