Strengths:
He is really good flier, he is quite enthusiastic for his work and he is also quite resilient, able to withstand failure for quite some time. He could be very hardworking, able to think outside the box and coming with innovations, mostly spontaneously though.
Weaknesses/Flaws:
He does not believe in himself. He is really trying all the time, but somewhere, deep inside he just expected to fail, which in too many cases end in actual failure. And when he fails too many times he needs to run and hide. He is also pretty reckless, unable to think forward or think things through.
Fears:
His biggest fear is, that the others will give up on him. That they will no longer tolerate his screw-up's and failures and just tell him to go away.

Weatherlight is pony very dedicated to his work. He knows, that weather control is really important and necessary and he is doing his work to best of his abilities. He never gives up... or... at least most of the times. He can be very resilient and tireless, but sometimes, when he fails too many times or just big time he will solve his problem with the easiest way - he runs away. He spent some time alone, than he returns like nothing ever happened. But when things are actually going well he is very happy pony, always willing to help the others with pretty much everything. He is laughing often and he also pulls a little prank every now and then. After all, every pony needs to smile at least sometimes.
History:
Weatherlight was born in Cloudsdale as the only child of Snowstorm. He never knew, who his father was and his mother never told him. This absence of father figure in his life caused, that he never learned the proper discipline. That is why he is so reckless, always thinking with his heart, not his brain. This get him into a lot of trouble over the years. Mostly because he just didn't exactly though of aftermath of his actions especially since he started his training as weatherpony. And that is why he was able to flood the weather factory with rainbow, accidently used the entire supply of snowflakes during summer or mix fog with rainbow. He also attended flight camp in Manehatten, where he bonded with his cousin Rusty Spikes. Why in Manehatten? Sad truth was, that his reputation as disaster bringer caught with him and he was simply not allowed to attend flight camp in Cloudsdale. This reputation is also the reason, why he is still in training and his duties could be quite boring.
