Name: Bubbly Beaker
Nickname/Alias(es): Bubbles, Beaker, or Nerdy (by old bullies in high school)

Additional Status: is always wearing thickly rimmed purple square glasses that are a bit crooked on the bridge; her magical aura is sky blue; she has an orange kiwi named Pineapple—she felt it was appropriate.

Pelt Color: pale grey
Mane/Tail Color and Style: electric chartreuse with a lime outlining, her mane is sharply cut with bangs, a bit of upturned fringe at the sides that frame her face, and a long strip of hair that falls below her shoulders. Her tail used to be long as well, but she cut it off herself when she got it burned by a bad potion; now it's quite short and choppy.
Eye Color: neon lavender
Cutie Mark: a bubbling sky blue potion with flecks of purple, hot pink, orange, and chartreuse, with bubbles trailing all the way down her leg
Other Scars/Markings: a cluster of little colorful bubbles around the corner of her eye
Physique: she's a bit short for her age.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Ever since she was a little filly, she has always loved science. Math is also up there, along with anything to do with potions. She's also a lover of good books, and a writer as well. She's also one for experiments, and one for testing anything she can when she's curious enough (and brave enough) to try it. She also enjoys sci-fi culture, and aspires to help create technology and magical equipment that mirrors those of which are in the stories and such she reads—the realistic things, at least.
Dislikes: She hates spiders and can't stand the sight of gore, but of what she really is intolerant is an untamed flame. Ever since she burnt off half her tail with an enchanted fire, she's never liked any flame not in a pit, oven, or any other means of containment. One odd dislike she has is apple juice; she's never really known why she likes apples but hates the juice. It's just one of her "special ways." She also really dislikes stubborn ponies, given the fact that she has a lot of unusual ideas and views.
Motivation: She wants to become a scientist or mathematician when she gets out of college, so she always pushes herself to get the highest grades she can on any assignment she can, along with becoming as knowledgeable about the subjects she loves as she can. Another motivator of hers is inspiration, really of any sort, and the vision of the future she has in her head—she aspires greatly to help make Equestria better rather than affect it negatively.
Strengths: She's a strong potion-brewer, a smart mathematician, and a crazy scientist. Of course she's also quite the analytical thinker; she was in algebra a year before the usual pony. She's skilled in levitation spells (years of lifting potions and such can give you practice) and a few spells that can change the temperature in a small area, but that's the most magic she really knows.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Bubbles has a tendency to let her fears overtake her if she is met with one of them, while the rest of the time she's perfectly fine. She's no major magic scholar, so her skills are focused mainly on simple levitation spells and temperature-altering spells. All her other magical know-how is potions-based, and her other know-how is scientific and mathematic. She's no artsy pony, and isn't the best at coming up with things on the spot.
Fears: Due to a traumatizing event including the gap between the floor of her house and the ground, a mother spider and her just-hatched babies, and a rather large spider web, Bubbles is completely and utterly freaked out by spiders of any size and shape—no matter it be alive or in print. It goes far enough to where she cringes when she reads anything including the arachnid, possibly even having to stop reading the book. Given her persistence and somewhat self-diagnosed OCD, she has a big problem with failure. Any instance of failure can hinder her progress, and she needs another pony to snap her out of it. High heights and deep depths scare her greatly—any time there is a big drop off or large canyon, she'll freeze up—it'll take a minute or so for her to come back. Thanks to nightmares as a filly, these fears will stick with her for quite a long time. Finally, because of the same incident that burned her tail, she has developed a rather prominent fear of fire—she reacts similar to when she is around heights or depths.
Personality: Bubbly Beaker is a very positive and somewhat spazzy young mare with big aspirations and big goals for her future. She's highly capable of making other ponies question her sanity, as well as being a tough and true friend. She's the kind of mare who will freak out over due dates and projects, and yet still procrastinate enough to cause the "freaking out."
She isn't the kind of mare to judge the outside, and doesn't do a lot for herself in terms of physical change—she's fairly active in nature and prefers her natural look compared to hours of styling and such. Rather than judging the book by its cover, she reads the book at least twice before giving judgement in any way—hypothetically, of course—if giving any judgement at all.
Bubbles enjoys trying new things, and is always traveling around to explore new places and try out new activities and things as such, she always keeps a souvenir from every trip on a little bookshelf she continues to add to all the time. She believes in objects holding memories, and has been working on a way to imbue residual memories into the objects—but that of course is highly theoretical and probably way past her ranges of magic. But Bubbles is a dreamer, and has those kinds of ideas all the time.
Overall, this mare isn't exactly a "sit-down" type of pony, but rather the kind that will push others past their limits—respectively—and cheer them on, while exerting herself just as far.
