-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Moonstar loves anything that has to do with stars. Night is her favorite time of day, especially sunset. Since there are so many constellations that most ponies don't see, she likes to study a lot. She enjoys singing to herself while she's out of the field with her telescope. Her favorite type of food are moonpies. She really likes meeting new ponies and sharing what she has learned.
Dislikes: Mooney doesn't like mornings very much, more so than most ponies. She hates them so much, she won't go outside before noon. Hot days drain her, especially, so she tries her best to avoid them. Cloudy nights and light-pollution leave her less than thrilled. Also, mean ponies are a total downer in her book. Moon doesn't like loud music much either.
Motivation: Moonstar only needs the night sky for motivation. Each constellation has a unique story to it that holds a special lesson to be learned. Sharing the morality and advice from those stories with other ponies is her greatest motivation.
Strengths: Moon is very easy to talk to and befriend. She is really good at giving advice as well. She always knows what to tell some pony having a problem. Whether it be big or small, Moonstar is always there to help. She has an uncanny ability to look at the whole problem, rather than just paying attention to the details. She'll never turn her back on a pony in need.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Moon tends to be grumpy during the day. Daylight just seems to sap the energy right out of her causing her to be impulsive and brutally honest without thinking about those she is hurting. She is also absent minded and easily distracted, making casual conversation quite difficult. Moonstar can also be overbearing when talking about her work. She is clumsy, too. She is the only pony she knows that can trip over nothing.
Fears: Moonstar is afraid that nopony will like her. She is also afraid of being made the 'fool' in the eyes of other ponies and that the stories she shares are nothing but silly foal stories. She has had a very irrational fear of the sun never setting ever since she had a bad dream as a young colt. Also that ever-growing cities will create so much light-pollution that the beauty of the night sky will forever go unnoticed. Clowns frighten her as well how snakes and spiders scare most other ponies. They give her the heeby-jeebies and cause her to run the opposite direction.
Personality: Calculative and overzealous about her work, Moonstar often spends her time alone. Mostly she is calm and collected, unless it is daytime, which can cause her to be grumpy and unpleasant to ponies around her. But she doesn't mean to be mean, it is just something she cannot help. Moonstar has a strange sense of humor, since she can identify with all types of jokes. From toilet humor to the more brainy, she laughs at it all. However, her wide range of humor often comes out at the wrong time, making encounters awkward. Moon has a hard time determining appropriate times for things, so she prefers to hang in the background when events and social gatherings are happening until she gets the feel of how to act. She is a tad bit stand-off-ish when first meeting new ponies, but warms up to them quite quickly. It is something she does to 'test the waters', so to speak.
History/Background: Moonstar grew up in Canterlot with her mother, father and her grandmother, Moondancer. She recently moved from Canterlot to Ponyville due to the light-pollution at night hindering her work.
