-General Stuff-
Name: Galvanic Reaction
Nickname/Alias(es): Gal, Gally, Thunderbuns
Race: Pegasus
Gender: Female
Age: Mare
Additional Status: Generally she is never seen without her headphones, and when she's not wearing them they hang around her neck.
-Physical Stuff-
Pelt Color: Pale Pink, and Dark Blue
Mane/Tail Color and Style: Shock White and Luminous Purple. While most of her mane is purple and drops down into a cyclonic twist, a small patch of her mane on the left side is white and spiky.
Eye Color: Light blue on the right, dark brown on the left.
Cutie Mark: A tornado and a fork of lightning wrapping around one another.
Other Scars/Markings: Has a prominent scar across the bridge of her snout. While the majority of her body is dark blue, the pale pink sections of her aren't as softly rounded as most ponies, instead seeming as though someone painted squares and segments onto her in places. The most noticeable patch is on her face, engulfing most of the left side of her face and upper jaw.
Physique: Galvanic is an extremely large and muscular female, generally looking like (and often being mistaken for) most stallions. She has the general build of a Clydesdale, with years of working in the mill adding to her muscular bulk. Aside from her multicolored pelt, on the extremely rare occasions that she's seen smiling, one might notice half of her top teeth seem minutely longer than the other half, giving her a lopsided smile.

-Personality Stuff-
Likes: Being left to her own devices, classical music, and fresh bread. She also enjoys putting on her headphones and pantomiming action scenes in time with the music. Gal also has a fondness for dramatic weather, such as thunderstorms and tornadoes. She also enjoys learning new languages, and reading suspense novels. Gally has a particular weakness for hard sweets, such as peppermints and jawbreakers, and a terrific fondness of lollipops and suckers.
Dislikes: Meeting new ponies, being put on the spot, and being micromanaged. While she has no problem with large crowds (such as a crowded marketplace) she actively avoids small crowds of ponies when she can. She also dislikes hearing ponies speak in a language (or way) she doesn't understand. She also dislikes ponies who brag.
Motivation: Galvanic is pure stubborn determination, and once she sets her mind on a goal she'll plow clean through walls to get to it. She also strives to maintain her own self image in public, often leading her to do things she doesn't entirely think are good ideas.
Strengths: Aside from her sheer powerhouse nature, you can count on Galvanic to get something done once she begins it. Gally can also put up with a lot more physical pain than others can, and also will generally think about others she cares about in the background of her mind often, leading to unexpected displays of caring for them.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Galvanic has an exceeding large and fragile ego. Much of her day is spent working to maintain her reputation and image, which is gradually crowding out her genuine personality. She's also paranoid that ponies are talking behind her back, and overcompensates for what she thinks they're saying through preventative aggression. In addition, her obsession with image has caused her to be somewhat superficial.
Fears: Gally is terrified of the sound of laughter nearby, especially when she hears it after she has just walked past. She'll often pause to listen to see if they're laughing about her. She's also petrified at the thought of her image being shattered, and worried that she'd never be able to restore it. She also has a mild fear of raging rivers.
Personality: Galvanic Reaction is a big ball of self-importance and tenuously crafted self-visualization, stuffed inside a stunningly fragile ego that's protected on all sides by sheet metal panels of coarse, loutish behavior. Generally she tends to comment with disparaging remarks about others in order to make herself look better in comparison, and also to keep others from having a chance to make the same remarks about her. She has a surprisingly long fuse when it comes to showing her temper, as exposing her temper generally means her defenses are down and she's no longer protecting her image, but speaking from her closely guarded core. While one wouldn't think of it to look at her, she's actually quite shy, and exhibits this shyness by remaining aloof and removed from most events or convivial groups, usually stalking the outskirts of parties, sitting at tables far from groups, and drowning out most other things with her headphones. Despite being uncouth, aggressive, and blunt, she genuinely likes to view herself deep down as helpful, caring, and willing to sacrifice herself for others, although this is typically done by fantasizing about some tremendous disaster, and imagining herself as the unstoppable juggernaut lifting up burning hunks of wreckage to save trembling ponies. If one were to observe her when she was all alone, they'd see her pantomiming these actions to music in her room. Generally Galvanic is nonviolent, and although she's not above clocking somepony when infuriated, she's far more likely to leave the situation first. You can generally tell how flustered she's becoming by how intelligent her comments are getting, as she often hides her intellect in favor of scathing remarks.
History/Background: Galvanic grew up in a home that was loving, but not without its problems. Her parents were gifted researchers and scientists, and although they were loving and kind, they were socially stupefied my most situations their young daughter would encounter. Of course Galvanic rarely told her parents about what went on at school, not wanting them to worry. At home, of course, she was polite, helpful, and often given to daydreaming. She was an awkward child, with enormous hooves for a young filly, and her patchwork appearance caused her to be a popular targets for jibes and jokes from the others. At first she found these to be funny, until she got older and began to understand the subtext of most of what was being said about her. Her response was at first to withdraw herself, retreating inwards to simply avoid others, but when this failed she turned to aggression. Armed with a surprisingly complex vocabulary from spending a great deal of her youth reading, Galvanic was able to generally not only give back what she was given, but heap on her own insults and observations that reduced her opponents to shivering piles of self-doubt. Finding that she enjoyed being feared and respected more than she enjoyed being bullied and made fun of, she kept at it, gradually turning herself into a somewhat mysterious, feared brute that most ponies would steer clear to avoid in hallways with manic urgency. Mixed with the fact that she was always large for her age and began to tower over her classmates, this made her a force to be reckoned with.
Her life took a change when her new class contained an undersized unicorn in an eye-patch. Generally Galvanic didn't seek out other ponies to torment, just those that wandered into her radius of contempt. But the eye-patch intrigued her and the nonplussed personality was curious, so when it came time to form teams for a writing project, Galvanic approached Rivet Stitch the way a glacier approaches a cruise liner. Despite her ominous reputation that most of the ponies in school were aware of, the small unicorn filly showed no fear or apprehension whatsoever. She even looked a little bored. Of course on the inside Rivet was terrified beyond reproach, and so she said nothing but remained perfectly motionless as Galvanic tugged off her eye-patch in one smooth movement, and peered intently at her wincing eyes. Surprised that this pony she'd never noticed before had mismatched eyes like her own and didn't seem to exhibit either fear or hostility, Galvanic let down her shields temporarily and introduced herself, to the first friend she'd ever made. After asking if she could have her eye-patch back, Rivet responded in kind.
While Galvanic maintained her aggressive, wrath-filled persona, she had now expanded it outwards, encompassing her new friend Rivet as part of her defended territory, coming down hard on anyone who even thought about picking on her. Away from the eyes of classmates they worked in harmony, Galvanic helping Rivet with her writing, Rivet helping Galvanic with the sciences. They were even responsible for one another's Cutie Marks, but that's a story for another time. Eventually, Rivet went off to medical school, and Galvanic moved away to Cloudsdale to begin work as a weatherpony, but they've kept in correspondence ever since.
